*Sept 10th 2011 WB Transatlantic* - From Spain to Space Mountain - Part 6

We are wearing our shirts we had made from the front page designs. Hopefully others are wearing them too, otherwise may have to rethink our first day outfits! :rotfl2:
We're wearing those too, but we had color tshirts made.

I am so stressed and anxious right now .... but not about this cruise. Tomorrow my DD is leaving WDW at the end of her College Progamme ( yes .. that went quick !! ) and flying across the USA to Seattle via Detroit. I booked her flight a few days ago and sent her the E-ticket plus info relating to baggage costs, check in times, layover times etc. Since then I have heard nothing from her and don't know if she has got the E-ticket in her email, she hasn't been on Facebook etc either. I imagine she is just busy packing up and finishing her last shifts etc, but I am just so anxious that she gets safely to Seattle. She has never done anything like thsi completely on her own, as when she flew out to USA she was with a group and on a direct flight. I can't even think about the cruise this evening or anything else for that matter and I certainly won't sleep well tonight. Being a parent can be really hard sometimes :sad2::sad2::sad2:

Glad to hear she finally got a hold of you. I'm sure it's very hard not to worry!

I am absolutely totally freaking OUT! i CAN'T find my camera battery charger and I leave home tomorrow morning. It MUST be packed, but it's not checked off my LIST and it's not where it's supposed to be. Excuse me while I hyperventilate.

Hope you find it. I started putting my stuff to pack in a basket tonight and am really freaking out that I'm not going to get everything packed or I'm going to forget something. :confused3

i've decided that i really should start packing sunday as its my last day off before leaving saturday morning. wish me luck.........

One more Pass at Lanyard and Lanyard Lists
Oh, just one small correction....Alphaninn has an "n" in the middle; it's on the list as Alphainn. Jess would probably just laugh and think it was funny, but if you don't mind, could you pop that little sucker in there :goodvibes. You are going to be SO sorry you ever volunteered to wrangle this gang!

Thanks (again and again and again),
Pat

Done!

Thank you so much. Just before I went to work this morning she popped up on my Facebook chat ... it was about 2am there and she had just finished her last shift. Anyway she said she had printed off her ticket, booked a coach to go to the airport, bought an extra bag and sorted out cash to pay for the bags. She was just packing. So that was a big relief to a worried Mum.

She will be in the air on her first leg round about now, so I will be on edge until she lands in Seattle in about 8 hours.

So glad you've heard from Taryn and your mind is at ease now :)

dont worry, you'll be in good company with claire around!

:lmao::lmao::lmao: You are never gonna live this down Hun

Thank you to everyone for their patience as I try to deal with a backup plan on the lanyards, get the Dis Navigator done, sort out the Madeira tour van assignments etc.

Coupled with that we had a death in the family, the porch on our Lake House has to be replaced (discovered when part caved in) before the snows in late fall, Samantha getting into law school in San Diego and various other sundry items!!

Noel a big thank you to you and John for all your hard work you are doing :worship::worship: for this cruise, despite everything else going on around you, you are the patient one !

Same here I don't have any PJ's..... and claire neither do you, at last count you hadn't packed any clothes :rotfl2::rotfl2:

margaret

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I actually packed a few tops yesterday!!!! I do NOT want to be known as "The Naked Champagne Girl" (kinda like the naked cowboy in NYC) :lmao:

 You certainly need this cruise to recover from all the stress!

:lmao::lmao::lmao: You are never gonna live this down Hun

Nope! I think i'll have to keep a tally of how many naked comments I get on the cruise. :rotfl2:

Noel, thank you so much for all the hard work - you've done so much more than could ever be expected, and we really appreciate it!!

I think I'm on the mend - the cold and chills seems to have stopped, but I've had a headache for 3 days that I can't quite get rid of (and as I'm prone to migraines this makes me nervous right before a trip!) But then Eilidh got sick on Wednesday... was sick to her stomach about 4 times during the night, then woke up yesterday right as rain and full of beans again. Who knows! I've already told my family that they aren't allowed to have any more illnesses or injuries!

I'm having my final dress fitting on Saturday - will FINALLY get to see it put back together again!

I still haven't done my FE gifts, made my FE, my door decorations or my printed t-shirts. I have some time next week, but nothing like leaving it to the last minute! I may be able to do some tonight though, if I'm not too tired.

I need to learn to say NO when I have clients call me for another appointment (I'm a nail tech)... I'm taking Thursday off, and we don't leave til Friday afternoon, but I still see being totally rushed. I WILL NOT WORK THURSDAY. I WILL NOT WORK THURSDAY. I WILL NOT WORK THURSDAY. Even if they call and beg. And they will.

Well, off to earn a living...

See you guys later!

So pleased Sam got into the law school Noel. At least that was some good news though I know things were a little fraught at the time. Sorry about the other things though. Thanks for all the work, it is really appreciated. I have asked over on FB a couple of times asking if you still need any more money towards the lanyards as we wouldn't want you to be out of pocket. I had thought it was covered or I would have asked sooner.

Well just get some naked sunbathing in and at least you would be totally PINK.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I don't have any advice, it's been over ten years since we have been in Europe with jetlag, but wondering if we might be on any of the same flights. We leave KC Wed. at 5:05 pm to Dallas and then to London. See you soon! :)

I used to travel to/from Minneapolis every month for 8 months for work. It's a bizarre feeling but I think jetlag is misunderstood. It's a case of working hard to adjust as quickly as possible to the new timezone. Adjust your watch to the new time as you board the plane and try to 'live' in the new timezone, don't take too much alcohol and try to get up and move around the plane. At least you'll have lots of time to adjust on the ship!

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

I'm off to my first stop - Cape Cod :)
"If you're fond of sand dunes, and salty air
Quaint little villages, here and there . . ."

Still didn't find my charger but made a command decision to just buy another one. Nothing that can't be solved by throwing a little cash at it.

Other than that, I've decided it if isn't packed, I don't need it!

Hope everyone manages to stay in good health and have a safe journey to Spain!

Happy Day, all!

OK, this may be a weird question, but I was wondering if DCL provides some kind of bedwetting sheets in the staterooms?

My son still has accidents, and I was wondering if I had to bring my own sheets:confused3 but it would be nice if I didn't have to do laundry if he has an accident.

Christina

Hi Christina - we had similar experiences with my grandson - how about a plastic sheet to protect the mattress? Sheets are easy enough to wash, but those plastic sheets - or even big trash bags - do save mattresses.

My last school day for 3 weeks!!! :cool1: Came "out of retirement" to be a long term sub through Feb vacation, finished my first week back, now a three week vacation!! I might just enjoy being retired!

4 more days til we fly off to Barcelona. Can't wait! Caroline

Need a smile to ease the packing woes?

Kathleen, a 3-yr old girl, was asked to hold a flashlight high over her mommy so the paramedic could see while he helped deliver the baby. Little Connor was born. The paramedic lifted him by his feet and spanked him on his bottom and he began to cry. The paramedic then asked the wide-eyed 3-yr old what she thought about what she had just witnessed. She quickly responded, 'He shouldn't have crawled in there in the first place, spank him again!'

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

...and we're back full circle to your going around without pants.

LMAO!!! Yes I guess I am! :lmao:

I've just been to have my holiday hair cut, tried a new place which is closer to where I live. It wasn't too bad, so i'll probably go back.

Need to get going with some more packing today and Monday i'm having my Manicure & Pedicure.....it's getting so close now!

Well that made me laugh Marilyn :)

Noel - sorry to hear about all that you're going through

I am just sorting all my music out for my phone - printing my planner for the cruise otherwise I'll forget what I'm supposed to be doing. List for the girls.

Just wanted to wish you all a safe and fantastic trip. I was on last year's WBTA and it was a trip of a lifetime. My advice is even if you are tired every night, stay up a little longer ! The 14 days goes so fast! Hope you have calm seas and lots of sunshine!

Glad to hear you are feeling better! Tell them NO!!!!! You cannot work Thursday!!!!!!!!! I'm working today and we leave Sunday and I'm about to have a heart attack :scared1:

DH would agree with you whole heartedly :good vibes Glad you got it taken care of.

Thanks so much Marilyn! I'm really starting to freak out since we leave Sunday. I've never been so nervous about packing and traveling but then again we've never traveled so long with the baby before.
