Mommasita - hi! I posted on the live thread instead of this one. We arrived safe and sound this morning. Even with the itinerary changes it was a great time! The only rough seas were during the return. The captain cruised at a swift 26 knots so we would hit the rough water very early a.m. on Friday while we were sleeping. Around 3am the sliding doors started banging and opening all on their own! We had to stuff them closed with towels. By the time we got up at 7 it was relatively calm again. Now if I could just get a bit of REST in before returning to work...

Sorry we did not get to spend much time with our Disboard Family but we met the most famous three members so I feel special. We had a great time given the circumstances of changed itineraries for our compulsive planning group. Staying at the Hyatt the night before was great and we arrived at the port at 10:30. We asked for upgrade options and for a small fee $ 258 we upgraded from our category 10 inside staterooms on Deck 2 to category 8
outside rooms with large porthole window on Deck 5. The great thing was all three category 8 rooms were together for our party of (9). We did no excursions on our trip but had a great Cabana massage on Sunday and Palo's dinner on Thursday night. Weather was great considering we were dodging hurricanes. We arrived home safely at 3 pm and already have finished our laundry. Will write more later -- best to all

:goodvibes We are all home safely and we had an EXCELLENT trip!

You guys were all a lot of fun and hope everyone had the great experience this last week that I did.

Thanks for all the fun these last several months.

Missy (and Frank and Lola)

Back to reality! 2 Loads of laundry complete...

Great trip...Missy, how is the photo of you and I and the Captain?pirate:

Mary

John -- totally jealous that you are finished with laundry! I'm still sorting. Well, taking a break.

So, where do I post the trip report -- here or on the LIVE thread?

Missy, Mary, SweetSue et al, glad you are also home safe and sound. Ditto on your thoughts Missy -- this group has made the last 9 months soooo fun. And it was great to put faces to names to personalities. Sorry we didn't all get more time together. I forgot how hectic a cruise is.

I am pooped. Back to the chores...

Fondly, W.

Home safe & sound!! I just wish the house would quit rocking!! Hoping to cruise again next year around Labor Day!!

I'll go check out the LIVE post!

Glad everyone made it home....

Poor Karen 4kidsandadog almost got stranded in the Orlando Air Port until Tuesday, I'm going to track her down & see how their return flight was. They were supposed to go through Houston and all fights were cancelled.

Hugs to all!! :grouphug:

Hi y'all....

We did make it home last night. Thankfully our trip insurance will cover the cost of purchasing new tickets to get home. We managed to get seats on JetBlue, costing more 1-way than our original roundtrip tickets. The DirectTV was nice... made up for the 6hour flight from JFK to San Jose!!

I'll be heading to the base hospital in a bit to get my foot x-rayed and will let you all know what we find out. Dh is off picking up the dog from the kennel.

I feel like I need another vacation.... but it will be a while. Our server told us he believes that by 2007, Disney will be doing a transAtlantic cruise. Dh says we will sign up for that one for sure.

Karen

Good to know you got home ok Karen!!! Keep me updated on the foot! Hope all is well!

Susan

Yet another myth debunked (for those who believed it, any way).... You can walk on a broken foot. I've got a boot for now and go back to see my FP doc (who just happened to be on call today) on Friday. I broke the metatarsal bone when I fell off that blasted sidewalk on Grand Cayman. (That's the long bone on the outside/bottom of your foot.)

Hi everyone!!

Been home since yesterday. Haven't even begun to fully unpack yet.

I'm glad I got to meet everyone. I know there were some of you I didn't though. I hope I get the chance to cruise with you again someday.

Night everyone,
Emily

Hope you're feeling better soon Karen!! Keep that foot up! Maybe the next time will be better for you!

Take care!!!

Susan

Hi Everyone!

We returned yesterday afternoon, too. We had a 2 p.m. flight and had several hours to spend at the Orlando airport until we left. We enjoyed all the airport shops and bought much more useless junk. Isn't it a bummer that you actually have to pay when you eat out?! :confused3 We had an interesting time explaining that to our DS5.

I really enjoyed meeting everyone, although there were several I missed somehow. Wendy, we couldn't have asked for better tablemates. You have the cutest DD and my DS is just crazy about her. pirate:

Karen- So sorry to hear about your leg, hope you are feeling better soon! I was so sorry to have to miss the cabin tour, I heard your stateroom was the highlight.

Tomorrow it is back to the grindstone, it went by way, way too fast!

Take care,
Pam

Can you all believe it's over? I cannot believe how fast the week went. It was a pleasure to meet the DISers that DH and I met. Wish we could have met all of you! I did not get to meet the infamous Missy. We did however, ask about her silver Captain friend at a liquer store right off the pier in Cozumel. She must have beat us there though, because they didn't have any.

Is anyone cruising 9/16/06? We booked that one a year ago and booked another onboard this time so we will be able to switch when the 2007 dates are released.

Have a good week!
Donna

Donna.......seems as if they have a clear version of Captain Morgan in those duty free shops but don't call it Captain Silver? I would bet that is it. Look at your local store and see, although his season is going to be over soon.

We have Sept. 16 booked as well.........waiting to book Jan 06 I believe when the dates become available.

UGH back to the grindstone.

Missy

Hi we got home yesterday. I am now back to my five kids, he called us 30 seconds after we walked in the door. I am unpacked and I have all of our wash done. Now I have two more days off before I go to work again! The kids are now back to school so now I want to relax for one hour before my two nephews show up to be watched today. I'm glad I got to meet everyone and I hope everyone arrives home safely.

Lorra

We got home Saturday evening. I had everything unpacked, put away and laundry started before I went to bed Saturday night! Finished laundry yesterday so I was able to relax and work on uploading pictures last night after the little guys went to bed. I have 300 pix...and our camera even died Friday morning! I was not happy about that! The camera is only about 3 months old! We took it back yesterday...Circuit City told us we would have to send it out to get fixed. I whined and complained until they handed me a brand new camera...same camera...but at least I have a camera that works! They also re-newed the warranty starting yesterday.

I am glad to hear everyone made it home safe! It was very ruff getting up for work this am! DS (3) has asked about 1000 times 'When are we going on another cruise!' He had so much fun in the Oceaneers Club! I think we are going to skip cruising next year and wait until after DS(1) is old enough to go to Oceaneers Club. Not sure what we will do next year! We do still have Vegas in november and I have Jamaica in January...

It was great meeting everyone!

Hi everybody,
Its all over and now back to the real world. I know this because nobody had made my bed when I came back from taking the kids to school this morning! We pulled into home around 9 o'clock Saturday night and I have been wiped out ever since. It was really hard getting up this morning.
Karen- Sorry to hear about your foot. I hope it heals quickly and you get the boot off soon.

It was great meeting everyone. Jen will be in Orlando until Wednesday. I think she is planning on putting some pics on the website when she gets back so keep checking to see if there are some of you one there. Steve is pretty busy at work this week so I am not sure when he will be able to download our pics. I can't wait to see them all.
Still have lots of laundry to fold and put away. Have a good week.

Hello! We also got home late Sat. night. I can't believe it is over!! We had a great time but it went by at warp speed! We got back too late to pick up the pets on Sat. so we had to wait until yesterday to get them back. Karen, I hope your foot is doing better. It was so much fun meeting everyone! I can't wait to plan another cruise. -Donna
