Just out of curiosity....I know some people got their room assignments on Monday but haven't really heard whether anyone else had gotten theirs since then. Do you think they are only releasing room #'s once a week? :confused3

yep will do.

are you going to P&T on the 7th or 8th? and where are you sitting? it wont let me book anything in the stalls?!

I answered you through Facebook. :)

Hope you manage to get some tickets. :wizard:

while we're getting people to check things, am i missing any events off the calendar?

Karen -

Yes we planned the 16th as it was free. We are happy to move the th e13th so everyone has time to get ready for Formal night. Can you please update.

Dan and Chris

I read through this quickly and thought, how many people on this cruise lived in a place to see that. I missed the "DH" on the first go-through.

Were you booked for this cruise nearly a year in advance?

:thumbsup2Yes we booked the day the cruise was released to DVC members and it was the best part of 2 years in advance. We had decided a long time before this we wanted to do this cruise because it’s our 25 th wedding anniversary and my birthday. So it’s been a very long time coming and at times I never thought we would never get to this point, but here we are the holiday of a lifetime and 25 years of wedded bliss:dance3::dance3:…. Lol I would have got less of a sentence if I had committed murder… I love him really. But I am beginning to panic about leaving DS and DD at home even though they are 22 and 17

A little information regarding the Champagne Girls event!!

In the meantime get those pink boas & tiara's ready ladies!!! We are going to have so much fun!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 That's great my name is on the list. :cloud9: really looking forward to it, I have my pink boa and tiara and intend to get Hazelandannie's tshirt design printed. But I am begining to wonder if my boa will have any feathers left on it, every time I move it some fall off..lol at least I won't get lost I can just follow the trail.:rotfl2:
Maybe it's just as well that DCL charge us 20$, then it will be laid on, and saves us carrying all those champagne bottles around:rotfl2:

I'm confused... :confused3

I'm also from the UK & was recommending they take the BA flight from Heathrow or London City airport?

I am flying BA to Barcelona from Heathrow on the 7th. :)

We are flying from london city airport on the morning of the cruise, it's a nice little airport in the docklands area of london with transport links from the centre of london. But they do use small city popper planes because the runway is short, but unlike heathrow it's only got one small terminal and not five large ones, so I surppose it depends what you perfer, but it suits us fine. I just wish we could have flown the day before the cruise but couldn't because of insurance issues. But the great thing about BA is not only do you get 23kg allowance there is no weight limit on your cabin bag providing you can lift it unaided into the overhead lockers ( can't say for certain this is the same at Heathrow

also to cliffy and chris&jeremy, the pub crawl is on the 2nd formal night right? wasn't that originally because it was the only sea day that didnt clash with anything else?
now that the palo high tea has been cancelled for the 13th (2nd sea day), would it make more sense to move the date? just wondering about the shall-we-say logistics of having a quite extensive pub crawl on a formal night?

I think this would be a good idea Karen as formal night in itself has a lot going on pre-dinner .... cocktails in the atrium and a lot of people wanting photos in their formal wear.

I was worrying about doing my own hair ... in fact, if I manage a drink in every bar I will be worrying about actually standing up :rotfl2:

You have lots of celebrate, I am sure it will be a Magical cruise for you.

My feather boa is molting too so I put it in a ziploc bag and it will stay in that until 5 mins before the CG meet...and after it will be in the nearest bin! :)

The BA hand luggage is the same for Heathrow. :thumbsup2

Can you take me & DH off the list please, we have a Palo High Tea reservation on the 13th so won't be able to do the pub crawl. :guilty:

My hair is easy. It is what I call 5 min Mommy hair. Everyone else calls it fake hair. LOL I have several hair pieces that I can just put on top of a bun and call it good. :cool1: I dont have anything like that for Kirsten.

I did not even open my second batch of feather boas after what my kitten did to the fist batch. I am still finding pink feathers in my closet:rotfl2:

I think you may still get lost because our feather boa's shed more than my cat everytime we touch them so I'm thinking there will be multiple trails of pink feathers throughout the ship!! :rotfl2:

We've been busy today haven't we ;)

Lots of posts to catch up on. It's been lovely here and I've been stuck in the house trying to finish off the FE and decorate the masks. As well as trying to fix our internet problems, plus the washing etc.

Claire that's fine with me regarding the CGM:)

Not long till we can hopefully get sorted with the Mixology & Mojito tastings.

I enjoy having a long a countdown to my holidays as it builds up the excitement, not saying that I would object to a surprise trip to WDW or a cruise (just saying incase Lee happens to read this ;) )

I'm usually ok up until Christmas as I love everything christmas but then after that I always struggle with winter and the early dark nights. :sad2:

I always think that 'Anticipation' is half the fun of any vacation. We were originally supposed to do the WBTA last year, but thought we could get more money together if we put it off so we rebooked for this year. Then in December Ed was laid off from his job :scared1: so this trip was in serious jeopardy. Fortunately his layoff turned out to be the best thing that could have happened, as he then had more time to put into building up our cleaning business again, and lately it has really skyrocketed :woohoo: Sooo, we've had a long two years anticipation of this cruise ;)

I too have that after Christmas low where I am done with winter once the tree has come down. In an ideal world, that's when it is time to head to California or Florida to get some Disney magic.

... so I imagine the post holiday blues will hit hard in November, coupled with my usual SAD we are in for a grumpy old winter

Sarah, I suffer from SAD too, do you use a light box of some sort, I find it really helps ... not as much as a vacation to some place sunny, but it still works.
