What a great idea - there must be hundreds of UK Disney Magic fans who are hoping to welcome the Magic to the UK! We ar definitely up for it as long as it doesn't clash with any of DS's GCSE exams.

Rick and I definitely want to go down to Dover at some point whilst the Magic is over here.

Good day to you all!

I apologize if some of you have already heard but I wanted to take a minute and ask for your support.

In my athletic career I had the honor of representing our great country in the spirit of athletic competition. This came with great responsibility to always put my all into every aspect of my running career. Be it during workouts, at competitions, media interviews or just running normal errands I made sure to always have a positive attitude and outlook. Sharing my story in a pursuit to inspire others through my experiences was and continues to be my mission!

Through athletics I met extraordinary individuals who continue to this day to inspire me! I experienced different cultures which helped to mold me into the person I am today. But most importantly, I had the honor to represent our great country to the world as an ambassador and truly show how brightly the human spirit can shine!

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I’d receive the ultimate Olympic honor. To be nominated to be inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame! To have the chance to be in the company of some of the greatest athletes in the world leaves me speechless. Athletes like Jesse Owens, Muhammad Ali, Mark Spitz, Mary Lou Retton and John Morgan just to name a few.

Its for your own good DW, you will not like going all that way and then not getting on the ship, You nearly cried last time when you set eyes on the magic and that time we were getting on her. If we must go then we are travelling back seperately or you can go by yourself. (Dover is South East of us close to France, just get on the Train to London then ask again when you get there)

I just checked out the website and it seems so much is going on. We're something like 500 days out, right?! That still seems like an eternity.

Anyway, I'm going to try and keep up this time, though I'm not sure how thoroughly. Until then, I see a "link" for a facebook group on the website but it just links me to the image.... is there one yet? I'm going to try and keep track of you all one way or another!

Oh don't know if its on Disney's list but the Grand Marina hotel my parents stayed at last time (07) was lovely. It was really close to everything and really nice. We (me and my sister) stayed at the hotel at the airport (Rennaissance) as only arrived late the night before the cruise and this too was very nice just for somewhere to sleep.

The Grand Marina is wonderful and we stayed there in 2007 as well. This time around it is not on Disney's list. We are staying at the LeMeridian. There are a couple of others and I know they are marked on the google map on the web page for this cruise. All of them are expensive and there may be less expensive options if you book yourself.

OK have to save us from the depths of page 2. I wont be online for next few days (no phone line in the new flat as of yet so no broadband and going back to the old flat tomorrow to clean and hand over the keys). Hope everyone has a nice weekend. It's a bank holiday in the UK so we are all off on Monday here and going to Cardiff for the night on Sunday which should be good.

Oh and forgot to say yesterday. I saw a preview on Tuesday of Star Trek (doesn't come out over here for 2 weeks) and it is absolutely amazing! I was blown away! Even my sister who came with me her hubby and DBF enjoyed it and she hates Star Trek. Anyone into action/sci-fi movies will love it as will true trekies. It has some brilliant twists.

Also meant to say I saw Coraline last weekend as well. This was a bit weird. It's done by the Director of Nightmare Before Christmas and I wasn't sure if I liked it. The movie is in 3D which is fantastic but the story was a little disturbing. So far all the kids (6 and under) that I've heard have seen it have been scared which doesn't surprise me. The idea of having your eyes replaced with buttons is creepy to me let alone kids and don't get me started on the Spider-woman at the end!

And saw State of Play last Monday (I know right 3 free movies in just over a week! I was mega lucky to get preview tickets) and that was really good. Not a big fan of Russell Crowe but the movie outshone that and I honestly felt it was one of the best movies of the year (though Star Trek so out does this).

lol I'm sure youll like this as it has the feeling of a really good action movie mixed with next gen. Definately my favourite!
