It is a get together of lots of people who love anything Disney.

That will give a little idea of it. We got there on Friday night last year and there was a meet and greet with some horsey dorseys, a few door prizes and just a chance to say hi to friends. On Saturday it is a whirlwind of fun. After standing in line to register, you are welcomed into a huge ballroom and you start of by going around with a piece of paper looking for people that have done something on that page. Kinda like blackout in Bingo. You then sit down and they start with the prize drawings which is done all day. Last year the main speaker was Dave Anderson who worked with Walt. Then there were breakouts where you could choose who you wanted to listen to whether it was Deb Wills on cruising, Steve Barrett on Hidden Mickeys plus Justin Muchoney the CMO. There is a buffet lunch, more drawings and also a silent auction. I bid on and won a breakfast with Deb Wills in the Roy Disney Suite which we did in December. That was so much fun and well worth the $$. You can purchase books and other things from all of the sponsors too. Some people stay over saturday night and then go to Hershey Park. This will be the third year for Stephanie and I and we really have such a great time.

It is another way to meet folks you have chatted online with from the websites you visit.

Good news! I was able to save Mickey!!!!

Not sure if we're going to name it (I don't know if it's a girl or boy) Mickey or not, but it is mine! Right now I'm going to keep baby and mommy at my house until the baby can be weened in three weeks. The baby doesn't even have its eyes open yet but it is getting its fur!!!! I'm so excited to have a pet again!!!! It's been a LONG time!

I have not really had any memorable holidays. My family did not really celebrate anything apart from birthdays and we (DH and I ) don't really celebrate anything either. The closest would be Halloween 1999 when I got baptized, but that was just coincidence that this fell on a holiday.

Thats much the same for us, in fact last Christmas my Mum and I decided to leave the craziness behind us and took a cruise. It was decidedly non-christmasy. In fact, it was so good, we may escape again this year
We just got fed up with feeling Christmas was being forced upon us.

Now birthdays in our family are very special, especially when we were children, we could drag it out for a whole week sometimes with our favourite meals being for dinner and so forth. Birthday cards stayed up for about a month too.

For Easter, I just have a lazy long week at home. The only easter egg I had was at work from a grateful supplier.

For people of the Christian faith, I know these are very important occasions and it saddens me how commercial they have become.

Okay, I have to brag a little. No matter what your opinion in politics is, it is still nice to be recognized. My DSiL was asked to introduce Obama last August in Lancaster, Pa even thought he was of the opposite feeling. Apparently whatever he said in his email was enough to be asked. Well, he and my DD just got home from being asked to the White House (well actually the Eisenhower Building next to the White House) today when Obama gave a speech about taxes. They were featured on the 6:00 news and you could see them in the Nightly News.

Lenzs4 - what about water bottle holders that they could even decorate. When I lived in Phoenix, we did that one year for the kids. Oriental Trading has some great ideas if you have a catalog. It depends how much you want to spend.

You'll need to upload it to a site, then post it as an image. You can use disboards' photo sharing site - http://photopost.wdwinfo.com/

To post an image, use IMG tags - remove the spaces by the brackets, put [ IMG ] before and [ /IMG ] after the URL(so for example: [ IMG ]http://example.com/photo[ /IMG ]

just catching up on all the posts here the last few days.

We actually have sun today and headed for 80 degrees which is 30 degrees above normal for this part of Oregon. Cant wait to get back to Florida in a few weeks. Then I will have sun almost everyday

Hope everyone is having a good start to their week today.

I'll check back when I can, still busy with mom and cleaning out her place. This week while I am at home for a couple of days I am down loading old photos and making copies for my brothers so we can all have copies.
I seem to have caught a nasty cold,so that is a good sit down job for me this week.
