Just wanted to pop in and say HELLO

DH and I had an old family friend over this afternoon/evening and it was really nice. We all went to school together so it was a lot of "remember when" conversation going on.

DD and myself are slowly getting things together for her yard sale on the 2nd of Sept. Boy, now I remember why I quit having yard sales...way to much work She has a lot of baby items etc... hope it sales and sales fast so it's over with. What ever is left will go to straight to Hospice. At one point today I was almost willing to just write her a check and haul it all straight to Hospice But she is saving for the cruise, going to school full time only leaves time for working part time. Well I'm sure we'll be doing a repeat of the same thing tomorrow

Hi I wasn't around because my power went out yesterday afternoon and only came on a little time ago. It is like 100 degrees here, it is bad! There is only a few things I need to do now for the cruise. I need to still get DSs good dress pants and shirts, get my dress hemmed up, get me good shoes, and I need to get everyone needs new socks and underwear then I'm done. Thje only other thing is to make our pillowcases to have signed and to get permission to have the kids taken out of school which is probably the hardest thing to do. I'm starting to have butterflies now. My mom is the one that needs all the prayers, she will never be ready.
Alison's 5th birthday is tomorrow and she is excited! Another thing to buy, do you have any ideas for me. They don't need any spending money, that is all they have been getting the last two years. We buy them Disney Dollars for everything-Birthdays, Easter, Christmas. Well, I need to go to bed, I have to work 5 A.M.to 1 P.M. tomorrow. I'm glad everyone is doing fine, have a Good Day tomorrow if I don't talk to you because I have a busy day with Alison tomorrow.

We are true blood Buckeyes as well...If they are the screen anywhere while sailing, I am sure DH & DS will see your husband there! They are both bummed becasue we are going to miss two home games while we are gone...and if I remember correctly, one of them is the first Big Ten game for us!

True blood Buckeye here as well. Second generation as my dad got his Masters from OSU and I got my undergrad there. I think we will miss the game on the 24th because we will be traveling?

Found this link on the main board for those who don't know about the pillowcases!! I thought they had done away with it!! I also had read one time about using a photo frame and having the "gang" sign the outside of it as well...

Just got back from Estes with Mike's whhhhoooolllleee family. It was fun but when you have 14 people it takes 30 minutes to decide to walk five feet and then you have to rediscuss! It was just like you remember Trisha....WET! Something about me and Estes....it rains everytime we go there! But I love the town. It is probably one of my favorite places on earth.

Speaking of which, being trapped with mil, bil and whole family under a small rv tarp, poring down rain, 7 kids with a perfectly good bottle of wine and no wine opener....let's just say you can get the cork out without the opener, it just takes some work. I was ready to bust it open on a rock and drink from the sharp glass neck!

Thank you very much for saying Happy Birthday to Alison. She got the biggest kick out of it. I hope everyone is getting their last minute things done so we can go on vacation. We are going down to my sister's house to have cake for Alison and to get more toys for her to play with, I can't wait! We went to Target today for a swimsuit for my mom, sold out! I knew this was going to happen, she is such a last minute person.
Did anyone notice if there is any Palo openings again? We really don't want Sat. at 6:30 at night so do you think we should cancel them and just wait to get on the cruise to se if there is anything available? Someone said that you will have to pay the fee if you don't cancel before we board the ship and decide not to go when your reservation time is at, is that true?

Lorra, I have heard that you need to cancel Palo's two days in advance or they will charge it to your key to the world card. I have also heard that they will have more reservations available once you board. They hold back some for the people that don't have internet access I think we are going to change ours also.

Hello all,

Well, the Indians lost last night. We got to the game late (there was a Browns game at home in CLeveland also, so two pro teams hosted big crowds and we got stuck in traffic). We had a 1.45 minute rain delay, but the seats were good.

Jen, glad you had a good time at Estes.

We watched "Raising Helen", "Spanglish", and "Coach Carter" this weekend. Gotta love Netflix. Highly recommend them all, especially the first and the last. Coach Carter has some pretty sexual scenes, but it was good and a true story.

I just got word that some of the links don't work. I don't know why they work sometimes and not other times. I am going through right now and fixing them all, but it seems that something happens and they won't always work....so there are separate hyperlinks behind the words, also (itinerary, ports of call, etc) You can try those if you are having problems with the pics. Let me know of any problems you encounter and I will fix them.

Here I am again! Do you believe that I lost power for 12 hours again last night. My sister lives right down the road from me and we were at her house and right in the middle of the party the power goes out, it was storming bad. I was thinking, oh no, I don't have power at my house again and sure enough I didn't when I giot home. It took until this morning to have it on again. Boy, if they call me that my payment is late I'm going to let them have it. It takes them so long to get power back on any more. Anyway, it was probably my son's will to have the power go out, my sister cuts his hair and he doesn't want one so right before she started using the buzzer on his hair, boom, the power goes off. No haircut again, it is so long! It is not easy having a 13 year old get his haircut when he doesn't want one. Well, my nephews are here, got to go.

My brother Robert from LA was in visiting this week. We normally only get to see him once a year but now we get to see him twice in a month. Since I decided to rent a tux, my wife Alison said she needed to upgrade her wardrobe so off we went to Dillard's 75% off sale. She purchased a lovely black satin gown. We then returned home and checked our reservations and we have been moved from second seating to first seating. Hooray, we are creatures of habit and we liked first seating from our other trips.

Lorra, Bummer! I can't imagine. Somehow I have avoided losing electricity. Other than blipping off and on again, I have never lost it. Isn't that weird. I am totally jinxing myself now. I think I would go crazy..."If I can't get on the comp, I'll watch TV, Nope, I'll do laundry, Nope, I'll go out, Nope, can't get the garage open, I'll.....I feel for you!
John, How exciting for you. So many fun things at once! When did you book the cruise (as far as early seating goes)? When did Dillards go 75%? Last weekend here they were still 25-50% . I wonder if it is an individual decision.
Missy, Does he always wear a dress of just for special occasions....Does he wear hose with it?...No wonder you won't send a picture....you are bringing your skeleton (in the closet) with you!
Tammy, Did you like me comment about Brooks blonde hair(on the website). For everyone else, Tammy called me desperately begging for Brooks' pic with really blonde hair to be removed from the pic site fearing for her life. Reluctantly I did it but had it blown up for a poster sized door sign before I deleted it!

Finally, I ironed on the design onto a shirt (because I wanted to have control on how the shirt fit me) and it worked great. As good if not better than the shop. So if anyone wants me to send you the inverted design I will.
