I guess having the website is a good crosscheck but maybe next time we could set it up to send the organizers a message when they indicate they are on a tour or event.

Any thoughts or comments?

Perhaps it would be best not to have the users on the web page be checking things themselves, but rather once we are close to sailing--say one month out--have the organizers of the events send Noel the final lists to post on the web site?

Or she could add something to the site that has a warning that if you check the box and you have not contacted the organizer directly, it does not mean you are added?

Not sure if it is too late for the first option, but it seems like it might save some hassle?

Just a thought.

By the way, Noel, did you get the picture I sent you for the web?

EDIT: Also noticed we were on the web site twice. Apologies. We have issues in Skopje with Internet and the first time I signed up it appeared to have not taken as the web site crashed, but now I notice we are on some lists twice. There is only the two of us, not two fontabels. Sorry!

Thanks to EVERYONE who is actively organizing stuff for this cruise. You guys are really awesome.

I remember on the WB Panama Canal cruise in 2008 we had a few problems with the FE lists. Onboard it appeared that a couple of rooms were not getting ANY gifts as they weren't on the list, and they were very cross about it and posted in people's FE's. Well, they must have mentioned it once and thought they were on the list, or signed up and never ever popped back or checked up on anything. The organiser PM'd everyone and also emailed as best she could as so many people had booked the cruise and then just never came back and said they cancelled. We obviously wanted an up to date list of those participating. They had never replied to any communications.

It can be quite difficult.

hope the lady that beat me in the chipping contest final isn't there.... just kidding! we're bringing our lanyards and pins from that cruise too and...the grape soda medal from UP that was given as a gift!

gary has been trying to win that golf set for the last three cruises and always gets beaten by the non golfers.

thats why i specifically put on the front page of this thread that people have to respond to any and every PM the organiser sends, or they risk being taken out of the group. that way, we have warned them, and its their own fault if they dont read it or take heed. i do feel sorry for the kids caught in the crossfire though

We live about 20 minutes away from Bluewater, very frequent shoppers! especially regular visitors to Krispy Kreme!

I have been reading for so long now but realized I have never added us to the list of cruisers. There will be me(Tracey), hubby Dave and relatives Lesley and Tony.

I do so appreciate the "Tough Love" attitude. Makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside! I've read the second book "The Girl Who Played With Fire" Awesome! Now I have the third book but holding out to read it til we go to the beach at Hilton Head during 4th of July (and it's killing me to walk past the book because it whispers to me "Read me...Read me!")

I'll wait til August and then I'll bug you fellow dis'ers with more recommendations! lol

OK, I have to do a second post. Great concert; I'm inspired.

Thanks for the compliment Mandy. I really liked the titles you suggested for the FE groups. Even though we aren't using them, I'm sure that we'll have a lot of "sons of a son of a sailor" on this cruise, try plenty of "boat drinks" and keep watch for "fins to the left and fins to the right" as we sail.

Hope the weather stays good because I don't want to be "trying to reason with hurricane season." I just want to go to Pluto's and have a "cheeseburger in paradise". Maybe they serve "fruitcakes" in the dining room; if not, maybe "grapefruit juicyfruit" on the buffet.

Any "volcano" on the islands better stay quiet or we'll have to call for help on the "coconut telegraph". I don't know where Ima gonna go when the volcano blows!

So, we'll have a great time and listen to the "jolly mon sing" while we go through our "changes in latitude, changes in attitude". And then, we'll all be sad when we pull into that "one particular harbor". Many of us will be heading to WDW, but some will do the "Pascagula run".

Don't forget "Yes, I am a pirate" on Pirates night and if anyone gets involved in a fight that night.....I'm sure "some people will say there's a woman to blame!" Just went to our first Buffet concert about a month ago....best concert ever (were we living on another planet all these years to not have gone to one of his concerts?????)! He knows how to have fun!

Plus we are finding people sign up via PM but have never posted on this rollcall thread (or the previous three) - so you are right, not much checking in via this thread, or maybe reading but not posting. We try to keep any updates on the front page of the thread as well as post in the thread. Or people mention it on a post on FB, but have never PM'ed or posted here. Definitely don't want to miss anyone. I've got the easier one since we are at capacity, just having to split into the two catamarans, but those with closing dates in the future are still herding cats.

Pirate is one of my favs! When we pass the tailgaters at a Buffett concert, it is referred to as "the pirate party" by my daughter. She sees all the pirate flags flying in the air.
