It's good to see that we have a topic (for now anyway) that is keeping this board alive. Royal Caribbean (Sovereign of the Seas) pool area really had me depressed, although there were plenty of lounge chairs on the pool deck there were no table and chairs to sit and eat and people watch or just eat and enjoy the view of the water. By the way Carnival has a smoke free ship (Paradise), you cannot even take a lighter or matches onboard. I am told if you are caught smoking you will be removed from ship at next port ( that's better than being put in a life boat in the middle of the sea) and most get home at your ouw expense. Other than the cruise cost itself cruises make money from drinks and pictures. Maybe in 2008 we should all have a reunion on a ship that none of us have ever sailed before. Celebrity is one i've heard of (anyone cruise that before?) and I know there are others. Well it's 10:10 pm let me go get my frozen yogurt before I fall asleep. I'm having my sidewalk and driveway paved so on my next cruise I may have an ore( I know ore is a mineral, is that also the one you use to row a boat, or in my case a ship) in my hand. Darn I type to much. Jen I like the story about the butt lady. Maybe I love Carnival because it was my first,,,lol. Ok,, enough said, nite all . Hope all are fine.

We cruised on the Paradise when it was smoke free...I think now it is out of California and is not smoke free.

Jen, I like your new site.

Again, life is busy with school and work and looking for jobs.

We are now considering, instead of going to WDW for our first DVC trip, going to DL over Memorial Day. If we end up in California, Karen (4kids...) should expect a knock on the door! Granted, she doesn't live in Anaheim, but appropriate concessions should be made because who can resist the lovable donaldsgal?

Can't participate in the cruise discussion as I've never been on anything else. I think this cruise proved to me that I love cruising, but I'm more a "the Parks" kind of gal. We had a great time, and I don't know if I'd ever cruise anything other than DCL. I hold no ill regard for those who jump ship to the competition.

See, even though I rarely post these days, I have not lost my biting wit.

Sue, We are thinking about you. I hope Wilma stays away from you but it doesn't look like it is going to. Maybe it will slow wayyyy down. Hope you are having fun in Orlando. Is this likely to affect you Tammy or Karen D?
Had a nice weekend. We went to a murder mystery dinner at a "Haunted" bed and breakfast in Colorado Springs. I didn't see any ghosts, though It was fun....something different. Today we did the whole pumpkin patch thing with Mike's family. That's always nice (the pumpkins not the family )Just kidding.
I still have pics to post on the website. Sorry it is taking so long. I'll let you know when they are up.

Hey Jen, can't wait to see your pics. We had some wind and rain from Wilma but nothing compared to what she offerred our friends south and southest of us. My sister lives just north of West Palm and they got it back. I am sure Sue felt her too. It has really cooled down in Fl. BURR.

Still have my power, duh I am posting. I am sure Sue with without. My sister and about 3mil. others lost their power during the night and day hours.

I look forward to seeing your pics. Life is still crazy here near Tampa. We have a new puppy. Got her the weekend we got back from cruising. Didn't have a suitcase opened but had a new puppy to train and a new crate to put her in. We are all gelling just fine now. she is a doll and so much fun.

Hope everyone is doing well. NO Dis Cruises for us anytime in the near future (5 years). Too expensive now. I think we are going to try RCCL out of Tampa. Not sure what ship it is but I hear they are all great. Hope so.

Jen, The web site is looking better everytime. I will have to assume that you have copied all of your pictures to a disk and sent them to us already, they must be in the mail.

Mary is talking about another trip, well Trisha and I are supposed to be going to Palm Beach Shores Florida on November 11, if there is anything left there to go to. Should be a nice relaxing long weekend (without the kids)

Karen, any information from your sister about the situation in the Palm Beach area would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully things will be put back together quickly and not effect our trip.

Just read reports on Cozumel. It is hard to believe we were just there. There is a lot of information and links to pictures on cruise critic. I guess they are saying the Chankanaub is gone. They have reports on the other beach clubs. Still trying to find out how Chen Rio fared.

Just talking to myself........

I heard from Sue. She said cell phone service is spotty there at best. They have no power, no potable water (they have water, you just can't drink it) and worst of all, no gasoline. She can't drive anywhere, she has to walk. I'm not sure if they have gas for the generators. She may just be conserving what she has. She said it was like living in a war zone. She lost part of her roof, down to the particle board. Her shed is gone, grill tumbled, etc. All windows are intact. That is all I have. I was gone when she called. I got this off the answering machine. I knew you all would want to know.

Sherrie, how are you? Is the thing you were dealing with last year gone or at least abated? hope all is well.

I finished days 3,4, and 5 on my cruise journal/review if anyone is interested (especially those of you who spent time with me on the cruise). On to day 6 (which I don't remember at all....great!)

Hello...those of you who are still posting. We have been pretty busy...but what's new! I really hope things get back to normal for Sue. Glad to hear that someone actually heard from her.

We have been busy with Halloween Parties. I think we had more Halloween parties this year that ever in the past. We went to one a week ago Saturday, then we had one Friday night. We had a great turn out...about 22 people showed up and only one without a costume! Then Saturday we went to Boo at the Zoo with the kids, then to another party Saturday night! Yesterday we went to Cleveland to visit Jim's parents...and went trick-or-treating twice! This morning we had a costume party at work and tonight is our trick-or-treating in our neighborhood! Oh ya...don't forget Ayden's Halloween party at pre-school!

On top of all the partying...I have not had a sitter in a week. Her daughter has shingles! Can you believe that...she is 9! So, obviously my kids are not going back until she is released from her doctor to go back to school. I stayed home most of last week with them and Jim is home with them today...but of course he has called about 10 times already this morning wanting me to come home to help...do all men think their job is more important??? men just crack me up sometimes...I told him that I could just quit my job and stay home all the time!

I hope everyone is doing well! We are leaving for Vegas a week from Thursday to celebrate my birthday!!!!!!!!! I can't wait...no kids from Thursday to Sunday! Poor mom...she has kept them overnight for the last three Friday's and then she will have them while we are in Vegas. I promised her that I would not ask her to watch them this weeken...I think she needed a break!

It's just me David, First i'll repeat myself and say hello to all. Next I would like to now if any of us would like to (And I volunteer Jen for this) maybe send $5, 10, $20 or whatever we can afford at this time to help Sue and her family out a little. I know none of us are rich but the few bucks sent which could possible really help Sue will probably go unmissed by all of us who were lucky enough to escape the foul weather. Well I volunteer my $20.00 and I will send a check to Jen if she agrees with the idea. I'm not asking that we try to save the world. But from my reading of the board it seems that Sue was the only one hit, or at the very least hit the hardest. I'm looking forward to some replys. "Oh" if everyone agrees I just need Sue's Last name so I can make the check out to her. Take care all! Gotta run,, well walk,, pulled muscle on job and been out of work 20 days as of today.

Jen if you are willing to give us your address I think it will be better if we all sent the money to you and you mail it all at once. I didn't meet anyone on the cruise that I don't trust, but it's just seems that you have a little more information about Sue than we do. So I am filling out my check now. As I said earlier, not that I don't trust anyone but it may be easier on Jen if we send cash folded in paper, that will keep Jen from having to make several trips to the bank, and she wont have to try to hold my check down while its bouncing (lol). I vote Jen, now if everyone else does than lets get this thing rolling. It would be nice if our pennies helped Sue and her family in general, but it may also make for a better Thanksgiving for them as well. OK FFC'ers lets help our friend!

It might be just as easy to send a check made out to Sue. I'm sure she can cash them with no problem and I can just forward them on in an envelope. If you want to make it out to me or send cash, I don't mind going to the bank, sending cash just makes me nervous. We have to make sure the mail service is working also. I know it still isn't in some parts of Mississippi but I'm sure it will be up and running a lot quicker where Sue lives.

My kids both decided they want their rooms redone for Christmas...which means they both want new murals......OKAY..time to get busy! I just gutted my daughter's room today and bought the paint. Her will be easy, just Princesses but Trenton's is a football stadium complete with teams playing and spectators in the stands. That should be fun.
