So funny story. I bought my pink feather boa's for the Champagne Girls meet a few months ago and they have been sitting in the bottom of my closet in plastic bags. Saturday morning I go in my closet to put laundry away and there is my black and white kitten covered in pink feathers having a blast with my now completly shredded boas. DH and I had a good laugh. Figaro just looks at us like "what, why are you laughing at me". Needless to say it took forever to clean up all the feathers and now I have to buy new ones. I guess I need a new place to put them. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I hope you took a picture....that is so cute! :lovestruc I had the same experience many years ago. One day when I came in, there were light green feathers all over my bedroom. :headache: Our little kitten had found the end of one of the boas, leaped and swatted at it and pulled it down where she proceeded to wrestle with it until there was nothing left. I only found out how she had done it when I caught her back in the closet going after my white boa! It was actually very cute...such a mess. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I completely understand the white shoes after Labor Day dilemma, being a Louisiana girl. :lmao: But let's just consider this cruise attire that can include white...that's my story and I'm sticking with it. :thumbsup2

Same story I'm going with too Peggy! lol :thumbsup2

Yep, I remember that night well - I was konked out on Dramamine in our stateroom and missed the show in Rockin' Bar D where my husband was "not hypnotized" and then he was dressed up as Barry White! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yep! Have the incriminating "Barry White" pictures at home! That was so funny!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hi Guys,

:lmao::lmao: I have the same concern about getting my tipsy self back to the catamaran. :lmao::lmao: The waiver doesn't mention anything about drunks! :rotfl:

Hopefully it should be easier once we are tipsy …. Or should I say easier to convince ourselves we are indestructible!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I really wish I had thought to grab my camera. It was early Saturday moring and I was not quite awake yet. It was very cute/funny though.

come on, you cant say that without sharing with the rest of the class :rotfl::rotfl:;)

I wonder if that was the same hypnotist that was on the 2008 Panama Canal cruise? My sister got hypnotised and thought paper napkins were money and thought she was Hannah Montana. She was the hit of the cruise for the rest of it. I never laughed so hard in my life. I wished I had my video camera.

I like that mode of thinking!! :)

No reply yet from them... but some good pics on this page of White Bay with boats tied to moorings (and back of large catamaran) and also of this pic at the doc with the ladders flipped upwards. They just need a pic of a super good looking person at the top who is helping us tipsy people back onto the boat with rum punch in hand for the sail back! ;)

Question for UK Disers----where to have tea?:confused3

Tony has been researching and planning our trip to London pre cruise. So excited. He splurged and signed us up for the evening private tour at Buckingham Palace (our 30th anniversary)!

Our two weeks in Hawaii house sitting are coming to an end. I'm ready to go home as I miss my dogs and my boys!!

Aloha

8. Question for people who has been to Gibraltar before: Can you do the rock on your own? Is it difficult to get to if you just walk off the ship? Is it an "on your own" type exploration or do you need a tour?

I PM'd you what we did.
9. Has anyone done one of the spa pedicures? Is the polish issue a problem on your feet that it is on your hands?

Fontabel (Amanda)

Don't waste your money as I have heard people have problems with feet as well!!

Two of our tablemates were selected to be Barry White and Donna Summers....it was hilarious! They did a really good job (especially after a few drinks! :lmao:)! I would say I would bring the pics as blackmail......but it wouldn't phase Roger at all! His wife, Peggy, can attest to that! :rotfl2:

Hi Everyone!

We're just back from a 5-day jaunt to New Orleans for multiple family celebrations! :dance3: And, YIKES!!!! :scared1: I am about 45 pages behind in reading....gonna take a couple of days to catch up.

So I apologize if I am repeating any previously answered questions...
What time to we need to be onboard for the muster drill in Barcelona? We'd like to get our bags into the stateroom and then head back out to buy liquor & wine. :drinking1 You can never have too much on hand!

I need to add transportation and a WDW hotel to my reservation, but it says I cannot change it online - maybe because it's a GTY. Will I be able to make changes online later or should I just call them?

Now that we are back in town I can start to focus on this cruise. Woohoo! :cheer2: AND I need to get serious with this diet!!! :guilty:

Last year we had to be on board by 4PM.

Maybe we need to make a list on this excursion to pair people up like they use for little kids .....the buddy system. That way, hopefully, if your partner is not with you when you get back on the catamaran, we can account for those missing (but I guess that depends on how "tipsy" people are as to whether they will remember they had a buddy and what that buddy looked like!:lmao::lmao:)

:welcome: aboard your dog is so adorable:lovestruc

I am taking my mother in law back to the States in style! She recently broke her hip and can not take a long flight. Is there a time for meet and great on day 1? I saw the lanyard offer, and I signed up, but I can't find the confirmation list. Is the pin included?
Can't wait to meet everyone!
Damian

whoo i hope i gain a son in law like you:cool1:

:welcome:

I made a deposit for the 9am group ride. I also put in that I want to use their transport from the ship. I'd like to go to Marigot to do a bit of shopping, too. I was thinking if the planes land more in the afternoon, I could go to Marigot after riding, then hit Maho. Or am I trying to do too much?

i dont think thats too much at all pat, i think thats plenty of time :goodvibes

yeah we booked our transport with them too its just provided by a different company, it will be on your confirmation email.:thumbsup2

i just thought if we were planning on driving other places it might save some bucks if ask for price in advance:rolleyes1

Yep - can skip the catamaran sail and take the ferry/bus for VG. They have it right when mentioning "good physical condition". We had a guided tour along the base of the Baths, and never went to the top where tour buses dropped off. Too much climbing and squeezing through holes here and there. We knew we couldn't do Virgin Gorda this time having little ones.

I didn't know that, I thought it was just a steep(ish) uneven path that you walked down from the drop off to the base of the baths.

Are you trying to tell us something, Claire? ;)

I'm confused, what do you mean? :confused3

I have said i'm torn between the JVD tour & the Virgin Gorda.....I can't decide which one to do. :headache:

Glad you enjoyed the Dream, it is such a beautiful ship! :cloud9:

I have just had a lovely Afternoon Tea at Fortnum & Masons today it was fab. Here is a link.... http://www.fortnumandmason.com/stjames-restaurant.aspx

There is also the obvious choice of Tea at The Ritz - http://www.theritzlondon.com/tea/ but Tea at the Savoy is supposedly nicer (according to my sister). http://www.savoy-experiences.com/thesavoy/afternoontea/

I am sure you will enjoy any of them, it's a very lovely way to spend a few hours.

Don't waste your money as I have heard people have problems with feet as well!!

I have only ever had 3 treatments onboard, a hot stone massage, reflexology and the spa pedicure. None were worth the money. Well the massage might have been if it wasn't a male therapist. The pedicure in particular was a total waste of my money and time.
