Sept. 11, 2011 It's never too early to Dream

Well, I survived another battle with the ol' lawn mower tractor.:headache: Had to hit it only two or three times to show it just who is in charge. I swear, I think that stupid contraption has a mind of it's own. I turn the wheel to the left it wants to go right, I put it in a forward gear and it wants to go backwards. It's a constant battle with that dumb thing. But I finally got it done and even if I do say so myself, the yard does look pretty good. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We keep getting little reminders from the Disney cruise line about this up coming cruise. Are any of you getting them too? I think it is a very nice touch.

Well, gots to go. I'll, talk to you again later.:cheer2:

I forgot how WELL a fresh cut lawn can look! DH cut our lawn on Friday For the 1st time this year! My my, it does look GREAT! It poured rain all day yesterday, and is supposed to do the same today, BUT wow, it's really turning everything green to a LOT greener! I love the rain, but I don't like how chilly it's been this weekend!
Well, now I've got to go get Ready for work BAHhhhhhhhhhhhh.

OH and :cloud9: HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL US MOMS! :cloud9:

I just wanted to Wish all of our Mom's out there a

VERY HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

I hope you have a fantastic day today. You deserve it!!!!:thumbsup2:cool1:

I hope all of our Mom's out there had a very special day yesterday. My DW:love: and my DD:love: had their special day yesterday. I think they had a good time. It was nice having everyone over yesterday. Not all at once mind you, but the whole gang managed to make their way over to our ol' homestead. Like DW:love: said yesterday............."I'm glad this only happens once a year!!! I couldn't take all of this love'n more then once a year!!" :lmao::rotfl2:

Has anyone else been getting those little reminders from the Disney Cruise Line about this cruise coming up? I've gotten so far a couple of booklets and about two postcards from them. I think this is a very nice touch. We've been booked for our up coming cruise on Royal Caribbeans Oasis of the Seas for some time now. And, we've received nothing, nada from them. The reminders every now and then from Disney is a very nice personal touch.:thumbsup2:cool1:

Well, better get busy. Ya'll have a great day today. Talk to you later.:yay:

Yes, GOOD MORNING!
Where did our warm weather go? It was Bloody cold all weekend, and although it's nice to see the sun shining this morning, It's a TRICK! When yo step outside, the temp is at freezing point! Just sent DS6 off to school and had to unpack some mittens for him!

Yesterday wasn't too bad, had to work. Had to see a lot of the elderly residents have NO visit from any of their adult children. Many people DID come in and take their mom or dad out for the day, others came in to visit for a while, others never came came at all! But then it was those that got more attention from us Nursing staff, so hopefully we made a difference. It was a LONG day though! Once I was home, my two youngest children were waiting with cards they had made, and DH was busily making a delicious dinner. After supper, I went and picked up my mom and took her out to her favourite restaurant for desert, SHE LOVED IT! Both my older kids had left for work by the time I finished my day shift.

Here's my mothers day photo taken soon after I got home from work: DS6 was being the clown he is!

Well, good morning all. Hope you are having a nice day today.

TJ, I didn't know you are a nurse!!!! I was going to ask you for some free medical advice.............but I'll bet you get alot of that don't you. It's the same for me.............I work in estimating..................and I am always asked for some free estimating advice!!! That was nice you and the nursing staff gave those who didn't have anyone visit that extra added attention. My DD:love:, the one coming on this cruise with us is a nurse too. She works allot of hours. That is a job I couldn't do.............and I thank my lucky stars for people like you TJ and my daughter.

Well, I have to go and run an errand or two on my lunch hour. Ya'll have a great day!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Hi everyone! I hope everybody is having better weather than we are. It is cold, windy and raining today. Our weekend was filled with severe storms. I guess this is our payback for the unusually sunny, warm April that we enjoyed.

The DIS has been so s - l - o - w for me. Very annoying...

Well, the morning did start out great today. The sun is shining, it's not cold out. Just cool enough to need a light jacket, but didn't need to zip it up. And it'll get warmer as the day progresses.

But then DS12 came back from walking his dog. As usual, he walked into the house, put the dog down the side hallway and set the gate up, then yelled "BYE MOM" as he headed back out the door to school. 20 minutes later, when I walk to the front closet to get DS6's school bag and pack his lunch box into it, I walk into (not literally into, thank goodness!) DOG CRAP! DS12 had somewhere on the Doggy walk, stepped in some Doggy DOO DOO, and then walked right into the house with the Crap on his shoes, WIPED his shoes on the front hall carpet, in big long strides, then walked across the hall floor to the side hallway, leaving Crap imprints on the floor. :scared1:

Of course the little imp was gone by this time so I couldn't SCREAM at him (he probably planned it this way, LOL). SOOOOOOOOO, Major clean up this morning. Today is Garbage day, so I picked up that huge hallway carpet, rolled it up, tied it together with string and got it out to the garbage just before the Garbage truck came by! Then sweeping up all the dirt left behind (amazing how much dirt collects UNDER a carpet) Washed the floor and baseboards, and now It's CLEAN! That carpet was placed there for the winter two winters ago, and I've wanted it gone ever since the first spring afterwards, but we never got around to it. Didn't plan on all that this morning, but it's done now, and looks great! Funny thing is, I"m now not so Angry at DS12, LOL. But honestly, isn't he old enough to know "YOU JUST DONT WIPE YOUR SHOES WITH CRAP ON THEM, INDOORS!!!!!"

Sorry TJ but I just had to laugh:lmao::lmao::lmao: at your DS12's escapades at home today. Ahhhhhhhhhh, the memories it brings back. Fond, fond memories. You to TJ will look back on this and laugh, and laugh, and laugh!!! Good times.......good times!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: The little stinkers, no pun intended,;) sure can keep you on your toes, huh??!??!!!

Our weather down here has turned to the rather warm side. It's been in the upper 80's for pert neer a month now. (I think we had as much as 10 days of spring!!!) Nice and sunny:cool2: and warm here guys!!!

I had to work overtime today. We are getting busier then a one armed paper hanger. But hey, it helps pay for the cruises!!!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a great evening. See again real soon.:woohoo:

Boy oh boy, it's been awfully quiet on here the past couple of days.

Hello, hello, hello, hello,
is anybody, anybody, anybody, anybody, out there!! there there there:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Well, I hope eveyone is ok. Talk to ya'll later!!!

Just a quick hello, I'm on my son's laptop for a couple of days, when I need my cup of "internet". LOL, my computer is unhooked and waiting to go into the fix it shop. Needs a new fan, but I thought maybe it just needs the dust and dirt cleaned out. So I opened that baby up, and WOWA! The dust in there looks like it's caked on at least a half inch thick! I didn't want to risk cleaning it, so I'll leave that to the professionals. I'm not fond of the keyboard on the laptop,,,, some keys are further away from my fingers than I'm used to!

On a funny note,, We had a home security system installed yesterday, and this one you can have set unarmed, but can ask it to notify you when any particular door opens. So everytime someone comes or goes, we hear a beep and a voice saying "Front door Open", or "Patio door Open".... My kids are getting annoyed with it, but I think it's great! My younger one can't sneek out on me anymore, and it's perfect for the daycare children! We can even set it to call our cell phone if one of our kids hasn't come in by the set curfew time! Every parents perfect toy! Uh oh, battery low on the laptop, so gotta go! Hope everyone is well, and healthy and having a good day!

GOOD SATURDAY MORNING!!!! What a gorgeous day it is out there today! We'll be heading off to the farmers market later this morning. This will be their first weekend up and running this year! I want to get and try some "Farm Fresh Eggs".

I took my computer in to get fixed yesterday, it's still there. They cleaned all the dust out and then the guy called me and said "it's not the fan, it's working now, just needed a good clean out, but the computer is really slow so we did a diagnostic on it, and it's FULL of viruses" hmmmmmmmm, I guess that means our trusty virus detector doesn't work so well? So they are cleaning all those out as well. But they Didn't say when I would have my computer back!

Yesterday afternoon, I spent cleaning out and reorganizing the cupboards and got a huge box packed of kitchen items I no longer want/need for the CHEO garage sale. DH comes home and sees the mess in the kitchen and me cleaning away (which is obviously not a typical event for me) and he says very curiously " WHAT are you doing?" to which I replied "Going through Computer Withdrawl"!

Good Sunday morning all. TJ, I hope you enjoy those "Farm Fresh Eggs.":thumbsup2 As a boy I grew up on a small farm. Amoung other farm produce we would sell, we raised chickens and sold the eggs. One of my chores was to go and collect the eggs every day. You could find the eggs anywhere. Often I would find the eggs out in the yard where the chickens roamed, mostly in their nests though. Nothing better then fresh.........anything!!!!:cool1:

Well, I survived another Saturday, in the yard and..............."Clean-up in the Pool Area!!!" I guess on Memorial Day week-end I will be power washing the pool cool deck, getting it ready to put a new coat and new color on the cool deck. Nosy neighbor next door did his a few weeks ago and DW likes what he did, so now I have to do ours.:headache: Oh well, I do think DW has a good idea for new color. Go to go next week-end to see if this color is available.

Well, I have to go and exercise on our elpitical machine. I call it the torture machine. My doctor wants me to work out on this thing 5 days a week to lose a couple unwanted pounds and keep the ol' ticker in good shape. (I hate to admit it..............but so far I have lost around 20 pounds. Getting close to my ol' weight when I was l o o k i n g g o o d!!!

Ya'll have a great day!!!:cool1::cool1:

I hope everyone is having a good week. Mine so far..............is pretty good.....so far that is.:confused3 Week is still just starting!!!

Hey TJ, have you got your computer fixed yet? Several years ago, we had sounds like similar problems with our comouter as you are having with yours. We had bunches........................and I mean bunches of viruses on our computer. I did a remote with some yaahoo to try and fix our problems. Shouldn't have done that. He ended up having me wipe our computer clean. I....................the computer wizard that I am:rolleyes1....................didn't realize that was what he was doing until it was too late. Lost everything we had stored on the computer. I mean we had some photo's that I hadn't gotten around to put on a disk....................gone. DW:love: sure was mad that day!!!!! In fact I still hear about it every now and then. Remember those pictures we took of the grandkids...............THAT WE DON'T HAVE ANYMORE!!!!!! Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well I learned my lesson needless to say. We ended up buying a new computer anyways!!!! So, to make a long story short, TJ sounds like you and your DH did the smart thing...........going to someone who knows what they are doing.

Well, better get back to work. Talk to ya'll again real soon!!!:woohoo:

Hello All!!!! Sorry for the lack of Responses....Hope you get your PC Fixed soon TJ. Its hard to believe how much we depend on these things.:surfweb: Shannon and I just bought a MAC and we LOVE IT!!!! Its really hard for one of those to catch a virus (I've heard anyway), so we wnt that route. So far its awsome! Hi David, ready for that trade yet?? :worship:Sorry we have not written too much lately. Shannon, Ragdoll, our family and myself are getting geared up for Vegas this week. Were leaving Sunday and will return Friday. :cool1::banana:That should be alot of fun, but all of us have been pretty preoccupied with that one. Ragdoll's son (Shannon's brother) is getting married out there on tuesday, so were packing up the whole fam damily!!:thumbsup2 I Hope all else is well, I will write back before we leave for sure. Have fun! I gotta get back to this work thing they pay me to do...:happytv:

I've got my computer back and finally hooked back up. But then for the past few days I've been busy dealing with Crap. My DS17 works at Walmart. He's been harassed on his cell phone for a week all because he talked to someone elses "Girlfriend". Sunday night, after leaving work at 11pm, as he was walking the short 20 minute walk home, he was assaulted before he even got out of the parking lot. My DH and I were in bed, long asleep, when we get a call at 11:15pm from the Walmart Manager telling us to get over there quickly and that they were at that moment waiting for Police and Paramedics to arrive.
UUUGGGHHhhh,,, what a nightmare! We get there, everyone is inside the building, DS is crying he is so shook up, and at the same time embarrassed about shedding tears, as well as ANGRY at who did this. His right jaw is tremendously Swollen, his clothes are covered in blood as was his face and hair, and his right ear is HUGE and Purple and Blue. Ambulance to Hospital arriving just before midnight, and we were there till just after 5AM. X-rays showed that thankfully his jaw wasn't broken. They glued the laceration on the top of his head and used icepacks for the ear and jaw. A nice officer showed up to take his statement which ended up being two pages long. Long story short, the assailent is Known and will be charged (and thankfully he is over 18 which means he'll be charged as an Adult!). There were Shockingly others involved including his ex-girlfriend, whom I had always thought kindly of. She and her friends, if they weren't part of the planning, DID in fact KNOW that there was a plan to harm my son! ANd they did NOTHING! THe good thing is a handful of those involved WORK at walmart, and Walmart management has suspended all of them till their internal investigation is done, and likely, many of them will LOSE their job over this. The bad thing is, there could possibly be some retaliation over that (go figure). So we aren't letting our son walk anywhere after dark anymore till all this is sorted out.
He amazingly, had NO concussion just flesh wounds, muscle wounds and some minor cuts and scrapes. He's sore and will be for a while, but I guess I'm counting my blessings that it wasn't worse than it was.

All that because he talked to a girl??????????? INSANE! His ex-girlfriend has already texted him a sarcastic "THANKS A LOT" for her losing her shifts this week. UNBELIEVABLE! We're going to have his cell number changed tomorrow.
He's in good spirits and in hospital was even able to chuckle about how lopsided his face looks now (glad he can see some humour in that).
OHHHHHh LIFE!

Wow tj, that is horrible! Hope your son is doing much better by now. I imagine the body will heal quicker than the mental anguish caused by this. Scary stuff! People can be insane.:sad2: So sorry that you all had to go through this.

Wow TJ! Thats Crappy....Hope he is doing better!!! At the end of the day, at least you have a nice set of cat scans for future reference!! :thumbsup2 (Trying to be optimistic about it) :)

So sorry TJ to hear about your son. And, he was just talking to a girl!!!!!:confused3 So glad to hear that is is ok and doing well.:thumbsup2

Wow, I'm having same problems with the DIS now that Ragdoll was having a day or two ago S...........L..............O...............W.

Well it's about time I start heading home for the evening. Ya'll have a great day.

Good Morning to all!!! How is your son doing TJ, Better I hope. It is amazing that all of that crap happened over talking to a girl..Its rediculous actually.:confused3 Did they ever catch the guy that did it yet? I hope they throw the book at him for your son's sake. (And I would write the girls cell number on every bathroom stall in the city if I was him...but thats just me.):thumbsup2 And Good morning David, Hope all is well..I hope your not dealing with that dumb old sunshine that nobody likes. That has to stink! I'll trade you for cloudy cold Cleveland if I have too....I hope everyone has a good day!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:
