There isn't a Cheesecake Factory in Disney Quest now Sarah. We never got there prior to it closing. We have had the cheesecake up in Universal at the bakery there though. Yum!!

Oh right ..... glad that we didn't bother going in there now :rotfl2:

None in St Augustine either .... no worries, there will be something equally as delicious I'm sure.

You could ask over on trip advisor. A local might know some good eateries.

The Cheesecake Factory left Disney Quest quite a while ago. If it makes you feel better, Sarah, it was a limited service one--didn't have the full menu. As far as I know, the closest one to WDW is at the Millenia Mall.

We flew Air Baltic 3 years ago to get from Ukraine to Lithuania. The flight was awesome. Very comfortable seats and they even had gifts for our DD. Service was amazing! I'd fly with them again in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the feedback! That is so good to know! I'm very tempted to go to Finland now, and just got an open invitation from a distant cousin to visit anytime. :)
What part of the Ukraine do you live? I visited Yalta. I went solo but with a group of nurses for a transcultural nursing tour of the USSR for 2 weeks back in 1986. We originally had a group of 35 and were supposed to go to Kiev but then Chernobyl happend and pretty much everyone cancelled. The company offered a terrific deal if we went and routed us to Yalta instead. We wound up with 4 nurses going, and 2 moms and the leader. And had a guide in each city! It was an amazing trip and we got to do so much more as a small group! Would love to visit that region again one day! :cloud9:

Will do :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Well I finally heard from Taryn .... she is fine but tired ... has only had one day off this week.

It is tough at such a young age, they aren't used to working so much and on their feet all the time. Hopefully if she gets a couple of days off this week she will have some proper time to recover.

Hey all!

A friend of mine told me about this forum when I told her that we just booked this cruise as our first disney cruise!

We're going without the kids (me and my wife, both 37) - my wife is the Disney nut of the family, so as we talked about doing a trans-atlantic cruise, and I came across this one, she told me to just stop looking and book it, so I did.

It will be our third cruise, but first trans-atlantic and first on Disney. We booked a guaranteed verandah for this cruise, and are spending 2 nights in Barcelona before the cruise.

Look forward to reading through the massive amount of posts about this cruise and get to know other Disney fans!

:welcome:

We are Leanne, DH Ken and DD Morgan (9). This is also our first Disney cruise. We are from Alberta, Canada, but we live in Ukraine.

I am so glad you heard from her. As a mom who has a daughter who traveled abroad and even you KNOW they are OK, you still worry. That's our job:rotfl::rotfl: I can just see it now :rolleyes1:rolleyes1, she would say "Mom". I am sure she will read this post :surfweb: Even though she is not going with me, she has her own family now, she is a super Dis-er and keeps me informed on everything :love:

So glad you heard from Taryn! My DS 14 is getting ready to leave for 2 weeks to Southern Sweden for the World Scout Jamboree on Tuesday! I've been worried all week and he hasn't left yet! :rotfl: You are so right, Evelyn! That is our job to worry! Its in the job description! :)

You worry even more about your kids being away when you hear about tragic events and atrocities like those unfolding in Norway just now .... our hearts go out to the parents of those young people, and all of those involved. :sad2::sad1::sad2::sad1: The world is sometimes a very sad place :sad1:

Yes, that has been all over the news here. :sad2::sad2: Has me even worrying more since he is going to a neighboring Scandanavian country.

Our does too:sad1:

I am not watching any TV today as I am trying to get the FE done. What I did see this morning was heartbreaking.

wait a minute - the cheesecake factory does food..... :rotfl2:

never been in there for anything other than cake. one slice fills me up, let alone having a full meal beforehand!

We've only been once, we skipped starters, had a main course each which was huge and even then we were too full for cheesecake so took a slice each to go and ate it the next day.

I can't believe we failed to make a trip to the Cheesecake Factory on our visit to Orlando recently ... we didn't make it to Disney Quest and I couldn't remember where the other one was, so after eyeing up your cheesecake photos and drooling I still never managed to get there. I wonder if there is one in St Augustine ... time for google !!

We went to the one at the Mall @ Millenia, I think that is the nearest one to Disney.

Will do :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Being from Oslo, Norway this really struck home for me. I've lived away from Norway for the last 18 years, but its still home. Such a tragic event indeed.

Thanks :)

I'll give mickey a big kiss for everyone!!

Sue I'll check out a couple of mickey cups in DTD :thumbsup2

Have a great time at WDW! We can't wait to go after the cruise.

We actually live about an hour and a half northwest of Yalta in a small town called Bachisarai. There is a couple of tourist sites here so maybe you came here on an "excursion". We have the Khan's Palace and Monastary in a rock hill and a cave city called Chufut Kalay. Ring any bells?

We love Yalta, it's our favourite place to go for a bit of a break. Actually I think we are going there next weekend with some American friends that live in Simferopol. Can't you tell I love this place? I could go on forever about here, but I won't. :rotfl:

I am so sorry to hear about all of the loss of life. My heart goes out to the people of Norway. I have been to Oslo a couple of times. It is a lovely city. My thoughts and prayers are with your countrymen today.

If anyone has any Gibraltar questions, I'll have a go at answering them. I used to live ther euntil August last year so I'm sure I could help with the touristy type questions and some do's and dont's of where to go, eat etc! :)
