Debra, I'm in! Walking only, no running for this chick. ;)

I'm all for a brisk walk.....running is rough on my knees! Sounds good girl! :thumbsup2

Marilyn....wouldn't it be nice if other people's exercising could rub off on you so you wouldn't have to do the actually excercise yourself? Life just isn't fair! lol

someone mentioned a few days back about the kids being able to talk to each other before the cruise. do you guys want me to start a kids only thread?

Just think of all that exercising going on in the gym, now if only that would rub off on me while I lie on a Deck 4 chair watching the joggers go round and round!!!

hey, it takes up a lot of calories moving your head from left to right when you watch them go past!

I like the way you think....and then that way I could have my piece of chocolate cake and glass of wine while I watch them work off my calories! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

then again, saying that, i really do need to do some exercise soon, i've signed up for a 38km charity walk for the disney voluntears programme, and thats at the end of may. need to get my walking shoes on........
(oh and if anyone fancies sponsoring me, the money is going to great ormond street charity)

if i could just figure out a way of someone being able to work off my calories for me, i'd be laughing!

apparently it does! my manager told me that a few days ago :)

hi, karen that was myself, i have exchanged email addresses with leanne, mayb others would prefer a kids thread too so younger kids could join in with parents help, i know there is not many kids on board so i dont know how active it would be.

however if they are anything like their parents:surfweb:we wont be able to keep them quiet:chat:

GA-ya ya......DH born and raised in Atlanta and his family lives in Alpharetta. I havent been back since my MIL passed in 1991 but I remember it being beautiful......all the trees. You know in CA we think we have trees:scared1:

Hi goofprincess!
Y'all should plan to come back to Alpharetta some time to visit. It is very green here - lots of trees (which translates into LOTS of raking in the Fall!)
In fact, this is my favorite time of year here - Spring...everything is blooming and it is absolutely beautiful!
I am a southern Louisiana girl :joker: who is used to tropical/evergreen landscaping, so I truly enjoy the amazing show that the trees & flowers put on for us every spring & fall! :goodvibes
We'll need to meet up on the cruise so we can talk with both of you!

Wow, cannot believe how much this thread has moved along.

Have been busy with house renovations, new roof being put on plus other odds and ends. Also helping a friend with their company accounts, love working from home.

Lynne, love the recap, made the quest for catching up a whole lot easier.

Hello to all new WBTA cruisers.

Mum was taken into hospital yesterday with breathing difficulties, all tests so far are good but they will keep her in for a few days for observation, she of course is worried that the cruise might be cancel, but we have 6 months to go so told her not to worry, we will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary and 82nd birthday on the Magic, she just has to work on getting better.

Karen, sounds as though you had a great time in Singapore, we will be stopping off there for a week before going the cruise, cannot wait for the food feast while we are there.

Shoes - what can I say, must have at least 30 pairs (and counting) and the bags, well ...... all I can say is I stopped buying these items the moment I retired, husband is now a happy chappy.

I love watching the Biggest Loser and this year they have a couple of new trainers. One of them is a female boxer. After watching the show, I think I could really get into using a punching bag. I belong to the YMCA and they don't have punching bags there. Would love to train with someone to get full use of the bag. I do kickboxing but no upperbody work-out in it like using a punching bag!:thumbsup2

Let me know how you like yours. Is it on a stand?

I ordered a set with a stand. It also comes with a bracket to hang it from the ceiling, but I figured if I did that I'd get it wrong and end up pulling down the whole ceiling.

ooh what game is that? i fancy trying zumba but my shifts are so erratic at work that im not sure if i could do regular classes

It's called "Zumba Fitness." They have it for some other gaming systems, too. It's a lot of fun, and a pretty good workout.

The alarmist in me is wondering about labeling a thread "kids only." Might attract the wrong sort, if you know what I mean. (I think I watch too many shows about Internet predators.)

I hope she's okay! My parents are getting "up there," too, and I always worry when they have a health problem.

:cheer2::cheer2: So Excited!!! :cheer2::cheer2:
:cheer2: We just bought our flight to Barcelona!!! :cheer2:
One-way airfares are so very expensive :scared1:, but we got lucky and found a good rate tonight on a non-stop ATL-BCN! We are leaving a day earlier than planned:woohoo:, but it all worked out! Hooray!
Now I feel like this is really happening. :thumbsup2

I definitely have every intention of working out on this cruise... of course I always say that and in 5 cruises have only seen the gym once. I've always wanted to do the spinning but it's so early! Water aerobics sounds like a lot of fun though so I'd definitely be in. :goodvibes
