I am sure Lee & I will be joining the GIT's & Geezers at some point when the late nights take their toll on us. I am sure we can help get you all back to your rooms safely.

I've been reading about the drinks tasting? I am not a Tequila/Margarita lover, but I do like the odd Mojito.

Definitely .... I think if we meet up at about 6pm at the Hard Rock on Placa Catalunya, we can chat and have a drinky and then anyone who wants to eat we can book a table / tables for about 7:30 - 8:00. Does this sound about right. Can you add this to the list Noel


Thats exactly how we see it ...... a pudding is something hot you have with custard eg. syrup sponge, Christmas Pudding, jam roly poly etc. Everything else is a dessert. We are a weird nation .... and let's not even start on the whole lunch / dinner / tea thing

Palo actually do Afternoon Tea rather than High Tea. High Tea should have more of a light meal content. If we went out for High Tea when I was young we had Ham and Eggs and Chips(fries) or some such like!!

The best drinks class we did was the Mixology class where you got to make your own cocktails ... although I only really liked the Pina Colada to drink it was great fun doing it.

dd ellie 7 weeks, this will be her first introduction to our disney obsession.

We certainly used to in the good old days, though with the advent of trying to be posher or more international we used desserts or sweets(not the candy variety) instead. Basically hot desserts with custard etc would still be puddings, but called desserts on a restaurant menu. sometimes we call them 'afters' too. As in 'what are we having for afters?' We are a very odd nation.

This is the second night of the Geezer meets. We had cookies and hot chocolate. Some members forgot to turn up this night and missed out!!!!

Marilyn your explanation of 'pudding' or dessert made me chuckle. That is exactly how I would describe it too. Dessert has certainly gained in popularity in the quest for being 'posh'

I got myself in a tizz last year as we were booked with BA then, the same as this year. I worried about it, but then realised that they won't strike in September, it doesn't affect the same volume of people outwith school holiday time and, sure as fate, we were okay !!

Indeed, and John and I were at the very first Geezer and GIT get together on the 2008 WBPC. Lots of fun and laughs. I think last September's TA's group had an even better time though. Nothing too organised, just meet up at Cove Cafe after 10pm and see if anyone else is there.

We have had a lot of fun with this photo of John with a walking frame!!! It is actually the rail on the steps, see the other side. But I think it is so funny!!!

The one you came along to last year was rather dire. Nobody we knew was at that one at that time, and that one lady there went on and on and on and on.....about herself..... I was losing the will to live.

Yep! We get the same reaction. However, when Em was 2 months old and Sarah was 3 years old, I was flying with just me and the girls out of state... alone... juggling getting them through TSA security with zero help and handling the car seat, stroller, and rental car. Having a baby has not slowed us down, even with two! Curt will be flying standby from New York to Barcelona (he's an airline employee, so that's why we're doing that - to actually use his flight benefits for once --- he'll know if he's on the flight 30 minutes before it leaves, or he is looking for another flight), so there is the very real possibility I will be doing the flight alone with the girls since we have tickets. In coach. But we will be fine. I'm going to already have Curt sign the papers for me to take the girls out of the country by myself in case he doesn't make the flight. I feel certain he will make it to BCN before the cruise leaves since we are going a few days early, but still being prepared to take the cruise without him if he doesn't.... then DCL also has the signed papers as well for me to travel with children without him. (I don't think my parents have thought of that possibility!! That will really freak them out!)

We'll have a practice run in July though - I'm taking the girls on a church mission trip out of state for a week while Curt has to work. And next week home to see my family. Have kids, will still travel!

we do have 2 older children dd 20 and ds 17. who are a really great help to us with younger children but they have decided not to vacation with us this year i wonder why ....Not!!

but ive already instilled the disney bug in them and they are introducing their friends to disneyworld instead.

my husband has already clocked the beer/wine tasting and cigar seminar so i think it only right that i should do a tequila/margarita/mojito tasting for the team!!!

Grrr.... Speaking as a former airline employee, married to a 15+ year employee... strikes are ridiculous. Fortunately, he works for a company that strives to keep employees happy and has never had a strike. He's worked in both unionized and non-unionized departments. I hope mediators settle things soon!

Brave... crazy... same thing.
If some of the men are going to do cigar things... the women can get together for "play dates" onboard during those times! (And vice versa!!!)
