i think we must be kindred spirits claire (literally!) :rotfl:
cant drink that much anymore but when i worked on holiday parks a few years ago i used to drink baileys by the pint. four doubles plus ice will fill a pint glass quite nicely :rotfl2:

:rotfl: Glad i'm not the only one.

Totally agree about the getting older bit too. I don't drink nowhere near as much now as I used to when I was younger, i'd never get out out of bed the next day!

i'm going to get some coffee baileys from the airport shop before we leave the UK, personally i cant stand the stuff (hate anything coffee) but the people we're staying with after the cruise love it. told her i'd take her a bottle as they cant get it over there easily

I don't like he coffee flavoured one either, but put some original baileys in a cup of coffee and it's lovely. :thumbsup2 I don't like the mint version either, the caramel is ok but I just buy the original. :)

Ooooh I just thought of another thing to add to the Morrisons shopping list.....a bottle of Disaronno...then I can raid the drinks station for ice & top it up with lemonade...that's my afternoon by the pool sorted. :thumbsup2

Thank you for all the kind offers :)

Karen if you wouldn't mind checking that it is hard water tea bags and pick up a box for me today that would be great. I can let you know my address etc for posting.

Claire Hun, if you could stick a pack in your case for September, I would be eternally grateful, 2 weeks without tea would kill me, especially first thing in the morning after drinking all this alcohol :lmao:

Another thing on the shopping list for Gib, we need to pick up a bottle of blackcurrant cassis :thumbsup2

Kir Royales :lovestruc

OMG we are all going to be pickled after this cruise. I will need to go into detox and drink water for a week to cleanse my liver :lmao::lmao:

Disarono :cloud9:

Shopping list - preventative measures - Many packets of Resolve :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Will do, i'll get one with my food shopping next week & stick it in my packing box. :)

I have got cassis on my list too. :rotfl2: Maybe we should share a bottle my dear neighbour, as we won't need too much.

Yes many boxes of Resolve and Nurofen! :rotfl2:

Welcome to the newcomers!

There was a Dutch captain on the Wonder in October. I was only partially listening to an announcement by the captain one day and thought to myself "boy he really sounds Dutch." Didn't think much more about it until I was in the atrium waiting for them to let us debark and glanced up on the monitor and they were showing profiles of the ship's officers. The slide for the captain came up and, sure enough, he was from Holland (either Eindhoven or Enkhuisen...don't remember which).

Grin, you (in general) definately can recognize a Dutch accent anywhere if you ask me. :)

This is starting to sound..... funnily creepy. Enkhuizen is almost our backyard and both our villages have had a very strong connection since centuries. It wouldn't surprise me that if he ended up being from Enkhuizen at least somebody in our surroundings actually would know this captain. This has gotten me so curious! ;)

Burnice, good to finally read something from you again! I was about to hunt you down and here you are. Sorry to hear about your brother, sending a dose of :wizard: his way! Congrats on getting your ressies.

For those of you that continue to have problems with the DCL website; have you tried clearing up on your cookies etc? I have no problem what so ever and can log into my reservation and do whatever I want. Has been that way all week, apart from about a 4 hour window on sunday which was at the announcened downtime.

And those loving chocolate covered strawberries; why wait? Buy some good cookingchocolate and let the fun begin! It is beyond easy to do and with good chocolate and ripe strawberries you'll find some scrumptious things being made by your own hand. Hint; very easy dessert when you have a (fancy) dinner. Loved by almost everybody, gets lots of compliments and can't go wrong. Or a variation; get yourself a small fondueset and enjoy a nice chocolate fondue every once in a while. :goodvibes

Who was it again that has a supermarket-loving-radar? Was it Jeremy or Chris? I'm wondering if any of those lovers out there have any good tips for me when in Orlando. At the moment my standard tends to be to end up at the Walmart supercenter just off of the 535, but I'm wondering if I'm not missing any possible to me unknown pearl. I'm a sucker for a huge store with a huge assortment, can spend hours there. Also each year my list of what others want me to bring back (and I am taking along for myself  ) gets longer and longer so I'm always open to suggestions for other possible grocery shopping heavens.

Mary, got your tea, can you PM me your address?

I've made chocolate covered strawberries many times. :goodvibes Cooking chocolate doesn't taste as nice though so I always melt a bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk to dip them in. :cloud9:

I usually do Walmart too but in February we went to Publix which made a nice change. :)

Oh and it's definately the hard water ones. Our water down here is so hard it comes out the tap with a black eye :rotfl:

You've either got a weird taste ;) or haven't found the right chocolate yet. Have you ever tried Callebaut? Belgian brand, beyond yum.

Found the same, but somehow felt as if we had a bit less variation options with Publix.

LMAO!!!!! Too True!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've not heard of Callebaut.....

The UK cooking chocolate reminds me of Herseys. :rotfl2:

You might want to life my way for a day or two? Got a supermarket across the plaza here, and I've got my own staff to do my groceries which I don't have to pay for out of my own pocket. :rolleyes1

Wow I would love that!

The nearest supermarket to me is a 20 minute drive.....unless I go to Waitrose which is a 10 minute drive but very overpriced!

Ah that explains a lot. ;) Have you ever had a looking in bakeshops? The better brands aren't available overhere in the groceryshops etc. but I need to get in specialty shops. If you ever can get your hands on some Callebaut; you will have a new love. But then again, is there really any Belgian chocolate that has a faul taste? :confused3

I will definitely keep a look out for it next time I go to a bakeware shop. :thumbsup2

I've been reading on so many different sites/ forums etc that Morrisons will be closed on 12th sept that I just had to call them myself to check and was confirmed yes it's open they are only closed on the 10th.:yay:

If you want to I could bring you a sample baggie, but not sure if you want to run the risk of falling in love with something that might not be easily available? There is a 2.5 kg bag sitting in my bakingcloset as one of the standard ingredients I can't live without so it's easy enough for me to put some into a ziplock if you'ld want.

We're going on the 3rd year of low carb eating and while my weightloss has stalled lately, I'm off blood pressure med, off diabetes med, and off two asthma meds - which is HUGE - not only for health, but for the wallet!

:cheer2: :cheer2: Way to go, Linda!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:
Getting off those meds is awesome! Keep up the good work. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Thanks, Karen, for the belly laugh! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thank goodness for that.....I really didn't want another debate over that subject again!!!! :rotfl: (Incase you missed we've had that discussion about 3 times ending with lots of us calling & emailing them)

That would be awesome, thanks! :goodvibes In the meantime if I see it over here then i'll try it & let you know so you need not bring any.
