OMG it's wild here. The wind is crazy and we have driving rain and sleet
At least the power's back on again
I hate weather like that - so scary! So glad it wasn't worse.
If those of you outside of the States haven't heard, there was a terrible tornado in Joplin, Missouri, that literally destroyed half of the city. It's just rubble - no buildings left, cars overturned, huge trees shredded to splinters. One of the hospitals took a major hit, too. So many people lost their homes and have nowhere to go. I read on the PassPorter board that one of the regular members there and her husband were killed in the storm. So sad.
Here is what was done last year.

For some reason, the link just comes up as a blank page on my computer.
I have been up since 3:30am due to one doggie and an upset tummy

I am a bit tired today!
Poor puppy and poor Michelle! Luna, um, shall we say, "exploded" in her crate the other night. It wasn't pretty. But she eats the strangest things from the yard - crab apples, grass, bark - no wonder her GI tract rebels!
Good news! Shall we set the Mickey Mouse night then for night 10 which is the night before St. Maarten!!
Sounds good to me! Now I'll have to work on some t-shirts for that, too.
Because sick puppies and weather are so ON topic!
We've just closed the office and joined with the local people here in the Town and lined the streets to watch the Farewell to RAF Kinloss parade

The boys all looked amazing marching with their uniforms on and not one foot out of step. At least the wind died down for them so no hats were blown off
It's a very very sad day for this Town and the local area that they have closed down our Royal Air Force base
The Government have no idea what they are doing with the defence budgets and the cuts they are making
Ours isn't so much the defence spending cuts as the waste - especially from the previous administration (which is all I will say in case someone here liked them, and given the rules of the DIS regarding politics). The latest controversy here is whether or not to eliminate government subsidies for the big oil companies. Drives me crazy. Like the big oil companies aren't making enough money on their own? And every day at the commissary on the Base, I see families of enlisted Airmen (and women) who have to use "food stamps" (subsidy for low-income families) to buy their groceries. I'm glad there is help for them, but wouldn't it be better to pay our enlisted people a wage they can live on??
Okay, off my soapbox now.
He is doing pretty good thanks Michelle. We've had a couple of incidents where he has scratched some scab off the back of his ear but thankfully the stitches have survived & the big wound on top of his head is finally healing.
I've been watching him like a hawk and when he goes to scratch I run over and rub it for him, I hope he doesn't get too used to it as when those stitches are out he can do it himself.

OMD!! (Oh my
dog) I would totally do the same!
