Maybe you're being pixie dusted!! Just tried ours and that worked ok

QUOTE=granmaz;41993276]I bought a Pac Safe hand bag last year and it is great.

.

Over the door shoe hanger either for in the bathroom for all the toiletries or outside for everyone's bits and bobs.

I do this too, I have a clear frosted one that you can see through, this way you don't have to dig around to find stuff.
I also like to have a travel size package or clorox wipes for things in your room, hotel and ship, telephones, remotes, toliet seats.

My money belt is the Pac Safe brand also.

Ooooh, perhaps today is the day after all!!!!!

but we already had our cabin, we are in cabin 6015 a sideways on deck six, very confused now lol :rotfl2:

panic over, they have cancelled an excursion we had booked for st maarten, so i think they shut our booking while they removed it from our list, sadly no pixie dust still the same cabin lol

I really don't know other than I think someone over on the FB page mentioned not being able to access something and she wondered if it meant DCL were downloading the room numbers. Perhaps that is what spread as a Chinese Whisper to be a definite for today!!!

Well, some on the threads said that on prev cruises 45 days seemed to be the time, so that's why people are hoping for today.

Having a great time so far, the weather has been good to us. Really hot the last 2 days and spent yesterday afternoon at the pool, so it was lovely. We are staying at the Beach Club Villas. Today is really overcast and muggy. It's always so hot in AK when it is like this, so decided to bail and come home for lunch :)

Glad to hear that you're having a great time Mary!
I've always wanted to stay at Beach Club - they do have the best pool :goodvibes

I think someone was thinking it was definitely today but I don't think it is such an exact science from previous cruises unfortunately. I think DCL like to tease!!;) I do hope it is soon for them as I understand how desperately they want to know!!!

Think it was Marilyn who asked? Wont be home soon, week or longer. Still problametic and new problems from fluidlack found. Seriously talking about cancelling. Time will tell. Truely apprec. the support.

Just in case, if need be; anyone willing to organise te candy swap? If so pm me. If needed, Ill be handing that over around aug 5th if any takers.

Sending all the pixie dust in the world to help you on the way to recovery :hug::hug::hug::hug: and buckets of positivity so that you CAN do this cruise. If you need someone to take over I will be happy to do it.

Yes I do like Advocaat, in fact I have a full unopened bottle in the cupboard....it reminds me of Christmas though, we can put some Christmas Carols on by the pool. :lmao:

ewwwwwww Advocaat .... second only to tomato juice in my list of vile concoctions .... even thinking about either of those makes me feel :sick: I used to have lots of problems when working as a bartender on cruise ships as so many people used to order drinks like Bloody Mary in the morning

Where can this be found as wallpaper for your computer? Might would start my day perfectly at work! :goodvibes

Right click on the image and click on "set as desktop background"

I may be changing the Capt over to my favourite ship in anticipation real soon .......

Not sure why I have not thought to share this story with you lot before but just thought I would now.

Before we opened up our childminding from home I was a nanny as was Annemarie (this is how we met).
Well many moons ago I decided I would like to work on a cruise ship with the littlies, and low and behold Disney had a new ship they were getting ready for, the ship was called Magic !

So I called over to Florida and alas interviews in London had already taken place and onto round two.
Never mind I thought, but then I get a call to say we would have put you through due to your experience so be in London tomorrow.

So I went and did all the maths tests ect and waited for a call back which then consisted of a panel interview. I was offered the job and went for a briefing of the terms of the contract. Money was just not enough (I was on a very high wage due to the calibre of people I worked for) and although I could prob have dealt with this I didn't like the idea I might also have to call bingo lol.

So years later I am finally making the "magic" happen for me and wonder if they will let me take a nosy in the nursery.

Funny how things work out. Do you ever regret not taking the Disney job ?

No I don't Regret not taking it, I wouldn't have met Annemarie and she really has made me have so many happy memories and shown me what love and life really have to offer.

Also my nanny work was very rewarding especially way back then.
Glad to finally get to go on the magic though feels like an Oprah full circle moment.

Bet you lot are glad it's Annemarie that posts here and not mushy old me lol

So sorry to hear this Jacqueline, I will keep you in my prayers and hope that it doesn't have to come down to cancelling. Wishing you healthier days ahead of you.

I know this is off topic a bit, but I just couldn't resist posting some pictures of our favourite spots around Crimea, Ukraine (where we live).

It looks so lovely, you are so lucky to have the experience of living there. Thanks for sharing the pics with us.

I sometimes do not order a main course, if I order an app & a salad. Or, I'll have the app as my main. I have absolutely no problem leaving what I don't want - the starving children in Somolia are not going to be better fed because I ate what I didn't need.

I do the same thing Linda, I don't think the portions are huge, it's just that there are so many courses to the meal.

Marilyn, maybe Disney has made the desserts smaller because that's what most people want, especially when they would like to taste more than one dessert. Ed and I have been known to share a sampler before, when we were so full that dessert wouldn't have otherwise been an option. There's only so many chocolate sauced plates of nothing you can get on one cruise  (for new cruisers pay no attention the previous statement :goodvibes)

I was wondering where you were, glad things are ok just busy. :)

I am sure I would love the Pacific Northwest, but maybe not when it's snowing. ;) We only get a little over here in comparison but I don't like it.

But snow can be so pretty

and so much fun

Ice storms are pretty

but not always fun

Ah ok, I was going to say if you get stuck I could get it for you. :thumbsup2

Aww, thanks Sweetie

I have been trying to read the whole thread to not repeat but I don't think I have seen this question yet... For those of you who have cruised on DCL or on this length of cruise is there a list of MUST HAVES that I need to make sure to pack? TIA

--Americans especially tend to speak louder and slower when they speak to foreigners. This attracts attention, not to mention annoys the locals, but I have seen some people who you could hear about a block away and then they were targeted. Now, I don't speak Spanish, let alone Catalan, but we just spoke in more moderate tones to each other and to waiters, etc. We try to learn some phrases, etc. and just try to blend.

I had a little chuckle after reading this  I lovingly call Ed a loud mouth Yank ... well he is a little loud, but he seems to yell in comparison to me as I am very quiet spoken. Which sometimes is misunderstood as being shy, but really my voice doesn't go that loud ... unless you are talking about screaming ... On our first cruise one of the CM's said "come on I need you to make some noise" After getting just a dull roar from the crowd, he said whoever makes the loudest noise gets a prize. I let out a blood curdling scream, and our tablemates jaws dropped to the ground, they just couldn't believe a noise that loud had come out of me :lmao: Needless to say I won the prize :rolleyes1 It's just what they say; it's the quiet ones you have to watch out for.

I like what Rick Steves has to say about touring in Barca - if you stop to watch something, put your hands in your pockets before someone else does.

Great advice :thumbsup2

Good morning Trannies.

I hope they are issuing those cabin numbers for you all today. :wizard:

I think you should get one......I've got a plain pink one exactly like that, that i'm bringing for our Pimms. ;)

I love Pimms, was introduced to it at a friends wedding in London. This picture was taken last year in Dover on EBTA. Of course had fish and chips with it.:banana:

hi, it was the pinel island one in st maarten, we where looking forward to it as well, but never mind we have booked another one now

We got ours from Bank of America this weekend. *Flower* email me tomorrow if you want to work something out for that. We had a rate of $1.50 I think (my DH bought them and you know how specific men can be) We got 200 Euros which is about $300. They charged us a $7 processing fee. We figure that we have already paid for the hotel in advance. We are not huge shoppers and even if we do shop, I would rather put it on my Capital One card (I don't like walking around with a lot of money...lost or stolen money can ruin a trip real quick). I seem to remember that I used Euros in Gibraltar last year without a problem but again I didn't buy much.

I agree with whomever posted about the rates going up. I was thinking the same thing myself which is why I had my DH go and pay for them this weekend. I have a feeling it is only going to go up from here.:scared1:

Thanks for the help today with our currency purchase! Hopefully the repairperson showed back up to fix your AC. Poor DHs brain was definitely on overload today.....

Happy Tuesday!

As mentioned earlier today, I was able to find a local company to do our pub crawl t-shirts as-is and they even matched the online price I was getting.

For those of you that ordered a shirt(s), you should be receiving an email form me momentarily asking for payment via Paypal and for you to provide your shipping address.

Thanks!
- Chris

So I guess when Mary was talking about snowballs she wasn't talking about these ...
