OOOOO, that t-shirt is sooooo cute. I wonder if they have them at my Disney Store. I have to check on my home tonight. I would not bring it on the cruise Sarah.

I wouldn't mind at all if you did Sue .... I'm sure there will be lots of Mickey T-Shirts in evidence .. I have quite a collection myself :thumbsup2

I have a lot of nerve even looking at more Mickey t-shirts. If I don't have 30-40+ I would be lying. I just bought two new ones on Disneystore.com this week alone. I did give one to DH though. I can always pilfer it later. LOL.

Hi Mandy

I did mention the pen & paper in jest, but have you tried to actually write a letter recently OMG I tried and found it looked like a 5 yr olds - we are getting far too Dependant on electronic wizardry :-) Where will it all end?????

LOL! Yes! I did block party invitations by hand recently and had to laugh. I tutor math over the internet, so most of my writing is numbers and variables --- no lengthy paragraphs. :thumbsup2

LEAVE APPROVED!!!!

Come on September!!! (But not too fast - still have to lose at least 20lbs.)

:thumbsup2 I also need 20 more before the trip...

IThat will be a weight off your mind!
I am with you on the 20 lbs ... I started back on WeightWatchers yesterday and I could eat cardboard. Still it will be worth it if I drop a dress size and can fit in last years cruise dresses !!

Me three I need the 20 lbs off too

That thought never even crossed my mind Claire you naughty girl :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I have no idea what to buy, a new laptop or an ipad ?

Help ??

I am sure a few of you here have ipads, would you recommend one over a laptop or a notebook?

I love my iphone, so I am familiar with the technology.

As a typical libran, I don't do decisions :confused3:confused3

Both DH and myself have iPads (his is version 2, mine's the original). When Paul decided to buy an iPad last summer, I really couldn't understand what the attraction was....but I quickly changed my mind; so much so that I was the one using it all of the time ( hence the need for a 2nd one;) ). I really love the fact that it is instantly on - no need to wait for it to boot up, no fixes or patches required - just instant access to the Internet, e-mail and any of the other apps. It is definitely much more like an appliance than a computer and is very lightweight and portable. I prefer using the iPad to our iMac as I really don't want to be sat at a desk on an evening or weekend after spending the whole workday in front of a PC. We often have ours with us when watching movies at home so that we can look up information on IMDB.com or when watching F1, we have the F1 app open so that we can get the live timing for the laps for each driver. Oh, and you can do multiple quotes on DISboards as you can see from this post :thumbsup2

of course :rotfl: a girl cant have too many bags:thumbsup2 im teaching her early

Totally agree. I love looking at, and buying, bags (and shoes!) :thumbsup2

letter recently OMG I tried and found it looked like a 5 yr olds - we are getting far too Dependant on electronic wizardry :-) Where will it all end?????

My handwriting has deteriorated too - even when just signing greeting cards, it looks absolutely awful:sad2: It's as if my hand has forgotten how to hold a pen properly :lmao:

Speaking of airfare, our seats were automatically assigned when I booked through 1800flyeurope. I decided I wanted to change them so I went online to the American Airlines website. No problem changing the Orlando to NYC flight, but there was no "button" available to change the NYC to Barca leg, maybe
because it's Iberia (operated by AA). Well, I called AA and was told it would cost me $25 each to change the seats!  Uh, no thanks.

So, not to be defeated that easily, I called Iberia. Got the seats I wanted, no charge. :thumbsup2

The moral of the story: Don't take their first answer if you don't like it and there are other avenues to explore. That $50 will be put to better use buying FABs, thank you very much! :drinking1

My pet peeve with regards to airlines is with those that charge you to choose your seat at the time of booking. It's not as if they are actually doing anything to earn the money - I'm the one keying all of the information in on their Web site :confused3

I am waiting for some info about a taxi tour in the afternoon which goes up to the top of the rock. I'll let you know the details when I hear back from him, if your interested. :)

Claire, I'd be interested in this. Would you be able to PM the details to me too when they're available? Thanks in advance :thumbsup2

Fab shopping btw - I would say something about how lovely it would be to be laying on top of Captain Jack but this is a family board so I won't. ;) :lmao:

Have to agree with you, Claire :thumbsup2

I hate to have to get tough with him, but sometimes he just leaves me no choice. ;)

Come on September!!! (But not too fast - still have to lose at least 20lbs.)

I really only need him for the military rate on the cruise. Of course, I do kind of like him, so I'm glad he got the time off.

Aww you guys are just too cute

Me three I need the 20 lbs off too

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm joining the club too. I've lost 23 lbs so far, but have quite a few more to go. I want to look good on the cruise and I have an almost strapless bridesmaid's dress to fit into in November.

That's fab, well done!!!! :worship:

I have lost the plot totally....and I have a feeling it's about to get worse over the next few days. Stress & worry make me eat! :guilty:

Well done on the weight loss ... I really near to get my rear in gear as it were. Unfortunately I have 2 weeks in WDW between now and the cruise which will throw everything off track, even though I plan to limit the treats :rotfl2:
I need to lose as much as possible between now and July, and then pick it up as soon as I get back. At the moment not one of my cruise dresses fits me :sad2::sad2:

LEAVE APPROVED!!!!
Finally. We've been waiting for over a week for Dennis' boss to approve his leave. Every time I said, "She's going to approve it, right?" he shrugged and said, "I hope so." Doesn't really inspire confidence. So I had to get brutal.

I showed Dennis the Mickey Mouse Club t-shirts on Zazzle.com last night, with his name on the back, and I said, "You only get this if you go on the cruise." Being an over-grown 5-year-old, he said, "But I want it!" Then I told him what it would cost for me to go by myself using the VTG rate (or whatever that's called), and pointed out how much we would be saving on dog boarding because he would be staying home to look after them. He looked absolutely shocked that I would go alone, but hey, this is my birthday present! Come hell or high water, I'm going!!

He emailed the boss and she came back with the approval.

I hate to have to get tough with him, but sometimes he just leaves me no choice

I just booked our airfare from Orlando - $534 each one-way on 1800flyeurope.com.

Come on September!!! (But not too fast - still have to lose at least 20lbs.)

:woohoo::woohoo: excellent Pat, we get to see that handsome chap in his fedoras after all :cool1:

of course a girl cant have too many bags, im teaching her early

:rotfl2::rotfl2: love it :lovestruc

so excited for you his leave was approved. My DH is trying to tell me he does not know if can go, the office might collapse if he is not there. If it's me and my sister, that would be OK too. Of course I want him to come, bought all the t-shirts, pins, lanyards, most importantly airfare: already. Fingers crossed, he actually askes his boss if he can have off. I think he would approve it if he would just ask. MEN.

Keeping our fingers crossed for you too :thumbsup2

Oh and I  how you call them FAB's, I may have to pinch that from you.

It's because it doesn't sound like alcohol :lmao: it's like a code word :thumbsup2

I love that too ... although I can't help but think of this as a FAB

I would so much prefer to think of this:

Gosh I used to love those when I was little :cool1:

Speaking of shopping .... the other day I was in the Disney Store and I bought this which was on sale for £6

I think an ipad it is :cool1: might have to get the pink cover though :lmao: Thanks everyone for their advice and comments, much appreciated :thumbsup2 Only trouble is, the apple website is showing up 2 weeks for delivery, that is far too long lol
