Had a great time at the Peter Gabriel concert - he was with the New Blood Orchestra. Great sound and visual effects! :cool1:

Got back from Toronto today and then headed out to see POTC4 in IMAX 3D. Never get tired of watching Johnny! :thumbsup2

Enjoyed reading all of your posts about chocolate :) DS loves Cadbury's Buttons and my Mum usually brings a huge quantity over with her each time she visits this side of the pond. However, Cadbury's Buttons have recently appeared on the shelves in Canada and the packages state they are an imported product. DS though insists they don't taste the same as the ones bought in the UK, whereas DH and I think they do. So next time my Mum is over, we are going to do a Cadbury Buttons test taste challenge with one packet bought from the UK and one bought here, and, without telling my son which is which, we'll see if he can detect any difference in taste between the 2!
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

BTW, the Bountys that we can buy in stores here are imported from the UK. So I do occasionally indulge;)

Update: Here is where we are with the t-shirts so far.

We are still finalizing the design but I wanted to pass this on to get feedback.

NOTE: I have asked him to add "2011" below the words "pub crawl" so that will be reflected in the final design.

I will have more info on ordering shirts very soon!

(See anything hidden in the bubbles?) :thumbsup2

Love Love Love the design. My DH and I would like to join in on the Pub Crawl. Who do we need to contact to get on the list?

Thanks,

Wowzer, I need to kick my planning in gear and start creating! You remind me of folks who have all their Christmas shopping done in October, lol. Very inspiring!

I am so happy she is settled in, it must be a relief :) My poor Texas brain can't imagine how to pronounce Prestatyn, guess I'll learn when I meet you in person!

believe me, last year i was still shopping a week before christmas. with the FE gifts, i've just been REALLY bored recently so got started on them.
oh and its pronounces press-tat-in

oh yes... buttons are the best.... and buttons easter eggs the very best... better than posh chocolate easter eggs anyday... and best of all I still have one tucked away in the garage and I think I may just have to go and find it....too much talk of chocolate

you've STILL got easter eggs left? you must either have really good self control, or you put it somewhere and forgot about it til now!

If anything is missing - I lost about half of this in a bad keystroke.

hazelandannie - "We are Hazel and Annie and have spent the past 10 years or so taking our holidays in WDW. We were due to take our holiday in California this year but that fell through, and after spending an entire week sulking and trawling the internet for different holidays i came across the WBTA!

We have never been on any kind of cruise before so this is all completely new to us, so we thought what better way to start than the Disney way!!

We are not going with kids but are just big versions of kids ourselves" - from Kent, UK

jsassy - "Hello everyone. ... I am Jerry and my wife is Jan and we were on the April 2010 back to back EBT and Mediterranean. If anyone else was on there you may remember we brought our own Preacher. They can't make it this year though." - from Hawkinsville, GA

we now have 18 people arriving somewhere between 9.25am and 11am. thinking of a pick up time of about 12pm to allow everyone to get through customs and immigration. journey should take about 25-30 minutes according to google maps, so we should be at the terminal by approx 12.30pm

Sign Up for Activities

Okay, folks, I hate to be difficult about this, but

You MUST have sent me a PM with your information (as described on Page 1 and in Noel's Welcome Wagon message) in order to be included in the FE!!!!

I have received several messages and requests from people who believe they signed up because they mentioned it in the thread or on Facebook, but those posts are too easy to miss, which is why I have asked everyone who wishes to participate to PLEASE send me a PM (or a Visitor message if you have fewer than 10 posts).

Thank you for your understanding about this.

FE Groups are Ready

PFlamingo - Finally. I've checked and rechecked and I think I've got it right. If you are participating in the FE, please click on the link below to request an invitation to join the group. You will need to create a Google account first, if you don't already have one. I'll confirm your request, and "share" the FE lists document with you (once I figure out how to do that). There is a question you will need to answer (it's an easy one) to help confirm that you are who you claim to be.

WBTA FE 2011

Once you have access to the document PLEASE READ the page at the beginning of the document. It has some info you need to know. - Pat

Candy swappers, attention!!!!

goofieslonglostsis - "I'm still getting PM's off people signing up, great! This slowly does bring up the question about groupsize. That's why I want to know the opinion of participants about max. group size. Which numbers are you still comfortable participating in? At the moment we've got 14 staterooms signed up for a total of 37 participants in varying ages. If there are enough participants that want to keep the groups smallish, I can devide up into 2 groups, add a 3rd if needed etc. Like with the FE you can then decide if you wish to participate in one or more groups. As usual; signing up only counts after sending me a PM to do so and receiving a confirmation reply from me." - Jacqueline

PIN ORDER CUT-OFF IS JUNE 30

birkner - "I have added Pin Payment info the the fist page post on Lanyard Pins. Details are below or you can click on the link.

Here is how to pay.

Please mark the payment as a gift to me on PayPal at birkner@needinfo.com so the only fees you may have to pay is convert to Euros if this is not your principal currency.

Be sure you put your DIS name in the notes so I know where the payment came from and can properly credit you.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to PM me. - Noel

Kids Thread
melonz - My son Ethan 10 , has made a post in kids thread He'd really like to "meet" some kids before we go. So if your kids like hotdogs and burgers, Ethan is the one to talk to.

BTW Ethan is posting under my name as it's a pain in the neck to register him as he's under 13. I WILL check his posts though."

Transport from Port Canaveral to DTD

"I checked to see how much it would cost to rent a car from the Port to the Airport (with a detour to Downtown Disney or Harry Potter) and it was about $80. Then I checked a rental directly from the airport and it was about $20."

Check-in Airline Luggage Onboard

"Appreciate the information, but I was more asking about the option DCL has for checking your luggage with Delta straight to airport. I know that normally you would pick it up on the pier after disembarking--go through customs etc--but I have never had the option to pre-check luggage on ship before getting to airport--which according to what I am reading on DCL you have that option. My question was more--has anyone done that? What is the process? Do you do it AFTER you claim the luggage in the port/customs etc, or does it go from the ship to the airport (meaning you leave it outside and do not see it until you land in your destination)? "

Electrical converters

Disney Magic is US voltage/plugs - check your pre-cruise hotel to see if you need a converter/adapter - especially those with CPAP machines

Is anyone else stopping at the same hotel as us? Well I do know of another family actually, but it would be great to have a few more. They do a 10% discount on the cruise rate. Close to Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya and it has a pool!!! We stayed fairly close to this area last year and it is a great spot.

Hypnotist

"Interesting story - The hypnotist that was on our cruise last summer lives near us in a neighboring subdivision. My daughter attended the overnight Lock-In held after her high school Graduation and commented on the Hynotist that performed that night. As she was telling some of the things he had done, my husband made a comment about that sounding a lot like what had happened with the Hypnotist on the cruise. So, we looked him up, and it was the same guy!

He's very good and puts on a very entertaining show. He had people believing they had "lost" their belly buttons, and that they were watching a (porn) flick that they later realized starred their parents."

In a related story, her husband "wasn't" hynotised:
Here's one photo of my hubby, aka Barry White, in Rockin' Bar D!
He is virtually un-embarrassable!!! :lmao::lmao:

Alcohol Sales at Barcelona Port Terminal

Fontabel - Having just come from Barcelona, I can say that Terminal A where our ship was docked had a nice set of stores inside the terminal, including a duty free liquor store and a small store of sundries and I think snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. There was also a store of drug-store like items.

Unfortunately because NCL charged a whopping $15 per bottle brought on board, we did not use the shops. I cannot say if they are in all 3 of the Barcelona terminals (but I would think so)." - Amanda

We had friends go out of Barcelona on the Magic last year and they stocked up at the terminal.

EXCURSIONS

ATTENTION SCUBA DIVERS

If you are interested in DIVING in Tortola. Please PM me.

DCL no longer offers the diving excursion on Tortola. I have contacted a dive shop directly and they are willing to work with us. I need to know if any one else is interested. We have 4 people so far and need at least two more.

The quote I have is for a two tank two site boat dive, it is $115.00pp with 10.00pp gear rental. However, if you are only interested in a one tank dive let me know and I can go back and let them know our interest and get a quote for that. A one tank dive would most likely be a beach dive. We would have a local guide with either option. You must be a certified diver to do this excursion.

Please PM me and let me know if you are interested in a 1 or 2 tank dive, how many are in your party or with any questions. - Nickole - nick262

Tortola/JVD Catamaran

MandyGirl - I received a reply from the charter company for our DIS excursion, and he said it is just a few feet from the beach and swimming not required - suitable for non-swimmers and infants. I have his reply quoted below with some embedded pics from the website. If you need to cancel or utilize a dinghy to go to shore, please PM me ASAP as I need to keep a separate list due to capacity purposes. Thanks!

Updated on front page:

There is a dock to board the catamaran in Tortola, but...
NOTE: There is NO DOCK at White Bay Beach... you use the steps/ladder at the back of the catamaran to go ashore via water... hence the name SOGGY DOLLAR BAR. For pics, please see the linked websites mentioned above or this pic to see the short distance from boat to beach. Here is a picture of the ladder to go back into catamaran since no dock.

From my contact at Tortola Charters:

"We have non-swimmers and guests with somewhat limited mobility on this
trip all of the time and it is never a problem". Because this excursion will have two boats, one will have a dinghy IF needed. If you have mobility concerns going up/down the ladder, please PM me to put your party on the catamaran that "has a power dinghy that can take them right to the shoreline if they prefer that instead of swimming in the few yards."

Please note in their description of this excursion on their website, "(This tour is suitable for all ages including infants and non-swimmers – snorkeling is done from the beach and is optional)" which is different from the description of the Virgin Gorda Baths excursion (more strenuous).

Please PM me if you need to be on the catamaran with a dinghy due to this. We have specific numbers of capacity on each catamaran, so it is limited and I have to keep a list of who is on it. First come, first listed. (And honestly, coming from someone who got into a dinghy in a wedding dress after my beach wedding on St John... I would say it is easier to wade in the water and climb the ladder if you can. A dinghy is not the most stable stepping in/out of)

A few people have recently asked for advice on excursions in gibraltar.

Myself and Helen have visited quite a bit in the past 5 years (even getting married there) and this is what I have found.

We have looked to do the dolphin excursion but when speaking with a booking agent on 2 occasions we have been advised that the chances of seeing dolphins on that day. Was not too good, it may be just our bad luck, but did not fancy paying for just a basic boat trip. One other point is that they charge for infants regardless of age, Grace was only 12 months at the time and from experience this is the only company I have found charging for children so young.

In regards to the different options at the top of the rock there is obviously the cable car which charges £7.50 for a single journey and £9 for a return journey (it is a long walk back down, not sure why anyone would buy a single!!) this only entitles you to see the monkey enclosure and nothing else.

Other attractions at the top are St Michaels cave, the Great siege tunnels and the moorish castle which in my opinion are well worth doing. The cost of this with the cable car company is £19 for adults and £12 for children. This option involves quite a walk between the sites of around 3 miles for the round trip and it can be quite tiring as it is very hilly.

An alternative option is a minibus tour, there are numerous drivers touting for business at the border with gib/Spain, on the main street and also at the base of Europa point as you go up towards the cable cars (trying to take business from the cable cars). From memory the trip includes entry to the top of the rock and all the attractions mentioned above and costs around £15. The benefit with this is that you are taken to all the sites and there is minimal walking, the tour takes about 3 hours but if a group of 8 book the whole bus I'm sure the driver will negotiate. I'm sure there will be drivers on the dock trying to overcharge so it may be better to book at one of the other sites.

We did the trip in our own car and for entry for 2 adults and a car it came to about £20 for entry to all the attractions (£10 for the car and £5 per adult) So the minibus tour is quite reasonable.

A helpful website is http://www.gibraltarinfo.gi/gibraltar-tickets.aspx which is for the cable car company but gives a good description of the different attractions

Hope this is of help.

If you have any queries please feel free to PM me

Paul

KrisannB - "my few cents in here too - we did the Disney excursion on the 2010 EBTA and it was nice, we saw lots of dolphins BUT this year on teh EBTA some of the Diser's went and they saw NOTHING - BUT before dinner that night on Deck 4 we were all out on watching as we were sailing from Gilbraltor - we first saw 3 whales and then about 10 minutes later so many dolphins! I have pictures my husband took of them - it was awesome - we stayed there watching them for over an hour!"

After reading Paul's excellent post about Gibraltar, I would be very interested in sharing a minibus tour. Have I missed anywhere where someone is trying to organize one of these? I have a funky knee that sometimes lets me walk for miles, and sometimes makes it a pain to walk at all--getting old sucks.

Kevin & I would be happy to share a bus, and if anyone knows the best site to arrange for one beforehand, please let me know.

Thanks,
Karen (6 of 6--I didn't want to claim any particular number, but I think I'm the sixth one to join the bunch)

Horseback Riding on St Maarten

karentan & binkytell are signed up for 9am; pickup at port @ 8:20
"We booked with st Maarten cruise excursions, if you google it you should be able to find them. It's through a stables called lucky stables and you do get to take the horses into the sea

http://www.stmaartencruiseexcursions.com/

finally,

ON the EBTA when we were in Barcelona, we found ourselves in the middle of a shoot out between police and protesters... gun shots going off all around us... over 100 people hurt. NO I did not feel safe and cancelled my hotel reservations to stay there for a few days.... I wanted out of there asap. I hope the protest are calming down there but heard they are still protesting.

OMD!! I spent the day driving to Orlando (okay, half the day - the other half was spent packing to drive to Orlando), and when I finally get on my mom's computer, I find something like 8 pages to catch up on!!

No way I can multiquote everything, so...

Yes, we are obsessed with all those things. Is there a problem?

Chocolate - on a bad day, even Hershey's is acceptable, though Ghiradelli is better. Godiva is awesome, but a bit out of my daily budget. No question European chocolate is better than ours.

Chocolate in Spain - Dennis and I love dark chocolate, so we'll be hunting down some of that chocolate/churro combination.

Safety in Spain - not going to worry about it. Already taken some basic precautions (thank you, PacSafe!) so I'm ready for it. Besides, no matter what I put in my purse, it feels like I'm carrying bricks - even if it's just kleenex. One smack upside the head with the thing and the thief is out for the count. My purses defy all laws of physics.

Spanish cuisine (someone mentioned it a few hundred pages back) - We'll probably try a tapas bar at some point, but I really want to find some serious Catalan food. As Barcelonans (sp?) pride themselves on not really being Spanish, I'm curious to try their food.

Formal nights - Yes, we plan on dressing to the nines. Dennis is bringing his Dress Blues instead of a tux. I'm wearing long and formal (though not ballgown). We live in the cultural wasteland of the universe. We make up excuses to dress up.

Pirate wear - Dennis will be sporting his Pittsburgh Pirates t-shirt. I will be pretending I'm married to someone else. I may take something sort of pirate-y if I have room in my luggage, otherwise I'll improvise.

Pub Crawl shirt - ROCKS!! Excellent job!! (Though I do like the idea of a FAB shirt. Something like "Have a FABulous time," maybe.)

Moms and the cult of Disney - my parents have lived in Orlando for 50-odd years. I grew up here. They think Disney is a cult. They're right. Please pass the Kool-Aid - I've been drinking it since 1971.

There is no such thing as too much chocolate or too many shoes, or too much talk about chocolate or shoes.

Don't know how much I'll be on here for the next week. Mom doesn't leave her computer on 24/7 like I do, or check it as obsessively as I do. I'll try to check in at least once a day to keep up with the FE stuff. Please keep checking for updates on the FE groups. I've started adding people to Group 7 (Port Canaveral), so the people who are signed up for all the groups will want to keep an eye on that.

I need to see if any of the neighbors have non-passworded wifi that I could sponge off of. Then I could do all this from my laptop!

Quick question for those that have done the TA's before. My family is interested in doing the Santa Maria Galleon in Madeira. Disney is charging 95.00 per adult and 75.00 for our DD. I found online that the tour costs 30 euro (about $45US) per person from the kiosk at the dock. My question would be do you think that there would be room for us if we just walked up or should we pay the extra for a guaranteed spot? Thank you for any advice.

Update: Here is where we are with the t-shirts so far.

We are still finalizing the design but I wanted to pass this on to get feedback.

(See anything hidden in the bubbles?) :thumbsup2

This is great, but for those of us who may prefer the liquor to the beer, any way to get one with a martini glass with the Mickey ears? Where are you all designing these?

Amanda

That is HILARIOUS! Where are those sold?

They don't sell them anymore, drats! Have to resort to making our own.

CHOCOLATE needs adding to Lynne's list!!!;):rotfl:

I suppose it really deserves its own category, not just "food." Sort of like mayonnaise for Southerners.

...Yes we definitely are into peanutbutter here! It's my dog's favorite food too. :upsidedow

Here's my sister's dog (or should we just call him the family dog? as he visits us everyday) a year ago, getting a spoonful of peanut butter from my dad:
P1030129.jpg
P1030128.jpg

  Great list! Just about sums it up. (May need to add *chocolate* and a 2nd listing of *alcohol*).

Ditto! Your European chocolate is so much better than what we have here in the US. :worship: We've had chocolate in several European countries, for sampling purposes of course :rolleyes1, and we haven't had a bad bit yet! Always looking for the next yummy bit. :thumbsup2

If you ever get to the Loire Valley of France, head to the village of Amboise and visit (shop!) the Patisserie Chocolaterie Bigot a Amboise. Perhaps the best chocolate I've ever had. While you are in the area, the chateau Chenonceaux is beautiful. And ladies, they also have wineries in the area. Chocolate and wine while traveling - DISboarder-approved activities.

I think that the flavor is weak in the Lays variety ... is that what you like about them? If you like them strong like me ... then do I have a treat for you, and I'll bring some along for you on the cruise.

The Walker's Crisps of England definitely offer a wider variety of flavors than we get in the US from Lay's. Looking forward to buying some in Gibraltar. Got a good deal on them in a little closet of a store on a side street there. I imagine Morrison's will have them, too, but will probably cost more. My favorite - Cheddar and Onion - so much better than our sour cream and onion....

Peanut Butter in chocolate  guess I can blame my British roots for that aversion

I'm sure geography has something to do with it. Thanks to George Washington Carver and a pesky insect that killed the cotton crops, we ended up with a lot of peanut farming in the South. Combine that with the history of cooking with ground nuts brought over by Western Africans who were shipped to the US in the slave trade, and voila! a deadly plant that kills allergic children becomes a favorite of many.

I like the Reese's Peanut Butter Easter Eggs - they don't use nearly the same amount of parafin as regular Reese's Cups and have smooth, creamy peanut butter on the outside.

...Similar question, has anyone tried the thick hot chocolate drink I keep hearing about in Spain?

Reminded me to drink Belgian hot chocolate when over in Europe - it is so much better than the overly sweet stuff they serve us here.

Thanks for more ideas! I don't think I've got enough time now, and I arrive in Europe on August 31.

...My DP was telling her mum about our cruise and that we had been conversing on a forum with people doing the same trip and about the activities organised etc.
She didnt have much to say on the matter, but found out tonight after talking to her sister that her mum thinks we have joined some kind of online cult group and have to give hundreds of people gifts to get on board!!! :lmao:

Oh dear........... bless her, she is in her 70s, so doesnt understand the ways of the world wide web!!

Oh, she understands all right! Don't you realize there are gift payments to be made to get on the ship - and we've spelled it all out for you: C-H-O-C-O-L-A-T-E and A-L-C-O-H-O-L. That's why there's a store in the terminal and then a stop in Gibraltar.

Is this bad I have only had chocolate from the us.

That can be remedied. Have you signed up for the Candy Swap, FEs, or Secret Mickey?

I'm thinking I may need to do the Pub Crawl to get a shirt! Great design!

Keri

I'm loving the links --- THANKS!! :thumbsup2

Okay, I have had like one sip of beer ever in my life, but these shirts make me want to start beer! We need a "Mickey's Wine Flight" tshirt and I'd be all in!!! (Or "Having a FAB time with Mickey" --- in honor of Pat's FABs...)

hint hint hint... ;)

I can't imagine having more than one of any alcoholic drink, let alone going from pub to pub, but the shirt is great.

@Mandy - I can see Mickey on a wine bottle that has wings. Maybe his friends would be on bottles, too. Or else Mickey could be looking at the Arrivals/Departures board and see the names of various wines listed.

Another person looking to take over the Weekly Recap narrator position - that pretty much covered today.

- Would you be willing to risk it if there were no spots available?
- Are there multiple sailings during the times we are there?
- Are other ships in port with us?
- Can you bring yourself to pay more than double just to guarantee a spot?

If you absolutely must do this activity, go with DCL; otherwise, I'd be at the kiosk with spending money left.

Mentioning Chenonceaux, this property is so well maintained. The flower arrangements in the chateaux are magnificent.

Love the shirt design!!!!! :thumbsup2 Great job!

Yes we LOVE pb in this house. Especially with chocolate. I make a peanut butter chocolate torte (kind of like a cheescake but lighter) for Thanksgiving each year and it disappears very quickly.

Now that sounds absolutely divine :love:

On the subject of chocolate some of the best chocolate in the UK comes from a place called Hotel Chocolat

http://www.hotelchocolat.co.uk

and Thorntons:

http://www.thorntons.co.uk

Both have stores in all major towns and shopping malls in UK and online. You may be able to find Thorntons chocolates in Morissons ( if it is open !! )

Oh my we have been a chatty lot overnight :)

Well she would love Tower of Terror shop :scared1:

She has been told she could be moved anywhere where she is needed, but her main base will be the left block ..... somewhere on the left, otherwise she is non the wiser. She has gone to Hollywood Studios this afternoon to check it out I think. I have been chatting to her this afternoon and she is really having a ball ... she went to MK last evening to see Wishes.
I would love to work there...What a wonderful time she's going to have.

Yes we LOVE pb in this house. Especially with chocolate. I make a peanut butter chocolate torte (kind of like a cheescake but lighter) for Thanksgiving each year and it disappears very quickly.

We had churros and chocolate in Madrid when we were there in May. It is a very thick sort of pudding chocolate that you could drink, but is better with a spoon.

The place to get it is at a Chocolateria. So if you see one of those, pop in for some churros con chocolate.

But as a rule we find the spanish chocolate not sweet enough for our tastes.
Oh that peanut butter torte looks so good - but so bad! ;)

Chris - love the T'shirt design :thumbsup2

My daughter and son-in-law were on the EBTA and I got a first hand report about the situation in Barcelona at the end of May. There had been a large group of economic/political protestors peacefully occupying the Placa Catalunya for a few weeks at the end of May. It so happened that the Barcelona football team (soccer for those of us west of the pond) was playing for the UEFA championship on May 29th (+/- a day) and traditionally the FCB football fanatics would gather and celebrate (or commiserate -- depending on the outcome) their championship on the Placa Catalunya. Apparently the Barcelona authorities, fearing these two groups would clash and violence/chaos might ensue, decided to Move the protest group out of the Placa Catalunya the day before the football game (Saturday, May 28th), which was the day the Magic arrived in port. This attempt to remove the protest group resulted in some violence and chaos.

My feeling is that while there is some reason for caution, I am not overly concerned about our visit to Barcelona. Of course, as they say on the internet, your mileage may vary.

Regards,
Jerry

Thanks for the info, i'm not too worried about it.

We will just be careful with the pick pockets, I think they are the main cause for concern.

Wowzer, I need to kick my planning in gear and start creating! You remind me of folks who have all their Christmas shopping done in October, lol. Very inspiring!

:rotfl: That's me - I love Christmas, almost as much as Disney. :santa:

Oh yummy! I love Churros.

Just wanted to share this with you all as it gave me a little :rotfl:

My DP was telling her mum about our cruise and that we had been conversing on a forum with people doing the same trip and about the activities organised etc.

That really made me laugh out loud!!! And precisely the reason why I haven't explained the DIS to my parents. ;)

Is this bad I have only had chocolate from the us.

::yes:: You need to try some UK choccie asap! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Now that sounds absolutely divine :love:

On the subject of chocolate some of the best chocolate in the UK comes from a place called Hotel Chocolat

http://www.hotelchocolat.co.uk

and Thorntons:

http://www.thorntons.co.uk

Both have stores in all major towns and shopping malls in UK and online. You may be able to find Thorntons chocolates in Morissons ( if it is open !! )

Yum, I love Thorntons.

I find hotel Chocolat a bit too bitter for me, but I am not a big fan of that type, i'm more of a cheap Cadburys girl. :lmao:

My pancreas is playing up just looking at that!!!!:scared1: It looks so yummy.

Are you meaning to go to the dock and just pay less to get on the DCL excursion? I think they would charter the galleon just for their trip and not allow walk ups. You have to book by the night before for excursions anyway I think. I would just pay up if you want to do it but it is so annoying to know that DCL make that much on excursions, plus they will get a better deal in the first place. No doubt all cruise lines are the same with these excursions.

Spanish Galleon at Madeira:

When I checked, the Shore Excursion from DCL occurs at the second sailing time of the day - 3pm (the DCL group meets at 2:15 to get ready). It did not show another time as being unavailable, either.

You could try and get on the 10:30am sailing. It looks like we might be the only ship in port (actually the only one between Sep 9 & 19)

Wow a 2 day chat about chocolate, this is so my kind if forum!!

Hotel Chocolat chocolate is divine- little expensive to eat on regular basis but a lovely treat!

This is great, but for those of us who may prefer the liquor to the beer, any way to get one with a martini glass with the Mickey ears? Where are you all designing these?

Amanda

A friend of mine that is a graphic designer did this for me as a favor so I'll have to see if he would do a revised one with a martini glass.

We have just been in our local Hotel Chocolat shop to get a free sample, but there seemed to be none on offer today!:confused3 Boy it is expensive stuff but sooooo good. I have to wonder why people buy children's items from there as I guess children like chocolate whatever kind and Cadbury's would do just fine.

I got the final design back this morning and will work tomorrow on getting final ordering info on shirts.

For those of you in the US, I would be happy to take orders and then ship you your shirt(s). I am planning on working with CustomInk.com on printing these. If I order 20 of them, the cost is right around $15 each, plus I would just pass through the shipping cost to ship via Priority Mail.

More than 20 would of course bring down the cost per shirt, so join in!

CustomInk has the ability for me to set up a site where folks on the board can go to our group page and enter your name, quantity and size(s) and it will keep a running tally for me so I know how many to order and in what size. :thumbsup2 I will post this information tomorrow.

For those in the UK and elsewhere, I can email you the artwork directly and you can use the site of your choice to get your shirt done. Unfortunately CustomInk doesn't ship internationally except to APO/FPO.

I looked on the US Postal Service website and to ship (for example) a small priority mail box to the UK is $13.95! :scared1: I'm sure it's better for you to get these done yourselves in that case!
