Gibraltar Dolphin Excursion

The link for the tour is Here:

http://www.gibraltarinfo.gi/gibraltar-dolphins.aspx

We are hoping to do the tour at 10:15am. The trip takes approximately 90 mins so we would have plenty of time to take other trips in Gibraltar and of course visit Morrissons !!!!
Cost would be £15 per person. Send me a PM if you are interested in this trip.

Please note ; The tour organiser is trying to get us to change to 12:00 and I have requested that we stay at 10:15. I am awaiting a reply. I will post once I get one. Thanks.
At the moment I am freezing the numbers on the trip until I hear back from the organisers.

Hi Sarah! Any word back yet on the timeslot for this? If Morrison's opens at 10, we can make our Morrison's run first I would think?

pat - cant remember what the decision was about distributing FE gifts, but if a decision was made, can i be put in the "give gifts in the first couple of days" group please

Thanks for all the congrats everyone! It's so nice to have that off my back and now I can fully focus on the important things in life... such as vacation :thumbsup2 I'm getting so geared up for this trip and we're heading to WDW on July 2. :yay:

Well the weekend I am dreading has arrived ... DD leaves for Florida on Sunday morning :sad2::sad2: Still got a lot to do.
Hope the BBQ went well and you got everything done. Just keep in mind she'll miss you too even if she doesn't seem like it.

3) How should I post these? I tried creating a document on our Facebook page, but I couldn't get it to work in the table format I used. Same with posting it here. Noel - I was wondering if I could send the file to you to post on the website. I used Word to create the tables. I guess I could post here, but I'll need to reformat everything so the lines aren't all running into each other. Unless someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong!

Now I need to get going on making my gifts! I'm waaaay behind schedule!
Thanks so much for organizing this! I registered for the FE google docs so I can check out my group. You definitely deserve a FAB!

But we have managed to book today with Virgin!! and right now are so excited we dont know what to do with ourselves.
Welcome aboard!

Hello everyone. I wasn't sure where to start, so hope KARENTAN doesn't mind me starting off on her post. I am Jerry and my wife is Jan and we were on the April 2010 back to back EBT and Mediterranean . If anyone else was on there you may remember we brought our own Preacher. They can't make it this year though. I have ordered lanyards but not sure where to order pins and and can magnets be ordered? Help? We do not have a cabin assignment yet as we are Cat 9D GTY. I will update as soon as we get a cabin number.
Welcome aboard! Pins are being made by Noel and you can find info about it on page 1 or in her welcome wagon posts. Magnets can be homemade. That's what we always do :goodvibes

 FE gifts finished!!!
Awesome job being on top of things. We're still trying to decide what we want to do.

Awesome job being on top of things. We're still trying to decide what we want to do.

it wasnt intentional - found a great deal on something i thought would work, got them while i could, then have just been REALLY bored today so made a start on them and managed to finish all of them :thumbsup2

Pirate is one of my favs! When we pass the tailgaters at a Buffett concert, it is referred to as "the pirate party" by my daughter. pirate: She sees all the pirate flags flying in the air.

My 2 sons have gone to East Carolina University (youngest has one more year) and their mascot is the pirate. We love the tailgating parties......all about pirates and Buffet music playing. A couple of year ago the ECU shirts sported the line "I am a pirate" by Jimmy Buffet. I have been looking for one ever since! Your daughter is right.....they are pirate parties! :thumbsup2

Don't forget "Yes, I am a pirate" on Pirates night pirate:and if anyone gets involved in a fight that night.....I'm sure "some people will say there's a woman ::MinnieMoto blame!" Just went to our first Buffet concert about a month ago....best concert ever (were we living on another planet all these years to not have gone to one of his concerts?????)! He knows how to have fun!

Trust me, he could have gone on and on...I begged him to stop :goodvibes. But honestly, I had to google Carl Hiaasen (great reference, Pat!). He still has the Barometer Soup cassette (but who has a player anymore? :sad2:)

You'll all recognize DH by the JB t-shirts he almost always wears (when he's not wearing a Keep Austin Weird shirt). We've only been to a couple of his concerts, but they are truly an experience :woohoo:.

Thank you for all your hard work on this. I was able to access and see our list.

Okay, folks, I hate to be difficult about this, but

You MUST have sent me a PM with your information (as described on Page 1 and in Noel's Welcome Wagon message) in order to be included in the FE!!!!

I have received several messages and requests from people who believe they signed up because they mentioned it in the thread or on Facebook, but those posts are too easy to miss, which is why I have asked everyone who wishes to participate to PLEASE send me a PM (or a Visitor message if you have fewer than 10 posts).

Thank you for your understanding about this.

well its definately not sunny here so where's everyone gone?!! :rotfl:

i'm making FE gifts at the mo. they're turning out really well if i do say so myself :)
My Macbook has been running really slow so I've been cleaning it up and backing everything up on it and it's taken till now..at least it seems to be running better.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all our US dads out there!:grouphug:

And to all our UK ones, even though the day is nearly over..

All the people that have PM'd me so far for the drinks tastings your names have been added to group 2 on the lists.

Where do you live in NC? We are near Raleigh.

My 2 sons have gone to East Carolina University (youngest has one more year) and their mascot is the pirate. We love the tailgating parties......all about pirates and Buffet music playing. thats why i specifically put on the front page of this thread that people have to respond to any and every PM the organiser sends, or they risk being taken out of the group. that way, we have warned them, and its their own fault if they dont read it or take heed. i do feel sorry for the kids caught in the crossfire though

Neither of you are being difficult or a pain. Directions are clearly spelled out in the first few pages of the thread. That is why those posts are copied to the beginning of each new thread.

And why I've posted this is large letters on page 1 and throughout the thread.

Thanks to everyone for being understanding about this.

Thanks. Plus we are finding people sign up via PM but have never posted on this rollcall thread (or the previous three) - so you are right, not much checking in via this thread, or maybe reading but not posting. We try to keep any updates on the front page of the thread as well as post in the thread. Or people mention it on a post on FB, but have never PM'ed or posted here. Definitely don't want to miss anyone. I've got the easier one since we are at capacity, just having to split into the two catamarans, but those with closing dates in the future are still herding cats. :ccat:

I don't have a problem with people PM'ing and not posting much (or at all). At least I can see the PM with their info and put them on the list.

There are still a couple of people who PM'd ages ago, but haven't posted lately or responded to any posts regarding the FE (number of groups, Google, etc.). I've put them into groups, but I'm going to PM and email them to make sure they're still in.

Thanks so much for organizing this! I registered for the FE google docs so I can check out my group. You definitely deserve a FAB!

Careful - I'm going to start keeping track of these FAB offers! Especially in the second week when funds are getting low. ;)

I love Hiaasen's books. I discovered him from JB's song "The Ballard of Skip Wiley." He's a fellow native Floridian and his stories are all set in Florida. The plots and characters are just crazy, but they do have a strong environmental message. I saw him interviewed once on TV, where they asked him how he comes up with such insane characters. He said something to the effect of "I live in South Florida. I just open the door in the morning." :rotfl: I disagree with him on his opinion of the "Mouse House," though I agree about the overdevelopment of the state. And the former governor who regularly shows up in his books is one of my all-time favorite characters.

Thanks Karen for the welcome back.:flower3:
I have been lurking around on here for a bit adding the odd comment every now and then.
I have part of my FE's done, just need to pick up 2 more items then my main gift will be complete :woohoo:

Hi Mary, welcome back! Glad to hear you had a wonderful time and good weather. Not like the weather we had for the Montreal Grand Prix, where we got soaked :sad2: Looking forward to hearing all about your cruise:goodvibes Hope you enjoy your iPad as much as Paul and I enjoy ours. :thumbsup2

Hi Lorraine

We just watched the grand prix this morning, :scared1: the weather was shocking, not seen one like that that a long time!!!

Well done Jenson :woohoo: you would've been pleased with the results :cool1:

I'll need to attempt my trip report soon once Stevie uploads and sorts the photos into photo bucket :thumbsup2

Just trying to get use to the keyboad on this iPad, it might take a few days to get used to :rotfl:

Where do you live in NC? We are near Raleigh.

About 30 minutes north of Raleigh - Louisburg, NC. Where close to Raleigh? I grew up in Raleigh before my husband got transferred to here. Would love to maybe meet up with you one day and have lunch.....maybe close to Triangle Town Mall or Crabtree area (or anywhere for that matter). That would be exciting to get to know a fellow cruiser before we depart! :thumbsup2

We met a couple on the Mediterranean cruise last year who live near Atlanta (GA-yaya) and we are meeting them this week-end for brunch. They are also on the WBTA cruise in Sept. You get to meet lots of nice people on the cruise.

Let me know if you want to meet one day for lunch! Have a great day!

If anyone wants High Tea for the 11th September I am going to cancel the one we have as it's going to be too much of a rush as we're on Early dining.
It's the 2nd sea day, first formal night.

Now Cancelled.

I noticed the following changes since last September:-

Cove Cafe, now has a disabled access button you have to press to open the doors from the outside. I stood under the sensor for ages like a muppet before the waiter inside came over to let me know :rotfl2:

The loungers have change at the family pools/deck 10, much better than the slatted plastic ones. They are now a solid blue plastic mesh type, but definitely an improvement. The old ones came out on the sea days when they were running short

The kids clubs are now called Edge (Tweens) and Vibe (older teens)

Drinks station at deck 9 is no longer an island which you can walk round, they have been put back against the Walls at the back corner

West End Gallery now has pictures being sold by DCL, the usual character prints, but not as many as before

Spy holes in room doors

Wave phones (which are brilliant and easy to use, basically your cruise mobile phone for texting and phoning everyone)

Palo has new crockery

Up Beat shop had no alcohol sales this cruise. Spanish authorities put the foot own and said it wasn't purchased in Spain, so no duty free for sale. Kitchen trinkets were gone too. On a plus side it had gorgeous pashminas for $12, i bought 2, and handbags, it was like a ladies accessory shop

New merchandise in the shops, so there's lots of new t-shirt styles to add to everybody's collection :cool1: we bought 5 between us :lovestruc

Hi Claire

Did everyone get their bookings for high tea on 13th?

I had a word with the palo manager about it. Let me know what the new developments are :)

THE FE GROUPS ARE READY!!

Finally. I've checked and rechecked and I think I've got it right. If you are participating in the FE, please click on the link below to request an invitation to join the group. You will need to create a Google account first, if you don't already have one. I'll confirm your request, and "share" the FE lists document with you (once I figure out how to do that). There is a question you will need to answer (it's an easy one) to help confirm that you are who you claim to be.

WBTA FE 2011

Once you have access to the document PLEASE READ the page at the beginning of the document. It has some info you need to know.

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me. Now, everyone cross your fingers that this works!

I have requested to join ..... can't wait to get my list :thumbsup2

Awesome work Pat. :worship:

Absolutely PAT YOU ARE A STAR :worship::worship::hug::hug:

I have been working my way through this thread since last weekend when we first decided we may quite love to go on this cruise, so have been getting very excited to read about all of the goings on..........

But we have managed to book today with Virgin!! and right now are so excited we dont know what to do with ourselves.

We are Hazel and Annie and have spent the past 10 years or so taking our holidays in WDW. We were due to take our holiday in California this year but that fell through, and after spending an entire week sulking and trawling the internet for different holidays i came across the WBTA!

We have never been on any kind of cruise before so this is all completely new to us, so we thought what better way to start than the Disney way!!

We are not going with kids but are just big versions of kids ourselves :dance3:

We have lots of things we want to know about but after my excitement has subsided a little i will form a legible list!!

I take it to add ourselves on to the organised activities etc we just pm the person that arranges it?

Apologies for randomness but this is what we're doing on our chairs right now ..... :cool1:

looking forward ti getting to know some people before we leave, we think we are quite easy to get along with and always love meeting new people!!

xxxxx

WElcome aboard Hazel and Annie .... we are Sarah and Tony from Wales and this will be our 2nd WBTA !!!!

i think all us of should stop and say:

thank you pat! you rock!

thanks for all your hard work and perseverance with all the problems with FEs and stuff. and even more amazing since its your first time ever organising a FE :)

Definitely ..... thank you Pat, and everyone else who is organising stuff ..... you are all awesome and :hug::hug:

Hi all

We're delayed in heathrow for an hour so I thought I would have a quick look at the boards, I can't believe I have missed 70 pages in 10 days!!!!

It's going to take me days to catch up :lmao:

Hope you have got home safe by now and hope you had a Magical cruise.

I have been reading for so long now but realized I have never added us to the list of cruisers:rolleyes1. There will be me(Tracey), hubby Dave and relatives Lesley and Tony.
We are also all from Kent.:)

Welcome aboard Tracey, Dave, Lesley and Tony :thumbsup2

 FE gifts finished!!!

Now thats impressive ..... :thumbsup2

This morning we were all up early and took Taryn to the airport for her flight to Orlando ..... I have been feeling sick ever since and I can't wait for her to land at the other end. I am closely monitoring the Orlando airport flight arrivals website.

Here she is taking off ......
