Sept. 11, 2011 It's never too early to Dream

Well thanks. I't my foot. I have the mickey on my right and minnie on my left. I had just gotten my Disney toes done too. :cutie:

I tried doing Disney toes myself so my little toes would look good in the sandles for our Disney Trip last year. Won't attempt it again myself. I wonder if they do that with the pedicure in the Sap onboard? Would be nice :thumbsup2

Well, how is everyone? Fine I hope.:thumbsup2 Haven't been on here for a few days. Been as busy as a one armed paper hanger at work.:confused3 But, I think things are going to slow down next week.

Did my usual yard work today. Was riding the ol' trusty lawn tractor and I noticed the clouds building coming in off the gulf. So I tried to hurry and finish before the rain came in................but nope...........couldn't do it. The rains came down hard..............and man o' man was that rain cold!!!!:scared1: I had to wait for it to let up and go back out to finish up. Again, I was finishing up when it started to rain again. So I stuck with it this time and got'er done!!!:cool1::cool1:

So what's new with ya'll? Judy, I'll bet you and your family are getting excited about your up coming Disney cruise this fall. Have you been able to book any of your excursions yet? You are taking the Western Caribbean cruise isn't it? We too were going on the Western Caribbean in mid-October this year but had to cancel. Our Disney cruising partner, our Granddaughter Emily, couldn't go with us.:confused: We didn't feel right going without her on a Disney cruise. So we changed our booking to this back2back cruise on the Dream. Keeping our fingers & toes crossed that she will be able to join us.:yay::woohoo: So DW and I decided to try the Oasis of the Seas this fall.

Well, I better go and do my excercising. I talk to ya'll again soon!!!:yay:

Well, now that the weekend is gone and done with, I decided to finish editing a video I started 5 1/2 months ago. Our Family's New Years Day! This was more of a practice run for the big Birthday one I have to put together but feel much more confident about it now that I know my program as video cutting and splitting and slowe and fast play capabilities! ENJOY!

Thanks for sharing your video. Looks pretty cold right now.

Ya, I wouldn't attempted it myself either. Leave it for the professionals. I bet if you asked them to paint your toes special and explained what you want they might help.

Yuck yard work. MY DH did yard work today and didn't put on his sunscreen. He is hurting bad now. He never listens.:rolleyes1

Oh ya meant to ask, did anyone go see TS3:3dglasses? I took my DGS and we loved it. It's my fav. of all three. He is addicted to TS so it was fun to see him see something new. The others are played every day once or twice.:upsidedow

It must be a guy thing pixidustmom. I never wear sunscreen either. DW is always telling me to either wear a shirt or sunscreen. I know, I know it would be better to do one or the other, but hey I'm a man, I can take it. This year, so far I haven't gotten sun burned too bad. Of course living here in sunny FL:cool2: I get to mow the yard year round, so I keep my tan all year long.

I want to wish all of the dads out there a very HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!! I hope you get everything you want!!! :cool1::thumbsup2:banana:

We are going to the movies on Tuesday night (Tuesdays are cheap price night here, and I have vouchers for free popcorn). I WAS going to take the boys to see Karate Kid, but after reading your post, Pixiedustmom, and I must admit, I was completely stumped as to what TS3 was, I asked my boys what movie that would be indicating. They both said TOY STORY 3, DUHHHHHHH. If I'd read the rest of your post before asking them, I would have clued in myself....:rotfl:
Anyway, I asked them what they would like to see on Tuesday, Karate Kid or TS3. Both again yelled TS3!!! (My boys are 6 and 12, so I was quite shocked that the 12yr old wants to see TS3 too). So I guess our Tuesday plans are made now!

David, your yard work never seems to end does it? Yesterday our washing machine kicked the bucket (well not really, but if a washing machine has a transmission, then it's having major transmission trouble). If I want it to do a load properly, I have to catch it right at each point that it is about to switch to the next step, ie: rinse cycle, then spin cycle. I have to lift the lid, so it stops, then shut the lid and then it will kick into that next step. If I dont' lift the lid, the next step never starts, even though the machine makes weird noises, like it's trying to. The agitator isn't working well either. And as a family of 6, and I'm a procrastinator when it comes to laundry, you can well imagine the Mountain of laundry now waiting for me, but can't really do it all because I have to Babysit the machine for each load.
So we went out yesterday and spent our day researching, looking at and then buying a new HE Front load Machine. CHA CHING$$$$$$$$$$$$
There's a good chunk of cash I wasn't going to be able to use for our cruise, but Low and behold, I was able to get the stores credit card with no interest, no payments for 12 months. YAHHHHH, this means I can pay it off when I'm back from our cruise, rather than this purchase eating some of our cruise cash now.
THEN, the fact that we have a new machine coming this Wednesday, I was highly motivated to finally clean out our laundry and furnace room. So the rest of my day was spent doing THAT. My back hurts today (wow, am I out of shape), but SO HAPPY, I can actually walk into the laundry room without bumping into something or on something, and can walk right back to the storage area, and cold room. The whole area looks HUGE when it's all clear and clean!
Today, I think I'm going to attempt the playroom down there! When you're on a roll, you gotta go with it! :)

OH YES, HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL YOU DADS!

I helped my kids make a nice breakfast in bed for DH. I haven't been home here on a fathers day morning in years as I've been working those weekends at what was my partime job. WOW, it does feel good to be here every weekend now, and especially TODAY! :)

I just checked online at DCL. Seems all Cat. 10's are sold out for both parts of this back to back cruise. Had me a little worried as I have two CAT 10's booked, but for the 3 night portion, only I am booked in that room. I was going to add DH and the kids next month. But I just emailed my TA to go ahead and charge my account now because I have a feeling the prices are going to go UP if they haven't started to already. I'm hoping the fact that 10's are not available, doesn't mean I can't add the rest of my family in. :confused3 I'm waiting to hear back from my TA since emailing her, but thinking now, I'll give her a call.

My TA called me before I could call her. ALL 10's are Sold out, and she CANNOT :scared1: add DH and the boys to that stateroom!!!! SO, we had to upgrade to a CAT 9 and are now all booked, Whew!!! Thats costing me some extra but only about $100.00 extra. Well there goes not having to pack up on our final night of the 4 night, But at least we are ALL booked on there now.:)

Another update on that stateroom matter. After thinking about it all afternoon and evening, I've just whipped an email off to my TA asking her downgrade my mom From a CAT 9A to a CAT 9B, and upgrading us for the 4night of our back to back to a 9B and put us in the same 9B for both cruises. This way we won't have to pack up, and I'll have mom close by rather than at opposite ends of the ship (as it was originally) and the difference in price from her downgrade and our upgrade, evens out, so it's not really costing me extra. I'll miss not being able to have virtual porthole BUT I'll just find someone who does have one, and willing to let me and the boys have a peek at it! :) I'm happy with this decision now, before I had a knot in my stomach when thinking about the time I'd be losing by having to pack up between cruises, and the headache that would be (because we all know GUYS DON'T PACK!, It's always the wives and the moms! Don't deny it, I know you Guys!) :)

Hi Ho ya'll. It's lunch time here in the ol' salt mines. Finally got the chain released from my ankle so I could take a break!!!:banana:

Judy sounds like to me you made a nice decision.:thumbsup2 That was one of the things I told our TA.............we want to keep the same stateroom for both cruises on the back2back. She told us no problem.............most want to keep the same stateroom for that very reason...............no packing!!!! I know, it would have been nice to have that virtual porthole...................those look neat!!! I would like to see what they look like too!!! Plus it will be nice to have your Mom close too!!!:thumbsup2 Hey..........I help DW pack!!! NOT!!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Nothing new to report on the home front here. Busy, busy, busy!!!! Oh I forgot, our DGD Emily was in a bicycle accident yesterday. She's got some road scratches on her nose, chin, both hands, both elbows, and both knees, and she chipped three teeth!!!! It sounds worse then it is except for the 3 chipped teeth. She just got out of braces about 8 months ago!!! Kids.........what are you to do!!! She's allot like her dad, he did a header over his handle bars when he was about her age.:confused3:eek: He broke off both front teeth and had to have crowns put in. :scared1:

Well, it's time for me to go back to work. Everyone have a nice day today. Talk to you again real soon.:yay:

GRADUATION CEREMONY today for my DS17!!!!! Taking him for his Grad Photos at the portrait studio afterwards (he missed the grad photo shoot last fall because we were on the Disney Wonder when the school did those).

AND LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR DS6!!!!

Yesterday we experienced a 5.0 earthquake here in Ottawa Canada, but if was felt in the Northern U.S. as well! It really was scary because we just don't get these here, at least not where you feel it! This one was apparently just 10 or so miles underground, which is why it was felt so strongly and so far away! The whole house shook, and the Rumbling noise, THAT was the scarriest, as I've NEVER heard anything like it! A Picture fell off the top of our piano, my DS17 came running up from the basement saying his walls were moving, DD was in the kitchen, frozen to the spot as she didn't know what was happening, and DH was in the shower (he jumped out pretty quick, lol).
When DS6 came home from school, he was surprised when I asked him if he felt the earthquake. He had no idea what I was talking about. He did say he heard "Thunder" very loudly. :) "It wasn't thunder my dear, that was the Earth Shaking!"
Yes, it was an exciting day!

The best thing of all though?????? My new WASHING MACHINE was Delivered! One of those HE front load things! Now I can catch up on the mountain of laundry our old machine just wasn't up to! And wow, is this machine EVERY QUIET! You can barely hear it! Unlike our old machine. Actually when the Earthquake first started, I thought for a second it was the washing machine downstairs, as I had tried to do a load of blankets earlier in the day. That machine, when spinning, makes such a huge racket, and would jump around on the floor, and actually would shake the whole house!
Took me a second to realize, "but that load has long since been over, so that rumbling and shaking is NOT the machine" at which point the rumbling and shaking got even louder and more intense!

Sounds like you had a pretty scary few seconds there Judy. Glad it wasn't any more then what it was. I heard it was around 5.0 or 5.5, is that what you were told? A fellow worker here where I work, his mother and father felt it too. I guess they live in northern New York. She called him just after it happened and said she too had a few things fall over. I've only been in one of those things...........scared the stuffing outa me!!!:scared1::scared1::eek: Don't want to do that again. Glad everyone is alright.

Got the new clothes washer huh? We had to buy both the washer and dryer about 8 months ago. Both went out at the same time. DW wanted a front loader too. She said it is saves on water. She loves hers.

Well, lunch is about over guys. Ya'll have a nice day. Judy enjoy your new clothes washer!!!:cool1::thumbsup2

So...............how is everyone this fine Friday?:thumbsup2 I'll bet ya'll are looking forward to the week-end................you are aren't you???:banana: I know I sure am!!!:cool1::cool1:

I have a question for all of you. Has anyone heard or read on here or the internet about Disney doing an Hawaiian Cruise? I thought I had read that some where, but for the life of me I can't seem to find anything about it now. Was I dreaming???:confused3  Maybe, I was asleep at the computer!:surfweb:

Well, getting ready to go to lunch. Gots to run an errand or two during the ol' lunch hour. Talk to everyone soon.

I remember some talks about this too. I think someone said it wouldn't happen for it's too much to the ports there? I can't remember what was said really. But I thought gosh I would love this, my two favs. Disney and Hawaii. :thumbsup2

Happy Rainy Saturday (here anyway) to all! DS6 has his birthday party today and here is the cake my friend made him and delivered last night. AWEWOME CAKE! I was SO pleased with what she was able to create. Tim wanted a Mickey Cake, but is having a Pirate Party, so this is what she came up with!

I hope all are having a great week-end!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for that link UGAFan0829. That wasn't the one I had read but it was interesting reading. The one I had read about Disney Cruising to Hawaii said that Disney had requested docking privilages in Hawaii. I don't remember the date it had requested. But, I remember back when it was rumoured that Disney had requested privalges to sail to Alaska, in about 6 or 8 months Disney announced they were going to be cruising to Alaska. DW and I, like you pixidustmom, think this would be the best - Disney and Hawaii what a GREAT combination!!!! We checked out the resort Disney is building in Hawaii............all I can say is WOW!!!!!:cool1::cool1: You guys should check it out. http://resorts.disney.go.com/aulani-hawaii-resort/ Ok this is the website, again computer challenged ol' me can't seem to post it as a link. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!!!!:confused3 I feel so stupid!!!:sad2:

Judy, that is a GREAT birthday cake for you son. I'll bet he was excited when he saw it!!!

Well, got to go and do my excercises. Got to keep the ol' ticker in good shape, even if I have to almost kill myself doing it!!!!:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:
have a good week-end all!!!:yay:

I don't know how I did it..........but I provided you all with the link to the website on Disney's Hawaiian Resort.:cool1::banana::thumbsup2 Hey.............I ain't so stupid afterall!!!! Or am I??? That's the question!!!
