Sept 17 2005 Magic - am i alone on the ship?

Tammy, here is the dinner schedule. Remember could change.

Saturday-rotational, casual
Sunday- rotational, formal
Monday- rotational, casual
Tuesday- Pirate Night
Wednesday- It's a Small World, casual
Thursday- Captain's Gala, semi formal
Friday- Till We Meet Again, casual

I think that is it, I could be wrong though.

Emily

Thanks Missy!

Thanks Emily! I hate it when they say things could change :teeth: how are we suppose to plan :confused3

I have to make Palo plans...we paid off the cruise today :bounce: DH told me to tell the gang this weekend to each bring a dish so he wouldn't have to fork over any more $$$. He's so.... pirate: anywhoo..

Thanks Again!!

Hi all-- happy 4th. Jenny, thanks for filling us in. I know it's a long haul on the schooling and experience, but knowing where you want to be is the biggest part of the battle! Good for you. We can tawk more on the cruise...where I'm certain you will identify just how kooky I really am. :flower:

I need to call my TA too abt a dining rotation. Thanks for reminding me.

Hello all!
I think pirate night is Tuesday night...That is the night after St Maartin (Lord Sheffield), anyway. Speaking of....yeah :Pinkbounc Missy. I am going to write them and confirm Ewings (Missy)- 4 adults and 5 kids
Watson (Wendy) - 2 adults and 1 kid
Crouch (Jen) - 2 adults and 2 kids
May (Trisha) - 2 adults and 2 kids
Anyone else? Better to be safe than sorry and we made our res a long time ago. Should be a lot of fun!
Going to pack and clean today...yuck! I will check in later.
Jenny, Glad to hear your pup is doing better. Thanks for sharing what you do...interesting stuff. Does that mean you will be pshycoanalyzing us the whole time? :teeth: You should stay busy with this bunch :rotfl2: I graduated college in Psychology, too, just never went any further (I double with a MRS degree...hahaha, stayed home and had kiddos) I never was interested in the career track.....I am just an amatuer (immature :rotfl: ) analyzer. But still put it to good use against...errrr I mean on my kids!

Ok, trying to figure out what night is what and where and what night to book Palo is too confusing. (Am I the only one who feels that way :confused3 !?) It wouldn't surprise me if it is just me. I tend to over process things making them more complicated in my mind than they really are. Jenny, I am sure you could have a hayday with me.
Anyway, I gained a pound so I wasn't real enthusiastic to post that yesterday. Congrats to Christal for losing. (Taken out of context, that doesn't sound right.) I got my stuff from Disney Direct yesterday and it all looks great. Can't wait to wear it on the cruise.
Wendy- Are you talking about what dinning room you wll be in on what night? I didn't know you could find that out ahead of time.
Happy 4th of July weekend all.

Here is one extra and the choices again....and again...and again. Do you still like the last one? Remember the words and colors of them can change (and obviously, the ones without words would have words, etc).

Thanks for helping again, and again, and again.....

love the second one.........said I wouldn't be in on t-shirts, but you are doing such a great job Jen!!

One more analyzer here......my degree is in Family Relations and Human Development (a.k.a. a mix of psychology, sociology, education, and MRS.). I did not work anything full time for 12 years when I had my kids, and now I work at the local high school. It is not really a "big girl" job, but it is what I want to do while my focus is on my family. Besides that I love it, love it, love it.

Getting ready to go to the big fireworks tonight with my sister and her family (aka Maryoh8). I told her this morning about Lord Sheffields and they are excited. We had only briefly discussed it, but I went ahead and booked........good thing we are so much alike!

getoutthere.......call your TA and ask them what they would reccomend as far as booking Palo. Because of the makeup of our sailing party our TA told us to book Palo on Wednesday night.

talk to you soon,

Missy

I agree with Wendy, it's so tropical looking  even if you put it on a regular T, it will look good. But then you know the second was our favorite 40 or so posts ago...it's hard to decide... :earboy2: I guess we'll just have to take a vote unless we're going with a mix of both?? :goodvibes

Jen you continue to excel! i love the colours on the newest one it is bright and cheerful, much like this group. :grouphug:

Jenny your study/work sounds really interesting and really worthwhile.

ok i think i have finally decided when to book palo but now i have to wait to do it :sad2:

i know you are all about to start on one of the best weekends of your year, but i'm glad ours is over.
i suppose that deserves some explanation.
over here the weekend is thursday/friday and i can tell you that takes some getting used to. friday is the holy day for muslims thus the change of days.
it also means the broardcast prayers are louder and longer (first one is 4:30a.m.)
and it is so hot at the moment you can't go outside all day. the inside places are all really crowded and crazy since there is no alternative. :crowded:
most of our friends are away for the summer - our two nearest neighbours are canadian and are hopefully having a teriffic canada day - so there is no one for Nick to play with.
there are no play groups over the weekend.
and dh is on a long trip wed - sun, in fact he had lunch with my mum and db in melbourne today.
so all in all it has been a long exhausting wekend!

still could be worse and there is afterall only 78 or so days to go until we live the magic! :cheer2:

oh by the way sorry for typing and lack of capitals today dd woke and is now sleeping on my lap so i only have one hand.
must go and put the little angel back to bed

night night and sweet dreams :cloud9:

Well, I just emailed Lord Sheffield's about the Pirate cruise... we'll see if there is still room for us! We still haven't decided on an excursion for St. John. I'm hoping my 13yo will want to do the Wild Side excursion on CC. The rest of us will probably just hang out. We should have better weather than our last cruise, which was in December; it was very windy and cold.... we couldn't bear to be in the water that day!

Okay.....I set up a shop with the first image.....

Didn't cost anything and we absolutely are not committed to either the image or the shop idea. We can still do the original flip flop design and iron on. My only problem with that is that I think it will end up being a big hassle. I think I will be printing them off and sending them and then there will be a lot of screw ups ironing them on (based on the luck I have been having with the ironons).

Here is the shop....take a look and see what you think.

Karen, Good news about Lord Sheffield. You may want to mention that you are with the group of consisting of 20 of us, in case he is full...we'll make room. With you (and those of us booked) we should fill the ship. Like having our own charter.

Wow Jen when you said shop..you meant shop!!! I think it's neat how you did that and if you fear there will be complications :earseek: then trust me it startwith me. I'm the world's worst if it's got any level of difficulty involved in making it look good. Plus it gives everyone an option of what they like. You did a great job... :earsboy:

Thanks Tammy. I know there is a lot to choose from but it seemed silly to take stuff out. May as well have a choice. I can also manipulate the size the the image if people want them smaller, etc. I hope there are no complications. I can't imagine Disney coming after me for so little. These are the base prices, I (hopefully obviously) did not mark them up at all. I did take out the yellow and the green shirts. They didn't look good at all with the logo on them.....I know DIS is green so I can always put them back in but I don't think anyone will like them.

Well I just love the concept of the whole thing :goodvibes And I can kind of see where the green would be a little alien :rotfl: Everyone will love it!! :goodvibes

I'm just about ready to order!! :rotfl: This is to much fun!

Hey did you all see the post about the scavenger hunt on DCL's website? Grand prize is a 7 night cruise and 100 runner's up get a DCL gift basket. Just go to the website and the link to start the hunt is on the left hand side of the page under the cruise search I think. It's real simple just click on each hint and it will take you to the right page you need to be on and the tokens you collect are always on the right hand side of the page. Good luck finding the five tokens. Also, you can only enter once. Contest ends in August. And for us, if we win anything, we'll be notified by email and we'll be on the cruise so we can tell each other if we won.

Emily

Tammy, Don't order yet if you haven't. I just realized I spelled St maarten wrong. I need to fix it. They are 100% money back so if you have and you care you can send them back but hopefully I caught you in time.

I fixed the spelling (sorry) on everything but the posters...can't deal right now (it takes a different picture). You should let me order something first to make sure the quality is okay (although there is a guarantee).

I am SOOO far behind! Forgive me if I post 3 or 4 times just to catch up! Jenny, I am very sorry about your dog - sounds like he came through like a real trooper!

I love your chosen profession. Counseling young people with all of the problems you've listed is awe-inspiring! DD was on a medicine once that turned her into a major-ADHD kid. I suddenly understood how parents could let their children run wild. They literally bounce from walls. I couldn't even complete a sentence before she would bounce out of the room and into something bad. We didn't ever, ever need child locks on anything until she started the medicine. Within one day I was at the local hardware store buying something to lock up everything under 6' tall. Good luck to you!

I hope Grandma's Bday party goes really well. I'm sure your singing will be absolutely beautiful (and you have DSis to help!). Let us know how the weekend goes. What a surprise!

Whew! Okay, now I've caught up on Jenny - on to Jen...

LOVE the new designs - they are awesome! I haven't yet caught up on posts, so I don't know if you've decided to go ahead and use the website, but I say GO FOR IT! I don't think there should be any problem with copyright - you are SOOOO talented. Speaking of which, what do you think of sunny Ft. Lauderdale? I have a room that needs a mural!

And on to why I'm not around much during the week....
My boss returned from "vacation" on Wednesday and now I'm way too busy - we've just moved up one on the food chain due to restructuring, so I'm doing all sorts of new tasks. Here's my travel schedule: On the 11th, travel to Ft. Worth, return on the 13th, travel to Nashville on the 14th, return on the 17th, travel to Memphis on the 18th, return to home on the 21st. Collapse due to lack of air from flying too much! Oh well, at least the frequent flier miles will rack up. Anyone on the list in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Memphis or Nashville areas?

Ah well, Dora is over so back to being "Mommy". Ciao!

Sweet Sue (who is very jealous because two co-workers are BOTH in Italy...one for FIVE WEEKS OF VACATION - and I *only* get a Disney Cruise...)
