Walt and I have done that little excursion before when we were in San Franscisco. It was great.
We hope you enjoyed your trip as much as we did ours. Did you guys take lots of pictures?

I just looked at mine. Does the certificate have a number. Because mine only says Edition size 1,100 Artist proofs 50 Total Edition 1,150. There is no number on the print.
What was wrong with yours?

Hi everyone, I am here and have been reading every day. Things come in threes and mine have been dealing with this stinking Vertigo and double vision, my mother is not doing well and Hal's mother was not doing well either.
Today Hal's mother Oma went to cross over the Rainbow Bridge to finally see her youngest son Brad and her beloved doggie Freddie. She had been in and out of the hospital a few times and was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. We really didn't think she would last until Thanksgiving. She lived a full 86 years. I just got off the phone with my youngest and sent him a ticket so he could get up here to be with the family.
According to my one sister, my mom is doing better. She has been in a wheelchair since May and now is in a rehab hospital. I don't know much more but will find out when my other sister calls.
Right now I am trying to work on my trip report to keep my mind focused. My MRI is scheduled for Tuesday and I hope to get some answers when the Dr gets the results.
Just want to share what John and I did today. We drove up to Sausalito, got lunch to go at Sam's BFF's family store, Mollie Stones. Afterward we drove to Stinson Beach to eat our lunch. Once lunch was done, we went to Muir Woods. All in all a sunny, wonderful day...with temps in the mid 70's. I hope to post some pics later.
I had to work yesterday and had a rather exciting day. Those of you that have followed the Dubai saga, well, we have lift off. I had spoken to HR in Dubai on Monday and I was promised that they would make arrangements for me to do the written assessment here in Manchester and were supposed to get in touch with me the following day. Of course, that did not happen. I started to get rather frustrated with it all. Yesterday morning I had a call from one of our managers before my alarm had even gone off. She did not say much, just that we had heard from Dubai and could I please bring my passport to work as they needed some information. When I got to work, I saw that they had scheduled my written assessment for that morning. They also wanted a copy of the passport so that they could get started on making arrangements for flights and accommodation for me to come over to Dubai for more assessments and an interview subject to me passing the written assessment. Well, the assessment was easy. It covered what I do in my day to day work. My manager emailed it back and within a couple of hours I got a response that I had passed and they now formally invited me to come to Dubai from November 20th to 22nd for the next stage of the application process. I am just waiting for my confirmation for flights and the hotel now, but I am getting rather excited.

Absolutely love your photos .. there are so many beautiful places in the USA .. you guys are so lucky.
Yesterday John had jury duty. He was not chosen to serve from the jury pool but he had an interesting day. Potential juror number two was Joan Baez who also lives in Woodside. John says the attorneys question her extensively but she was not chosen, She spoke about her political views, ex husband David Harris and son drummer Gabriel Harris which John found interesting. I remember when she used to date Steve Jobs who also lives in Woodside.
Len got chosen ,then was gutted that the civil service was on strike that week, so he never got.
Noel.... how do you do that, you know, replace the link with a name or soemthing?
When you reply you see a symbol that looks like an earth with glasses on the bottom. You highlight the word or phrase you want to hot link first. Then you click on that symbol and paste the URL into the box that comes up.
Jury service in the UK (or at least in England) works differently. I was called for jury service in October 2007. I had to report to court every morning for two weeks. On the first morning, you get a bit of training an then you sit in the jury waiting area and wait to be called. The computer randomly selects the correct number for a jury plus two alternates. You are then taken to the court room an the prosecution and defense have the ability to object if they know of a link between any juror and anybody involved in the case. At this stage the prospective jurors are also asked if they know anybody in the court room. If this is not the case then the computer selects the correct number of jurors and the other two are going back to the jury waiting room waiting to be called again. When your trial is finished, you go back to the jury waiting room to see if you are going to be called for another trial. My first trial took 3.5 days and I was the jury foreperson for this. I did not have to come in on the Friday as no new trials start on a Friday. I then spent all of the second Monday and half of the Tuesday sitting in the waiting room and then I was called again for another trial on Tuesday afternoon. Once that trial finished on the Thursday afternoon, we were then dismissed. I found the whole process very interesting.

link doesn't work because you have http twice. When you edit, and click on the world, remove the whole link and repaste with only http://www.braidvet.co.uk/page-sub.aspx?pageID=9
