Aww Claire is Stamford doing ok? I hope I don't need any matchsticks.

He is doing pretty good thanks Michelle. We've had a couple of incidents where he has scratched some scab off the back of his ear but thankfully the stitches have survived & the big wound on top of his head is finally healing.

I've been watching him like a hawk and when he goes to scratch I run over and rub it for him, I hope he doesn't get too used to it as when those stitches are out he can do it himself. :lmao:

Now that is a spoilt pooch!!! Oh to have someone scratch your itches for you!!:lmao:

Glad he is doing good!!:thumbsup2

:rotfl: I can just imagine you doing that too.:goodvibes I'm glad to hear he's on the mend Claire.

OMG it's wild here. The wind is crazy and we have driving rain and sleet

At least the power's back on again :cool1:

I hate weather like that - so scary! So glad it wasn't worse.

If those of you outside of the States haven't heard, there was a terrible tornado in Joplin, Missouri, that literally destroyed half of the city. It's just rubble - no buildings left, cars overturned, huge trees shredded to splinters. One of the hospitals took a major hit, too. So many people lost their homes and have nowhere to go. I read on the PassPorter board that one of the regular members there and her husband were killed in the storm. So sad. :sad1:

Here is what was done last year.

2010 WBTA Navigator

For some reason, the link just comes up as a blank page on my computer. :confused3

I have been up since 3:30am due to one doggie and an upset tummy:( I am a bit tired today!

Poor puppy and poor Michelle! Luna, um, shall we say, "exploded" in her crate the other night. It wasn't pretty. But she eats the strangest things from the yard - crab apples, grass, bark - no wonder her GI tract rebels!

Good news! Shall we set the Mickey Mouse night then for night 10 which is the night before St. Maarten!!

Sounds good to me! Now I'll have to work on some t-shirts for that, too.

:offtopic:

Because sick puppies and weather are so ON topic!

We've just closed the office and joined with the local people here in the Town and lined the streets to watch the Farewell to RAF Kinloss parade  The boys all looked amazing marching with their uniforms on and not one foot out of step. At least the wind died down for them so no hats were blown off

It's a very very sad day for this Town and the local area that they have closed down our Royal Air Force base

The Government have no idea what they are doing with the defence budgets and the cuts they are making :headache:

Ours isn't so much the defence spending cuts as the waste - especially from the previous administration (which is all I will say in case someone here liked them, and given the rules of the DIS regarding politics). The latest controversy here is whether or not to eliminate government subsidies for the big oil companies. Drives me crazy. Like the big oil companies aren't making enough money on their own? And every day at the commissary on the Base, I see families of enlisted Airmen (and women) who have to use "food stamps" (subsidy for low-income families) to buy their groceries. I'm glad there is help for them, but wouldn't it be better to pay our enlisted people a wage they can live on??

Okay, off my soapbox now.

:rotfl2: OMD!! (Oh my dog) I would totally do the same!

What is this all about? Is everyone making Mickey t-shirts and wearing them on a certain night? How did I miss this.....so much to read and keep up with! :rotfl2:

Yep, it's in Cadiz, in Spain today & Gibraltar tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Hopefully we will get to see her on webcam tomorrow then ..... so exciting :yay::yay:

Oh my word that is horrendous and so sad:sad2::sad2: Our hearts go out to the poor people caught up in that tornado. I suppose when we complain about our gale force winds we really don't have any idea. To have your home flattened doesn't bear thinking about. :sad1::sad1: So sad that so many were killed.

I was reading about that on a thread here on the DIS. It may be the same couple, she was a DISer & her husband, both were killed in that Tornado. :sad1: They had just returned from WDW the day before, where they had celebrated their 15th anniversary.....so sad, my thoughts to the families of everyone who has died and all those that have lost their homes.

I will try & remember to check in the morning. :cool1:

Noel told me that year year they designated one night to the Mickey Mouse Club. Everyone had Mickey Mouse Club t-shirts made up with names, Zazzle.com, and wore Mickey Mouse Ears. Apparently it was quite a sight in the dinning room that night. I got mine, so excited. Any other infor I could give you, just ask.

I'm so sorry to hear about the deaths in the tornado.:sad2: It looked horrendous.

Thanks Sue! What a cute idea? Where are you getting the shirts from?

Zazzle.com. Pick the one that says Official Member. There are a few diffrent disigns. Have them personalized with your names on them. Don't forget your Mouse Ears as well.

I should not say that, pick which everone you like best, but I think most are getting the round one that says Member. Don't want to be pushy. Sorry.

Sue....no fear of coming off pushy! :) I just appreciate it when someone answers my questions! Do they have to be the original Mouse Ears? I have a Minnie Mouse cap with ears. I'll check on that website. Thanks again for your help!!! :thumbsup2 Have a wonderful day!

Probably the same. I didn't realize they had just returned from WDW. She wasn't someone I usually "chatted" with on PassPorter, but she and I both kept up on the military discount offers and posted on those threads. I haven't seen any details about what happened, whether they were at home when the tornado hit or what.

Seeing that kind of devastation makes me very thankful for what I have, and makes me complain much less about my petty problems.

Just thought I would share some photos of our trip to Yorkshire last weekend:
