You lot are scaring me. I only plan on taking 1 pair of dress shoes, 3 pair of crocs and a pair of trainers.

I know I am not taking part in the FE, I think you're right about running round like headless chickens Claire.

My DH John would love you. I have a suitcase that is mostly filled with shoes so I can NEVER just take one suitcase!!

I couldn't survive with just that amount of shoes for 2 weeks. ;)

I know I always am, it seems that we always have a while to go then it comes around so quickly and we're never ready. :lmao:

Plus there is the whole having to clean the house from top to bottom before I go...what is up with that?? :confused3

Fine with me if you split the list.

We would like to participate in more than one list.

Are we making some sort of splitup in the groups so that fx one half of the group will deliver their gifts the first week and the other the second week?
I'm asking because on our last cruise we got all of our gifts the first couple of days, and my son was very unhappy with returing to a empty FE the last 4 days. (sorry if the question has already been asked. I been away on holiday, so I'm back on page 237 in thread 3)

I can only speak for myself, but unless I was way behind, my gifts would definitely be given out before the last 4 days of the cruise. If you want there to be something there every day, you may have to supplement with a few small things you've picked up yourself, like a previous poster mentioned whose children got visited by the "fairies". :wizard: You could also hold back some of the gifts if you get more than one delivery on any given day.

Pat, I'm with most people in not wanting to be assigned a day, but I'm ok with choosing a time within first or second week. The B option for newbies sounds good to me, we want to participate in all groups unless the number of cabins goes over 100

I am with you on the clean house. My house has to be immaculate before I leave. I want to come home to a clean house so I can just pass out and unpack the next day!!

LOL's Noel :) I am having to be very selective on which shoes I buy as they have to go with all the outfits I am going to get.

Don't get me started on cleaning Claire. I still do it even though the girls are still at home. I like to know that it's been cleaned properly before going. They try their best I suppose. I bet they just do it all the night before we are due home:rotfl:

that would be lovely to come home to a nice clean house, but my 18 year old son is staying home so there is no chance off that, :rotfl2:

It would drive me up a wall to come home to a messy house! You are a very understanding Mum!!

I always have that on my list, but it rarely gets done, because I'm always running around on the last few days .. tying up loose ends, pulling stuff out of closets because I need to take "it" with me, but can't find "it" anywhere :rotfl: :rotfl: By the time we leave the house it almost looks like a bomb hit it.

It's funny isn't it, Lee just laughs at me and asks if i'm cleaning it for the burglars!

I'm sure I would be the same if I lived at home, running around tidying up still just as your pulling up outside the house. ;)

Hello everyone :wave2:

Just subscribing to this thread, first time cruisers so there will be plenty of questions to follow

Hi and welcome to our mad group!!! We are Marilyn and John. We did this cruise last year and loved it so rebooked onboard.

I have no idea why I do it, my house if far from immaculate at every other time....but the day we go on holiday it is spotless. :confused3

We are lucky to have a spare room where we organize all the trip clothing. All of it hung in the closet or in the dressers until we pack it into the cases. After as many times as we travel, we have this pretty much down to a science but we are still human and do forget things!!

I just make lists of what goes in each case and put a copy in a zip-lock bag so I know how to repack!! Any extras we pick up along the way have to fit into the extra bag I bring along for those purchases. If I have time, I make a list of those purchase to put in the extra bag.

When I grow up, I want to be just like you Noel :thumbsup2

No need to clean then, they already visited you this year
:scared1:

I know!!!!!!

I don't think Lee will be saying that joke to me this year, he knows how much that whole thing affected me! :sad2:

Reminds me of the time the alarm company left a message that our alarm was going off at the house while we were on the WBTA. Turns out DD Samantha set off the alarm and forgot the password. Needless to say, I was not pleased to get a ship to shore call from her asking for the password!

My housekeeper makes sure the refrig is stocked per my list and is sparkly clean when we get home!!

Gotta love lists!!!! I'm obsessed with hand writing lists. :hippie:

It seems I go to church, a few more pages appear on this thread.... I take a Sunday afternoon nap, a few more pages appear... Message: No more sleep or church! :rotfl2: (And no... I didn't try sneaking a peak to the message boards during the sermon... but I did show DH the new countdown app I downloaded!)

ZiggyBaby - Welcome Aboard!! :cheer2: DH, DD1, and DD2 are traveling with me, and this is our ninth cruise, but first Disney and first Transatlantic, and I guess first cruise WITH the little ones.

Pat - Sure we will all be fine. Today's Sunday School lesson was on Anger. :thumbsup2

Jess - Happy Birthday!!! :wizard: I hope Austin is not as hot as north Texas! Try a sangria at Chuy's... makes you think of Spain. :woohoo:

Shoe Queens - I may be bringing a total of 3 pairs, and HOPE nobody steals sandals while we are in the pool on the ship! Those will duplicate as my flip flops. I think DD1 will have two pairs total, and the baby has yet to wear shoes. On one cruise, we were literally the cabin right inside the door from the pool on the pool deck. I don't think I ever even had to wear shoes to the pool, as we were literally two steps from our door to the deck door. And believe it or not, it was an incredibly quiet cabin.

Jill - Did you happen to notice what Shutters was charging for the cruise CD through Shutters? I think they are $ 399 , but maybe I saw someone recently post $ 299 and can't remember if maybe that is only for 7-day cruises.
