I was hoping we would do a Mickey Mouse theme night as we did on the last cruise so I wanted to shop people what someone looked like.

The morning I got up to see the sunrise, it rained! LOL!!!

It's been an interesting couple of days for my sister and my parents. My sister bought a brand new Hyndai Genesis last weekend. She picked up the car on Tuesday and inquired about the wheel locks and she was told they were on the car. Fast forward to Thursday morning - she's ready to leave for work and find her brand new car on milk crates - some idiots stole her 4 wheels! It gets better... the four wheels on my dad's Honda Fit were also gone.

My parents don't live in a bad neighborhood however there has been many reports of this happening in their township. The police were called, the car was dusted for prints so we'll see what happens.

Needless to say, my sister's car had no wheel locks on it. Friday afternoon the dealership came out and put new tires on her car. My parent's Fit was fitted with four spare tires and towed to the dealership where they are waiting for new tires. There was about $6000 worth of wheels (nobody in my family knew they were that much) from the driveway. Isn't terrible?!

Well, I am bursting with news. Probably everybody on here knows that I went for an interview in Dubai over the weekend. I flew home yesterday afternoon and was not supposed to hear the outcome until next week. I got in the office today and I had a job offer in my inbox. They want me within the next month or so. I am both excited and scared stiff. Being in Dubai again made me realize just how much I love this place and I cried a little tear when I left. Little did I know that I would return so soon and permanently. I really thought I had blown the interview. I have a mind of my own and I am not afraid to speak it. I was not sure how this had come across. I was interviewed by somebody from HR and my future manager, who I really like. I also met some of my new colleagues and everybody who I had the chance to meet was wonderful. I am looking forward to making new friends, but I am also sad to say goodbye to my friends in the office here.

I flew home yesterday afternoon and was not supposed to hear the outcome until next week. I got in the office today and I had a job offer in my inbox. They want me within the next month or so. I am both excited and scared stiff. Being in Dubai again made me realize just how much I love this place and I cried a little tear when I left. So three days before the biggest shopping day of the year in the USA I get sick! Go figure. I have an ear infection and I think the start of bronchitis. I have meds so I REALLY hope they work!

That was a shame. I missed it too as I didn't stay at the meet too long. John hates those kind of gatherings, so I went on my own but soon wandered back to the cabin. I was wanting to get unpacked, but we just didn't get our bags till very late. We had to go and hassle the room hosts eventually. They were behind the door in their little room so they missed them!

My hubby hates large groups too, so I missed it guess I will have to photoshop us in rofl.

Does anyoen have any good pics pf the PJ breakfast group shot, and Champaign ladies. Doing our annual christmas DVD and missing some photos.
Or any photos you may have taken of Myself or Glenn.

I am feeling much better! The meds must be working because I felt well enough to brave the grocery store today!

I start work on Black Friday at 4am so that means I'll have to be up by 2:15ish in order to leave by 3am to make it to the mall before 4am. The Disney Store opens at midnight tomorrow night so it will be busy by the time I arrive. I'm just hoping parking isn't too horrible since it's going to rain. I'm glad to be working so early though - it's fun on Black Friday! I just drink lots and lots of coffee and Coke Zero and I'm fine! LOL!!!!

For all of my cruise friends who aren't from the US, when is your official start of the holiday season? Thanksgiving is truly the kick off for Christmas in the states and Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year. Are there any big shopping days where you live? I love learning about things like this!

Im doing the cooking again, wanting to put up more Christmas goodies but the cold wind is getting to be a problem.
Howard and I did buy ourselves an early Christmas gift.... a Wii !
before Black Friday so if we have a problem with it we wont have to take it back on Dec 26!

Pleased to hear you are feeling better Amy. I don't know when the "official" start to the holiday season would be in the Uk. Personally I don't think about it until December starts, then we decorate the hosue and put up a tree round about 12 days before Christmas. This year Tony and I are working all over Christmas ... we only have the 29th off together over the whole 2 weeks. On Christmas day we will have about 3 hours together.

We don't have a "Black Friday" although I wish we did as I love bargain shopping. Our official sales mostly start on Boxing Day but these days some retailers have sales before Christmas. I think it all depends on how sales are going in the run-up to Christmas really. Do you have lots of bargains in the Disney Store ... does the Black Friday thing apply to on-line shoppping as well or do you all have to physically brave the stores, and are the stores all mega mega busy. I am like you ... I love hearing about what goes on in other countries.

Hi Yes, we have had a good few flurries, some heavy. But it isn't sticking much, and will be getting better throughout the day. Yes, very cold. I'm staying in today, because I can!!!

Are you having a big clear out? I keep doing bags and taking them down to one of the many charity shops in Harrogate. As our lovely neighbour has terminal bowel cancer(and is not good at the moment), the cancer ones are our choice right now.
