*Sept 10th 2011 WB Transatlantic* - From Spain to Space Mountain - Part 6

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks.

Looking at page 1 about the bar crawl it says:

"This will be held on: Thursday 15 September @ Starting at 13:00 - 17:00.

The Route for the crawl will be:

Diversions <----- Start point and initial meeting place
Rockin Bar D
Promenade Lounge
Signals
Cove Cafe

Those who are interested would meet in Diversions (Deck 3 Forward and Beat Street area) for (Traditionally a half pint pounded but as this is a big group I would suggest a drink of your choice) and then visit (Crawl) every other bar on the ship at least once.

As we do not have to worry about anything closing or how we are getting home, I would imagine we can spend 20-30 convivial minutes at each location versus the 5-10 min you have on the monopoly pub crawl in London.

Also, Please remember that you do not have to sign up and you may join for all or part. Really the more the merrier. The sign up is really just more for us to see who will be with us"

Just wanted to let anyone who is leaving on Tues-Fri of next week that you can get a FREE breakfast!!!!

Chick-fil-a is giving away free breakfast entrees from the 6-10th. We reserved two biscuits for the morning we drive to Disney.

All you have to do to get your free entree is go to http://www.chick-fil-aforbreakfast.com and register for your entree, print out the coupon from your email and you're good to go. You must bring photo id w/ you to redeem the coupon.

Cruise Critic - which has threads for all the different cruise lines. But the Disney thread is SOOOOOOO minimal compared to the DISboards. However, if you do another cruise on a different cruise line you should definitely go there. And it also has threads based on destinations, so if you are looking for info on excursions you can find a lot of info.

I like Cruise Critic as well & it is great for questions or destination info. I think people are a little kinder on the disboards though! I am "CruiseLiz" on Cruise Critic.

i've decided that i really should start packing sunday as its my last day off before leaving saturday morning. wish me luck.........

Yes we are packing this weekend too. I'm hoping to finish work early today and start this afternoon, but it depends on how much I can get done.

I need to learn to say NO when I have clients call me for another appointment (I'm a nail tech)... I'm taking Thursday off, and we don't leave til Friday afternoon, but I still see being totally rushed. I WILL NOT WORK THURSDAY. I WILL NOT WORK THURSDAY. I WILL NOT WORK THURSDAY. Even if they call and beg. And they will.

Well, off to earn a living...

See you guys later!

Just say no! ;) I have a friend who does hair and she also has a hard time taking off time from work b/c she's afraid that she will lose clients. You deserve this vacation & shouldn't be rushed to pack!

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

I'm off to my first stop - Cape Cod :)
"If you're fond of sand dunes, and salty air
Quaint little villages, here and there . . ."

Still didn't find my charger but made a command decision to just buy another one. Nothing that can't be solved by throwing a little cash at it.

Other than that, I've decided it if isn't packed, I don't need it!

Hope everyone manages to stay in good health and have a safe journey to Spain!

Happy Day, all!

That sounds so nice! I hope you have a wonderful time in Cape Cod and a safe flight to Barcelona. :goodvibes

I've just been to have my holiday hair cut, tried a new place which is closer to where I live. It wasn't too bad, so i'll probably go back.

Need to get going with some more packing today and Monday i'm having my Manicure & Pedicure.....it's getting so close now!

Hair for me is tomorrow. I am hoping to fit in a mani/pedi but don't know if I'll have the time.

Has anyone done shellack??? I was thinking about doing it for the cruise but have heard mixed reviews - some say it peels and others love it....

Just wanted to wish you all a safe and fantastic trip. I was on last year's WBTA and it was a trip of a lifetime. My advice is even if you are tired every night, stay up a little longer ! The 14 days goes so fast! Hope you have calm seas and lots of sunshine!

That is so nice of you to pop in and wish everyone well! Thank you :goodvibes

I'm really starting to freak out since we leave Sunday. I've never been so nervous about packing and traveling but then again we've never traveled so long with the baby before.

You will do fine! Remember that if you forget something for your little one, you can probably buy it in Barcelona or even on the ship. So excited for you guys leaving soon!!!

Thank you - I trawled so far back and couldn't find it!

What is the best way to pack the FE gifts?? I have everything lined up but have not put in bags as I am afraid it won't fit in the luggage! How does everyone manage?

Thanks so much Marilyn! I'm really starting to freak out since we leave Sunday. I've never been so nervous about packing and traveling but then again we've never traveled so long with the baby before.

Wow you go soon don't you? It is all stressful isn't it? I bet your little one will sleep the flight away though.

Noel a big thank you to you and John for all your hard work you are doing :worship::worship: for this cruise, despite everything else going on around you, you are the patient one !

 You certainly need this cruise to recover from all the stress!

Noel, thank you so much for all the hard work - you've done so much more than could ever be expected, and we really appreciate it!!

So pleased Sam got into the law school Noel. At least that was some good news though I know things were a little fraught at the time. Sorry about the other things though. Thanks for all the work, it is really appreciated. I have asked over on FB a couple of times asking if you still need any more money towards the lanyards as we wouldn't want you to be out of pocket. I had thought it was covered or I would have asked sooner.

Noel - sorry to hear about all that you're going through
Thanks to everyone for their kind words. We are on the home stretch and if my back up plan works for the lanyards, they will arrive in time. Marilyn, as I said on FB, any and all contributions are welcome to the lanyard fund. Next time I will be more experienced in doing this and do it like Erik does and have a team of 25!!

Connie, I had an entire bag for FE last year which cost me a fortune in excess baggage fees. This time, I am doing smaller gifts and distributing them among the luggage I am going to take.

noel, not sure if you had this info or not, but it was mentioned a couple of pages back but there's no set organiser so there's no post on the front page - thought it might be useful info for the navigator if you've got room:

walking group - meeting outside lumiere's on sea days at 9am for a walk/jog/run round the deck four jogging track.

I had a Shellac Manicure on the Dream in January and I loved it. :thumbsup2 I haven't found anywhere local to me that does it so I am having a Gel mani & pedi on Monday so they are done for Barcelona & the beginning of the cruise, but I may a get a Shellac on my nails part way through the cruise.

Mine are quite large but light so I am spreading mine across all my luggage.

Thank you to everyone for their patience as I try to deal with a backup plan on the lanyards, get the Dis Navigator done, sort out the Madeira tour van assignments etc.

Coupled with that we had a death in the family, the porch on our Lake House has to be replaced (discovered when part caved in) before the snows in late fall, Samantha getting into law school in San Diego and various other sundry items!!

Thank you Noel for all the work you have done. And then all what is going on at home. You earned this cruise so with it to rest from all this.
I am so pleased with the navigator that you make, all in one place.

I am absolutely totally freaking OUT! i CAN'T find my camera battery charger and I leave home tomorrow morning. It MUST be packed, but it's not checked off my LIST and it's not where it's supposed to be. Excuse me while I hyperventilate.

Have you found it yet. What camera do you have, perhaps someone has the same and you can use there charger if possible.

Connie.....I just used zip-lock bags so they could also use the bag if they needed one. Worked last year. :goodvibes

Thank you Karen! I will add to Dis Navigator.

If anyone can think of any other events that are non hosted, please let me know.

I can not remember who doing the Calibre exchange on Kindles/Nooks etc. Would that person please PM me?

Thank you for our kind words. It is will be good to have all the Dis activities in one place!

I am trying to get all the data together for a preliminary release on Saturday for additions/corrections.

 I will have to think up something special from Oregon to share with you guys ... you wouldn't happen to need any rain would you ... we're famous for that

Not unless it's accompanied by lots of sunshine!!!!

A question about Secret Mickey -

If you were getting a Secret Mickey gift, when would you want to recieve it?

Beginning of the cruise, Halfway through or towards the end???

I'm leaning towards halfway b/c that seems like a nice time for a surprise, but I wanted to see what the consensus was on this.

Thanks Claire. I've just been a little hesitant to try it but I guess I should shut up and just do it!
