I did it! I talked DH into the Panama Canal cruise in January. Finally got it booked this morning. Looking forward to seeing some of you on that one.

I am so excited. When I unpacked from WBTA I put all the cruise items in a box so would be able to get to it for next cruise. I didn't think it would be this soon. So now we are on a countdown of 77 days!

Also have tentative res for Alaska on Aug 30, 2011.

WOW, how do you guys find the time to post, get your photo's sorted and have a life. I am hectic, getting back to over a months worth of paperwork, kids back to school, a months worth of washing, ect.... I just can't find the time to get on here at the moment.

Well, personally, I can do all of that cause I don't have any children at home (mine are grown and don't seem to need me). I don't have to worry about back to school, homework, sports schedules, etc. Been there - done that. So, I can take time to be on here and to sort photos.

It is just hubby and I since the kids are all gone with their own families. Since I am still unemployed, I have all the time I need. I just need to get over this Vertigo. Been doing laundry in stages since I don't need the shorts and t-shirts. I have been working on my trip report in stages.

yeah i plan on travelling to the US via westbound cruise spending 2-3 months doing a round trip around the US then off to canada then off to japan .. then hopefully to either new zealand or australia or maybe south america not decided yet then back home in all i am hoping to be away for about six months

If you head this way, feel free to let me know and you can stay a few days or just pick my brains for stuff to do ... same goes for any Dis'ers

Just a quick sign in to say hello to fellow cruisers!

We did book the Fantasy for the Maiden Voyage. Not sure if we were crazy or foolish, but we did it!

We're also going to keep the Van - LAX repo of the Wonder in September (9/20/2011) and then spend a few days at D'land (hopefully getting the Villas at the Grand California) visiting with old friends and relaxing!

We did the maiden of the Magic... never a regret. Some passengers had problems in the bathrooms, we were on deck 5...not one thing went wrong for us. I would love to do another maiden... Fantasy! What a dream! Crazy... yes ...foolish, Never!

I know what you mean ... getting back to college schedules, University schedules... 2 kids who haven't an ounce of common sense or organisational skills between them, financial hassles and household paperwork / online stuff, organising a trip to London for Halloween weekend which I could well do without for the hassle it's causing trying to organise the kids and their friends, not to mention work, shopping, housework etc etc etc = STRESS !!!
I can't even think about booking another vacation to focus on because of Taryn and the college programme and on top of that we have the winter approaching, the dark nights and my Seasonal Affective Disorder which makes me a bundle of laughs to live with ... NOT. Can I scream now please

There area few of us from here on the PC. Not sure if we met, but I will look out for you. I think if you want a lanyard you have to order one today, but they are doing wristbands too which I don't think the time is up for ordering. If not, wear your TA yellow one and I will sure notice that one/

everyone THANK YOU for the kind words its great to know I made people smile

I really loved the cruise and being at disney world and yes I really love travelling and meeting people its great fun !

I had a great time with the characters – they were among the best mind you in Disney world I saw mini mouse all alone in Hollywood studios she was knelt down as she had just been with a kid I helped her up and said how much i loved mini and what she had done for me as a child when i was scared of the characters she was awesome. She spent ages with me just completely doted over me – that was awesome. I know the reality but it does not matter.

Really it was great for me I have a very stressful job and to be able to have some real fun when i go on vacation is great its just what i need and hopefully next year I will be able to do what I plan. It does mean I need to save cash so nothing extravagant for the next 10 months.

I have already started to save as much money as I can about 2/thirds of my wages a month I need a certain amount for keeping me going when I return that’s the first thing. Then everything I make beyond that amount is escape money.

You are all right life is for living and to have some fun ... I have a nephew and niece from my sister I will miss them but hay what an adventure! Besides I am probably at my happiest when travelling and meeting new people. You are right if i do not do it now I never will.

This weekend I will start to upload my trip report and photos I am using yahoo groups to do it .. There are some pictures of friends like Walt and DI and Stuart who were great I will make it open so everyone can see them.

To you all I REALLY enjoyed the cruise and disney world it was a blast meeting new people and maybe we will meet one another again .. it was said to me "this is a reunion" I can see why people go back on cruise. Next year is massive for me it’s always been in my plan that 40 would be a time of change and a time to review my life and I am really looking forward to it.

I really loved being on the cruise it was an amazing experience .. even when i did not enjoy some of the organised tours I loved the travelling ..

HA HA HA HA HA!!! Time? Whats time??? Granted, I posted pictures but I did no editing, no turning - just a raw dump of photos... I haven't touched my scrapbook since being home (but I did get many pages done while on board so that was a huge help. I lucked out in that Glenn did laundry towards the end of the tripo so we went home with mostly clean clothes.I still have suitcases of other "stuff" sitting in the bedroom, and no time or desire to unpack them. I still need to send hard copies of menues to Sarah (I haven't forgotten - just can't get unburied to get to the post office).

There are lights for SAD. We have a friend that uses one and says it helps.

OK this is especially to Mandy - would message on FB but can't get on in work.

The mystery about Ruby Tuesday is that the flap had completely broken. She was flown back with no one on her bar pilot and skeleton crew. She has since then sat in the hanger at Gatwick waiting for a replacement flap and is still there as far as we know.

Wow! Guess that explains it then......glad I wasn't on the flight that did make it out to MCO really........ we haven't heard anythign back from VA yet......suppose it'll take a while though
