Sept 16 2012 - WONDERing who's on the Calif Coastal with me?!

Silly question, but are there uncrustables on-board? I thought I remember reading a long time ago, you could get them from room service? I not sure if I imagined this or not, lol.

I remember seeing this too so you're not imagining things! :lmao: However, I think I also remember reading that they had discontinued carrying them so it might be worth asking on the main boards to hear what some resent cruisers have found.

I just learned from another posting on this forum that they are offering a 25% discount on this cruise if you are a DISNEYLAND annual passholder. It is not posted on the DCL website but I did call my travel agent to confirm. Since I traferred one of my placeholder cruises to this cruise and the shipboard credit I have I am currently saving more than the 25%. You might want to call DCL or your travel agent to see if you can get some $$$ back.

Hello to fellow cruisers. I have just joined this cruise as of yesterday. Have you closed participation in the Fish Extender for this cruise yet? Will be sailing with Yensid1222 (my son)

Hi!

I just booked this cruise today. Took advantage of the AP holder discount since my daugther is dying to go on another Disney cruise again. We went last year to MR for her birthday and now she can't stop talking about it. I would love to join the FE exchange as well. I'll PM the organizer.

Any 3-4 year olds cruising? I would love to organize a meet up at the beginning of the cruise so our kids can make friends before heading to the kids club. I think it would be fun for them to already know someone when they get dropped off.

So excited!

How does this work? We are annual passholder and I would love to have a 25% discount. But, I think we booked this under some Southern California resident deal. I am going to have to check this out tonight.

I would be interested in hearing more about this too...I wonder if it's only for Premium passholders or if the lower options can get this too?

We just booked this cruise on our July 2nd Alaska cruise:)
We are so looking forward to the CA Coast!
My 10 year old DS LOVES the Golden Gate Bridge and can't wait to see it.
This will be our 8th DCL!!!
I just sent request for the FB page so we can do the FE!
Does anyone know if we are doing a separate magnet exchange?

Look forward to meeting you all!

Why are people not getting off the boat in Mexico??

If anyone has any questions that I can help with..while not as experienced as some of the others on this thread I would be happy to chime in if needed:lovestruc

I just added you to the fb group but you don't need to be in it to do the FE. I know there are more people doing FE than there are in the fb group. This is our 2nd DCL cruise. We did the Mexican Riviera one last December and loved it! We got off in Puerto Vallarta and Cabo with our 12 month old and felt 100% safe. Of course, in PV, we just went on an amazing DCL excursion to a beautiful resort on the beach and spent the day there. In Cabo we explored on our own but there were tons of tourists from Disney and other cruise lines there too.

I know some people have said they're not getting off in Ensenada b/c they're afraid of safety issues in Mexico. I don't really want to get off there b/c I enjoy sea days and none of the excursions there appealed to me and Ensenada itself isn't a very exciting port to a lot of people so I plan on enjoying an extra day on the ship. I hope a lot of people get off that day- it will be less crowded by the pool for me :)

The 25% AP holder discount is available to anyone who has an AP of any level. You just need to ask for the discount when you get a quote. Have your TA call for you to get the pricing. The discount is really only good for inside category since the OGT and VGT rates are better for the higher categories.

Do you know if we can still get the discount if we already booked and have paid for the cruise in full? I just emailed our TA and she's out of town till Monday and she'll check on it then.

I also emailed my TA to ask..I'm paid in full and like the stateroom I have assigned. Is there a way to still get the refund...or have it applied to OBC?
I have the Deluxe AP...is this level allowed to get the discount?

Does this work if you already have a reservation? Will they credit you the difference?

Well, I just called Disney and guess what? I am going to be credited with $536.76!!! We loss our $50.00 onboard credit, but you know what? I'm GOOD with that!!!

We heard back from our TA today and we got back $904 for our room with our season pass!! BEYOND excited!!! Thank you so much for the heads up!!

I was able to do this..saved me $849 and I still have the super mid ship verandah room I got over a year ago when I first booked. Very exicted :)

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to reply sooner but I see you already beat me to it. :) Yes, if you didn't book a restricted rate then you should be able to get a credit on the price difference. Just make sure you bring your still valid AP to show at port check in. It's a great savings!
