Because so many people have asked about lanyards and pins what did they look like last year, I decided to post a picture. Our lanyards this year will be wider and have a water resistant pouch.

We've booked at boardwalk villas for the night of 24th too. We've never been there yet, but wanted the central location. It's supposed to be great. We've booked beach club villas for our July/august trip, so decided on BWV for a change

We have stayed at yacht club & beach club... We love that we can walk to epcot or hollywood studios if we want.

A quick question are we allowed to carry wine on board or does it need to go thru in your luggage?

You have to carry it on. You can't put it in your checked luggage. At least, that's the way it is at Port Canaveral. I'm assuming the same will be true for Barca.

We definitely had to carry on the wine, beer etc. in Barcelona.

I'm glad we have that stop in Gibraltar. I have the feeling we're going to need it. Our carry-ons in Barca will likely be loaded (so to speak) but it still won't be enough for two weeks!

My Elkie was Zoe. She was a rescue, and she was with me for 12 years. An amazing dog and breed. She was absolutely convinced that she was smarter than Dennis (and she might've been right). I lost her to kidney failure just about 2 years ago. It broke our hearts to lose her. I think old George still misses her.

Just found out a search and rescue party has been looking for me, apparently. Thanks for the pm, Marilyn. Very much appreciated, allthough luckely not really neccessairy. Just typical same-old-same-old for me. Will probably happen again and could even happen during the cruise that I seem MIA. Just one of those periods that comes along with my health. A total lack of energy, doing a killer imitation of Sleeping Beauty in her sleepingperiod and finding a new hobby (talk about humor; I took up baking. Cakes, pies, pastries, the works. Couldn't even heat a precooked meal without burning it until recently and now I'm hooked up to my feedingtube I turn into a bakingpro. Made a Parrot Cay banana bread earlier this week; yum! takes you back onto the Magic instantly..) I hardly ever find the time or energy to hang out on the DIS. Sure does make time before the cruise go faster, though!

Sorry you have not been feeling good, hope you feel better soon.

Those are GREAT! I think I'll come OFF the TeeShirt list and go ON the lanyard list. Lanyards are easier to pack for the trip home!

I see a lot of posts from the UK side discussing some great discounts for the cruise...does anyone know if these are available for US residents? We booked through AAA, but would love to know if there's any discounts we qualify for!

Seems like these particular discounts are only available for UK and I think Europe in general. They did something similar last year. I guess in an attempt to get more Europeans onboard so they get to like DCL and keep sailing, particularly when a ship is over in Europe.

However, I hope something comes up for the rest of the world. There appears to be a good offer for the EBTA, so perhaps one might become available for this one.

When I emailed DCL to ask, this was part of the reply 2/14:
As far as promotions and special offers, certain requirements always
apply. Although the offer you referenced may only be applicable to
Guests from the United Kingdom, others we have may only apply to Guests
from the United States. Each offer is unique. In addition, special
offers may only be applicable to certain stateroom categories.

Special promotions can be viewed online at www.disneycruise.com, scroll
down the page and click on Special Offers. If an offer opens up for the
14-Night Transatlantic Westbound Cruise, it would be displayed in this
location.


I haven't been around DCL long enough to have seen any US-only specials... not sure when they are offered or for what itineraries. I have seen the FLORIDA specials, but not US as this CM replied. Very anxious to see the US-only specials she mentioned!!
