Welcome nrk & ASROBERTS! We were debating on the Dune Buggy tour in Cozumel also. I have started to do some research on it and it sounds like alot of fun! I do have a question I am reading that some cruisers are putting the paint chips on their doors - Are you putting your names on them? I am just worried about people know who is in the room.. Just nervous I guess

OK, I think this covers it all. I took the information from the posts so please let me know if there is any changes to be made. Also, I have put together a more detailed list that I can email (it is in Excel) if anyone would like.

Also note, a few here have volunteered to bring Alien Green Mickey Ears (paint chips) from Home Depot. We are using these to recognize us as DIS board members. If you cannot find them at your Home Depot, contact one of the people offering to get extras.


DIS BOARD MEETING: We're meeting on Saturday at 3pm at the Mickey Pool so we can put faces to the names!

Lisa SB...I just wanted to answer your question on the "names' on the cabin doors...from our view.... We are planning on making a door sign..With just our last name. Then maybe use the green mickey head...to put our board name on the door....Just so it will be reconized by a fellow dis person. I don't think we will be posting all of our first names on the outside of the door though.

Maybe others will put in on what they are planning on doing.

If I ever find time I'm going to atempt on making buttons for our family with the mickey heads...for the dis meet.

But I do have a question on the meet at 3:00...and using the mickey heads...for name tags....do we put our name name or our dis name??? or both...and what about the rest of our family...the ones who arn't on the boards?? Do we put our dis name and their name name or just their real name??? OHHHH I'm getting confussed.

scrapperjill...buttons are a great idea.

I was thinking of laminating them and wearing them on lanyards.

Also, what I am planning to do with the name tags is put the respective person's name on it and (amgpmg) below it somewhere. That way, everyone will know who they belong with....or will that be confusing because then people won't know who has been actually posting all this time?.... You have me thinking now...hmm...maybe I'll do something like.....Jim (DH of amgpmg), etc.......not sure how that will work.

Anyone else have ideas?

I am not sure if I will put one on our door. The kids will not be running around without us because they are too young.

Welcome ASROBERTS! I also have a DS12 that is going. Let me know if your DS10 or 12 wants to email him ahead of time.

I'm one of the people who has extra chips. Let me know if anyone wants me to mail them some. I was going to make nametags out of ours with our first name at least on it and 4Sedgs underneath. I hadn't thought about laminating them, but I think I will.

I was going to put a chip on our door with 4Sedgs on it so that other disboard people will know where we are and my DS7 could find the room easily. After reading scrapperjill's idea about a door sign, I may do that and incorporate our chip in it.

My first thought on the green mickeys...was to do like...amgpmg stated...with Name...then scrapperjill undrerneith...but I also wasn't sure if it would be confusing as to who is scrapperjill and who is Jesse (DH)...But then again..having Scrapperjill..I really don't think many would confuse DH for the scrapperjill. So...I think I will put Scrapperjill somewhere on their nametags...so everyone knows whos with who...but put their names bigger and bolder in the middle. Maybe I'll work on it later and post and idea or two.

I want so badly to start to pack. I already have a huge pile in my closet set aside.

Glad to have you on board. My son will be thrilled to know there is another 10 year old boy on board. His sister is traveling with her best friend and he was getting a little worried. On our last cruise he e-mailed a boy from the Dis board so he felt like he had a friend already on board. If your son would like to e-mail mine he would love it. Our e-mail is kscruzrs@yahoo.com He is at camp now but will be back July 30.

I have some paint chips from Home Depot but they are the wrong color. They are lime green but not the alien green, I went ahead and picked them up but I'm still watching for the right ones.

The alien green looks close enough to lime green that I'm sure we'll know you're a dis board person. Don't stress use your lime green or I'll be happy to mail some out!

We are going to have a BABY!!!! I just took the "test" this morning!!! So I guess there will be three people in our state-room..... Don't tell Mickey!!! I don't need this trip to cost anymore.

You had asked if there were any other divers....my husband will be diving in Grand Cayman & Cozumel. We booked the dives through Disney. He is in the process of getting certified now, so they will be his first "real" dives.

We have a daughter who will be 7 next week and will be happy to know there will be another girl around her age onboard!
