I would love an IPad - but can't really justify it as I already have a computer and an I Pod touch.

Same here Sarah......I've got an ipod touch & a laptop, Lee's got an iphone, ipod touch & a netbook - plus we have a desktop at home. We really have no need for an ipad, although we really want one. :lmao:

I sure hope Iceland keeps their volcanoes quiet come cruise time!

I hope they settle down by 3 weeks .... DD is flying to Florida to start the WDW college programme and 2 weeks after that we are flying to Florida.
I really can do without the stress from the volcano being a pain in the proverbial !:mad:

I am trying not to stress about it too, but Stevie keeps investigating it and watching it on the news. We fly out on 7th June :mad::mad:

If the worst comes to the worst, we will check with BA to move our Aberdeen to London leg and fly from North England, and if all else fails, we will drive to London :sad2:

Everything will be fine Sarah, if we say it enough times :laughing:

successful shopping trip, beths boarding dress..wish they had one in my size:rotfl2:

This reminds me of the rules of hiking in bear country:

You don't have to run faster than the bear - just faster than someone else in your group.

So true!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:confused3:confused3 I have no idea what to buy, a new laptop or an ipad ?

Help ??

I am sure a few of you here have ipads, would you recommend one over a laptop or a notebook?

I love my iphone, so I am familiar with the technology.

As a typical libran, I don't do decisions :confused3:confused3

I keep lusting after an Ipad, but I already have so many gadgets, I just can't justify the cost. I have an Acer netbook, which is very small and light, and does everything I need. And it's PINK!! Like someone else said, I hate typing on a touchscreen (my phone drives me insane), so the netbook suits my needs quite well. I have to buy a new power cord for it, though. When Luna first came to live here, she decided that would be a good thing to chew on. :scared1: Still amazed she didn't electrocute herself.

OMG that's gorgeous :lovestruc That's the sort of thing I used to buy for DD for our trips to WDW when she was younger. I want a little girl again :lmao: Did you get the bag too?

I can't wait to see her in it :cutie:

I've been lusting after one too after playing with my friend's ipad1 the other week, but then tried to justify whether I needed one or a netbook/laptop.

If I do get the ipad, I will get the keyboard that goes with it, I couldn't type on the touchscreen all the time.

Gosh Luna is lucky to be alive :scared1: little monkey :lmao:

I bought myself a Galaxy Tab and kept it 3 days when I came to my senses that I did not really need it,so I returned it. Now I have to pay a restocking fee, $70.00. Kind of an expensive lessen. DH tried to warn me. I really wanted an Ipad, but the Tab was cheaper. Glad I did not go for the ipad.

Welcome to all the new cruisers. We are Sue, DH Paul and my sister Vickie. This is my 4th Disney Cruise and 8th over all cruise. We were all 3 on the WBPC Cruise in 2008. I love the longer cruises.

I can't wait to see the Monkey's in Gibraltar. I'm a huge animal lover. I will have to control myself and not feed them.

Wow $70 to restock it, just for someone to go put it back on the store room. If I buy online, I like to buy somewhere if you want to you can return it to a store. All you loose then is the delivery charge, that's if it's not free delivery of course :)

I don't know about these Monkey's if the only way up to see them is cable car then we won't be seeing them!

LEAVE APPROVED!!!!

:woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay::dance3::yay::yay: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Finally. We've been waiting for over a week for Dennis' boss to approve his leave. Every time I said, "She's going to approve it, right?" he shrugged and said, "I hope so." Doesn't really inspire confidence. So I had to get brutal.

I showed Dennis the Mickey Mouse Club t-shirts on Zazzle.com last night, with his name on the back, and I said, "You only get this if you go on the cruise." Being an over-grown 5-year-old, he said, "But I want it!" Then I told him what it would cost for me to go by myself using the VTG rate (or whatever that's called), and pointed out how much we would be saving on dog boarding because he would be staying home to look after them. He looked absolutely shocked that I would go alone, but hey, this is my birthday present! Come hell or high water, I'm going!!

He emailed the boss and she came back with the approval.

I hate to have to get tough with him, but sometimes he just leaves me no choice. ;)

I just booked our airfare from Orlando - $534 each one-way on 1800flyeurope.com. :woohoo::woohoo:

Come on September!!! (But not too fast - still have to lose at least 20lbs.)

I am waiting for some info about a taxi tour in the afternoon which goes up to the top of the rock. I'll let you know the details when I hear back from him, if your interested. :)

Oh, we were always okay with the Disney tickets. I wasn't kidding when I said I'd go by myself! Once I make up my mind, that's it. ;) And I can use my ID to activate the tickets, so we didn't need him for that. I really only need him for the military rate on the cruise. Of course, I do kind of like him, so I'm glad he got the time off. :rotfl::rotfl:
