Sue....no fear of coming off pushy! :) I just appreciate it when someone answers my questions! Do they have to be the original Mouse Ears? I have a Minnie Mouse cap with ears. I'll check on that website. Thanks again for your help!!! :thumbsup2 Have a wonderful day!

I guess any hat with "ears" will do, but I beleive most are wearing traditional Mickey Ears. Again, it's whatever you like.

I hate weather like that - so scary! So glad it wasn't worse.

If those of you outside of the States haven't heard, there was a terrible tornado in Joplin, Missouri, that literally destroyed half of the city. It's just rubble - no buildings left, cars overturned, huge trees shredded to splinters. One of the hospitals took a major hit, too. So many people lost their homes and have nowhere to go. I read on the PassPorter board that one of the regular members there and her husband were killed in the storm. So sad. :sad1:

For some reason, the link just comes up as a blank page on my computer. :confused3

Poor puppy and poor Michelle! Luna, um, shall we say, "exploded" in her crate the other night. It wasn't pretty. But she eats the strangest things from the yard - crab apples, grass, bark - no wonder her GI tract rebels!

Sounds good to me! Now I'll have to work on some t-shirts for that, too.

Ours isn't so much the defence spending cuts as the waste - especially from the previous administration (which is all I will say in case someone here liked them, and given the rules of the DIS regarding politics). The latest controversy here is whether or not to eliminate government subsidies for the big oil companies. Drives me crazy. Like the big oil companies aren't making enough money on their own? And every day at the commissary on the Base, I see families of enlisted Airmen (and women) who have to use "food stamps" (subsidy for low-income families) to buy their groceries. I'm glad there is help for them, but wouldn't it be better to pay our enlisted people a wage they can live on??

Okay, off my soapbox now.

:rotfl2: OMD!! (Oh my dog) I would totally do the same!
I love that description Pat - 'exploded' - not nice at all. I remember when my boys were in the crate one day when we'd went out. One of them had 'exploded' in there and they were both sitting at opposite sides of the cage with 'it wasn't me, it was him' looks on their faces. Bless them.

I was reading about that on a thread here on the DIS. It may be the same couple, she was a DISer & her husband, both were killed in that Tornado. :sad1: They had just returned from WDW the day before, where they had celebrated their 15th anniversary.....so sad, my thoughts to the families of everyone who has died and all those that have lost their homes.

I will try & remember to check in the morning. :cool1:

That is just so sad. :sad1: We were watching the path of devastation the tornado left behind on the news this am.

Sarah - Fab photos...there's Tony again with his big breakfasts ;) Hope it tasted as nice as it looks.

It was a lovely weekend ..... weather could have been better but it was indeed wonderful to get away from it all, lots of outdoor cooking and relaxing:

WOW, what a beautiful place. We were in London for 5 days when we came to England. Niece is a HUGE Harry Potter fan. Wish we had time to visit other places. Looks like you guys had a great time. :thumbsup2

Those poor people in that samll town. How awful. I can't even imagine losing everything in 2 seconds. Our prayers go out to everyone who was affected. We had a horrible thunderstorm in New Jersey last night, but nothing to really complain about. My cat Zeus would beg to differ with me. He spent the night under the bed. :)

I can't believe that in all my trips to Disney parks I have never bought any Mickey ears .... although we do have "Year of a Million Dreams" Mickey hats ( with ears ). Hope to pick up some traditional ears in WDW next month, which I can bring on the cruise.

Sarah, so pleased you enjoyed yourselves. It is a really beautiful part of the country but it does really need good weather to really appreciate it. Like many places up north I guess!:lmao: There is loads to see and do and plenty of great walking if you like that kind of thing. Haworth is so quaint too. Gets lots of Americans because of the Bronte thing.

The camping pods look great, particularly to someone who has done some of the basic kind of camping.

If you are having problems with the link, send me an email, and I will resend the link in email. I know it does take a moment or so to come up as it a very large link.

Probably the same. I didn't realize they had just returned from WDW. She wasn't someone I usually "chatted" with on PassPorter, but she and I both kept up on the military discount offers and posted on those threads. I haven't seen any details about what happened, whether they were at home when the tornado hit or what.

Seeing that kind of devastation makes me very thankful for what I have, and makes me complain much less about my petty problems.

we have just seen this on the news, it looks terrible, its all so very sad, although we complain about our weather this makes me realise how lucky we really are,

Okay, that was the problem! Just had to wait a bit for it to work. Thanks!

There was a fixed bed and a sofa bed, a small toilet with wash basin
( behind the small door ), a microwave, small fridge, sink and a flat screen TV / DVD combo. It was also heated, and we certainly were glad of that.

I had a little chuckle when I saw this picture, with a shiny red car coming down a narrow street in a quaint village ... reminds me of a car commercial :laughing:

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us Sarah, I now really want to visit Howarth :thumbsup2 The last time I was in England was when I was seven, I would love to go back and get re-aquainted with the country I was born in.

I can get mouse ears if anyone wants them. Cindy
I can ship them to you, Just let me know if you want them personalized.
