yummy!!! :cloud9: something else to add to the ever growing shopping list for Morrisons.

isnt that why we're all taking suitcases!!

you know some supermarkets have those huge locker type things where you can put your trolley if you're going to go to the cafe or somewhere. i think we're going to have to put the cases in there while we shop. otherwise we're going to look like right dodgy people. will have security following us round the whole shop!:rotfl:

Welcome to all new cruisers.

Have been MIA for a while, it is the end of the financial year here in Australia and have been entering data into accounts for 2 small companies. Just finished and glad to report everything reconciles so apart from a few queries that need to be sorted out I will be able to roll over the figures for the new financial year on Friday.:cheer2::cheer2:

On top of that, renovations on the house are still going on, which normally would not be a problem except I work from home.

Thought for a few weeks that the folks were going to cancel on me, my youngest brother was not very well, but it now looks like we are still on track for the cruise.

For the newbies, my name is Burnice, travelling with my folks (Ron and Lil) who are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary and birthdays.

Managed to get brunch and high tea at Palo that I wanted, only the excursions to be sort out.

Still 15 more pages to get through but all the talk about chocolate and booze, think it is time to have a break, get a Baileys and a piece of chocolate and sit down and watch tennis.

Burnice

Sarah and Lauren,

I hope Taryn will be able to join us--I'd love to meet her.

Couple of suggestions: If we decide to meet at Animal Kingdom, how about at the tables outside Tusker House. Even when it's busy, there are usually a few open ones outside. If we prefer to meet at night at Downtown Disney, there are tables outside near the lake by the Margarita Bar. No need to drink, unless you want to, but we can at least find each other. Lauren, have you visited the Mickey fountain at Downtown Disney? Any two-year-old would enjoy cooling off and playing there--if you want to be sure she has a swimsuit along. Really, lots of kids (and adults) run through the fountain even when wearing clothes.

If you prefer to meet somewhere else, it's fine with me. I am available all day July 5th. Kevin is flying in from California on the 3rd, so if he doesn't have plans, I'll bring him along too.

In case you haven't heard from those of us in the area--it is really, really hot this year. Tarzan movie hot. Drink lots of water and keep a poncho handy.

See you real soon,
Karen

 Burnice glad to see you back on here. Enjoy your chocolate & Bailey's break. :)

We'll need to have a few Claire..... just a thought..... we should buy a bottle of Bailey's and a can of squirty cream from Morrisons :lovestruc:lovestruc

DH was so switched on on the last cruise, he borrowed one of the plastic coffee mugs from Topsiders and used that, rather than using the disposable cups provided at the drinks station

You guys are all fantastic with the work and inventiveness on these SM and FE gifts :worship: I wish I had the time and the luggage space to do it :thumbsup2

Lol, great minds think alike! As soon as you posted that Coffee Baileys comment this morning I added Baileys to my Morrisons shopping list! :rotfl2:

This cruise just keeps getting better! :lmao:

I love Bailey's - never mind the coffee :rotfl:Jools and myself have been known to have a glass or 2 :goodvibes

yummy!!! :cloud9: something else to add to the ever growing shopping list for Morrisons.

I've been known to have a glass or two too, although it has been known for it to be in a pint glass. :rotfl2:

2 glasses Michelle !! When the bottle gets opened in our house, it doesn't usually survive the evening, everyone loves it too much :lovestruc

How unorganised am I, I hadn't even thought of my Morrisons shopping list yet  Stevie and I have discussed sticking £100 in the back of his wallet specifically for Morrisons :lmao::lmao:

The strawberrries were gorgeous Karen, white chocolate and milk chocolate ones, I popped in and got some every afternoon :cloud9:

Now that sounds like an idea too :lovestruc Our DD does that with the squirty cream already at home, little monkey, it never lasts 5 minutes when I buy a can :lovestruc:rotfl2:

While I remember, can I ask a favour from someone in England. I am always desperate for a decent cuppa when at WDW. Someone suggested to me that Yorkshire Tea does a hard water version. I have checked the supermarkets here and no-one stocks them as we have soft water.

Does anyone know if their supermarket stocks them in their area and pick a pack up for me and I would reimburse cost and postage? Much appreciated if anyone could manage :worship:

I still have a opened bottle of Bailey's in the fridge left over from Christmas. I just haven't had the time to drink it....:confused3

We only drink Yorkshire tea in this house Mary. I would be more than happy to get some for you. I've only seen small boxes in Tesco where I shop.

We did warn them Peggy when we rang them:lmao:

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Getting back in the routine of being home after a sojourn to the mid west last week. Lots of time with family (dh's), doing genealogical research, and FIVE visits with internet friends while on the road. GOOD TIMES.

. . .

Sounds good to me!!! Let me know if you're looking for any new low-carb recipes - I have a few that are lifesavers. Too bad we couldn't get them to make them for us on the ship :)

I love to meet other low-carbers as most people look at me and what I eat as absolutely bonkers :upsidedow

Always looking for new low-carb recipes - i've lost 55 pounds low carbing and would like to lose another 55. My strategy when we eat out is to allow myself 3 bites of my dh's dessert if it's special, or ONE Lindt ball after lunch, if I've been good. It seems to keep my cravings in check.

We're going on the 3rd year of low carb eating and while my weightloss has stalled lately, I'm off blood pressure med, off diabetes med, and off two asthma meds - which is HUGE - not only for health, but for the wallet!

Here's a shout back from a couple of fellow low-carbers! Stan has lost 35+ pounds and I've lost 25 (with 20 more to go as well) and we are making it a way of life. We realize on the cruise some allowances must be made--there is a Palo chocolate souffle in my future, after all-- but on the whole we will be trying. (By "trying" I mean I won't have my customary cruise fill of 5 rolls and butter with dinner.)

I thought I'd encourage you by applauding your loss and your maintenance of same!! Very inspiring!!

Perhaps we can Zumba down the ship's halls to shift some weight--and cause everyone else to want what we've been drinking :rotfl2:

I'd try Zumba, if there was a class on the ship. Don't mind so much looking foolish in front of total strangers,

Happy Day, all!

PS. Claire - could you put me on the scrapbook list for "PIRATES", please? I have them all done and packed to go.

:
I've been known to have a glass or two too, although it has been known for it to be in a pint glass. :rotfl2:

i think we must be kindred spirits claire (literally!) :rotfl:
cant drink that much anymore but when i worked on holiday parks a few years ago i used to drink baileys by the pint. four doubles plus ice will fill a pint glass quite nicely :rotfl2:

Well done on the weight loss. :thumbsup2

I will note you as Pirate's. pirate:

I think I am going to be "Mix & Match" with a little of everything as scrapbooking supplies are so limited in the UK.

i'm going to get some coffee baileys from the airport shop before we leave the UK, personally i cant stand the stuff (hate anything coffee) but the people we're staying with after the cruise love it. told her i'd take her a bottle as they cant get it over there easily

i'm off out to asda in a minute, i'll get you a box if i can find it. asda website says they do it so will see if its in our store

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: And from the sound of it, there will be a LOT of us! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

there's going to be a gang of suitcase wielding shoppers descending on morrisons. they'll probably think we're squatters trying to take over the place!

michelle, you're just letting the side down now! 6 months and still not finished? find some time! there's always time for baileys :rotfl2:
