I couldn't get on yesterday most of the day. I kept getting the "can't find server message". This morning I got to the boards, sort of, the screen said the message boards would be down for 90 minutes for maintainance. I don't know how long they were actually unaccessible. Checking these boards has become part of the routine around here. Glad they are up and going now!

There was a post on the main cruise board about why they were down most of the evening yesterday. I too am glad they are up and running again. Scrapperjill - I am on my way to being Queen too! :worship: princess: My DH just shakes his head when I go to the LSS.

Welcome nrk!

Our party includes myself, DH and our daughter Kambria. Kambria will be almost 4 on the cruise (her birthday is in October). She is looking forward to making new friends on Mickey's Boat and has been excited to learn about the other kids from this thread that are going. So far, the other kids have all been just a little older. Kambria will be thrilled to find out there will be another 3 y/o girl that she'll "know" before sailing. What's your daughter's name?

Erin

Welcome NRK!

I found plenty of Alien Green Paint Chips at our Home Depot if anyone needs them! I thought we were going to use them for name tags at the 3 pm meet and I would put one on our door for our kids to find our cabin easily.

Erin-
What day does your daughter turn 4 in Oct.?
My nephew Will is on the ship also and he will be 4 on Oct. 13th!

What date is the formal night for our cruise? I was told by my TA the second night which I interpret as Sunday, Sep 12th which is the night we are in Key West. I would think they would wait until we are at sea.

Does anyone know?

Thanks,
Marti

Thank you! I thought it would be one of the nights at sea. I bought my DS7 his first suit this week for formal night. It's absolutely going to kill him to wear it. He's started complaining already. DS12 is kind of excited. He likes playing grown up!

Marti

My DD13 princess: has her dresses for formal and semi-formal nights and can hardly wait to wear them!:hyper:

Lisa,

Kambria will be 4 on October 30th. I think it will be so great for Kambria to have at least a couple of kids that we can talk about before we go that will be in the same age group in the Kids' Club with her. She is pretty good about us leaving her at school or to play at a friend's house and she does love the characters and such, but one never knows how the whole club thing might work out or not. As much as wanting to enjoy some adult time, we don't want her to miss out on the fun stuff at the clubs. I've read on the boards that we could accompany her to activities if she freaks when we leave, but we are hopeful she'll be happy to stay and play without us.

Erin-
Tell Kambria she has the BEST birthday in the whole world!:cake:
because Oct. 30th is also MY birthday!!!::yes::
I'll be MUCH older than her however!!!:guilty:

Not sure how much time Will is going to spend in the club either but he'll have fun no matter what he's doing!

Hi!
I'm new to DisBoards and I'm hooked. We'll be on the 9/11 cruise,7 of us in 2 Cat. 9 outside suites. First 7 night cruise, can't wait. 4 adults, 3 children.
We've booked a dune buggy tour in Cozumel and will do the Island Tour and stringray snorkel in GC. Guys are scuba diving in GC and maybe KW. Any other Divers?
How did you all get all the info about the theme nights, formal nights, etc.? I didn't know any of this until I found this forum. Great info.
See you soon.

Welcome ASROBERTS

:wave2:

We have 5 adults and 2 kids ages 3 1/2 and 13!
What are the ages of your kids?

To all the new folks....Welcome to the cruise meet board :D It's good to see more people joining in. There is sooo much information to learn and lots of good tips that are shared.:teeth:

asroberts...how old are the 3 children that you'll be traveling with?

Both of my girls have their formal and semi formal dresses..and also can not wait to wear them. They just love to dress up....I do however need to make sure they have shoes that will work with their dresses...I'm thinking their dress shoes may be getting on the small size.

Our countdown chain is getting short!!!:p So what do you guy think....how soon is to soon to start packing???:teeth: :teeth:

We are going to be sooo busy in the next few weeks...our older daughter is going to camp this sunday for the week...then we have to take Sydney over to Children's for a follow-up apt att he end of the week....which will be a long one (She'll get the whole work up this time...labs, x-rays, c-scan...the works). Then we have to rush back get our older daughter from camp....rest a couple days...repack her....then back to camp she goes for another week...after that school will be starting...then off on the trip we go!!:teeth: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
