I'm happy to do that.

Are we just doing our own designs or are we going to do a mass design?

Mandy - Your t'shirts look great. I am just looking at vistaprint.co.uk :)

Hi Mel
I think it sounds like a great idea....the boxes should be ok in your luggage or are you buying them in Barcleona or Gibraltar?

Sounds like a plan .... my problem is I prefer sparkling wine and they don't do those in boxes .. at least I don't think they do. Are you going to buy your boxes in Gib?

I think I will get them in Barcelona. :) What if the boat wasn't able to dock in Gibralter?? :scared1: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I'm pretty sure you can't get sparkling. Which reminds me I wanted a bottle of champers for lift off, well you know what I mean :rotfl:

welcome to all our new cruisers!

one word - GENIUS.

I've been called many many things but never GENIUS. I love it and I will take full credit for my fantastic idea :dance3::rotfl:

For those of us computer design challenged, how would I make these t-shirts? I would more than gladly pay someone to make me 3. :worship:

I may be able to do it and ship to you, and you just paypal me the funds. I have them created already in my account from the ones I made, just take off the Mickey Heads. I think they are on sale this weekend only, and we have a daytrip tomorrow, but I could probably do them Sat night. Let me play with the website and see what I can figure out.

The article went on to say if the La Nina doesn't form then they will downgrade their forecast!!! Let's hope that happens.

Someone's talking weather...I've got to chime in! I've mentioned in passing that I'm a meteorologist and I can honestly say that the hurricane predictions for EVERY year are "above average activity". It's a bit of a joke anymore. It's also amazing how many lasting-less-than-a-day questionable storms get named to help verify their own forecast. I digress.

More importantly, La Nina has already decayed and nearly gone away entirely. Most oceanic forecasters are already saying it's more likely to stay neutral or even become El Nino by fall. That's all good news for fewer hurricanes so long as the few that do form leave mid to late September alone in the Caribbean! We always cruise during peak hurricane season for the better rates and have had picture perfect weather 2 of the 3 cruises (not even a cloud on one of them!) The other we had Hurricane Omar and we skipped St. Thomas and did Nassau instead. They're good at steering clear of the storms.

The second graph on this site shows the decay: http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/analysis_monitoring/enso_update/sstanim.shtml

Hopefully the impacts from La Nina will also erode as quickly and we might end up in pretty good shape.:thumbsup2

Hello everyone. I just discovered these boards and I have spent several hours skimming over the thousands of posts. My wife and I are very excited about what may be our first Disney Cruise. We were planning on taking the September 3rd Mediterranean cruise but it is apparently no longer available. We are considering taking the August 20th cruise instead. If not, this will be our first.

To Noel -- I just sent you a $10 gift via paypal for the Lanyard fund. Please accept my thanks for your efforts on this project.

To everyone else who has worked so hard on organizing so many activities, thank you. I am still trying to figure out which of these activities we wish to participate in. I will contact people via PM accordingly, very soon.

I look forward to meeting everyone and having a fabulous journey bringing the Magic Home.

Best regards,
Jerry and Linda

OMG we are so excited. My BFF and I will be joining this cruise group. Our husbands cannot get time off and told us to go and have a good time. We booked cruise and flight, so we are ready.:cool1::banana::yay:

Pat & Tom from Indiana

:welcome: aboard everyone :cool1: We are Mary and DH Stevie from Scotland. This will be our 9th Disney Cruise and we did last year's WBTA, it was amazing

If you don't get them online, don't give up hope. Go to Rockin' Bar D (or whatever the designated spot is when you board the ship) that makes reservations for Palo. Odds are very good you will be dining at Palo. You can also check during the cruise. I ate many brunches and dinners last year on the EBTA & Med cruises.

Hi Lynne

It was Studio Sea last time, when we went up to waitlist for Palo :thumbsup2

Does anybody know if there is priority boarding for disabled? :confused3

In Port Canaveral, disabled get priority boarding through the concierge desk. They should have something similar at Barcelona :thumbsup2 Just ask one of the staff at the port.

Welcome aboard :woohoo: pirate:

Yet ANOTHER alcohol post ;):idea::idea:

I have decided this is the way to go, tell me what you think.

I am going to take 1 or 2 boxes of wine, which is a lot easier and lighter than the equivalent in bottles, plus one bottle of wine.

I figured that when the bottle is finished I can then fill it up with the wine from the box and hey presto it can then be chilled in the ice bucket :wizard:   pirate:

Good thinking Mel :cool1: My only problem with a box is you can't tell how much you have drunk :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I am really looking forward to Deathly Hallows pt2 too, I can not wait to see it. We loved the first part. :yay:

We can't wait to see it either..... it's like taking forever to come out  I'm very impatient :lmao:

I'm pretty sure you can't get sparkling. Which reminds me I wanted a bottle of champers for lift off, well you know what I mean :rotfl:

We definitely all should meet somewhere on deck for " lift off " and make a bon voyage toast to a wonderful cruise.

Where does everyne prefer to be for Sailaway .... in the thick of it all Deck 9, or up on Deck 10. We should perhaps designate a meeting point for Sailaway !!

ETA: Look below to find post on how to order with images that show up (not the "live" preview from VistaPrint links)

The one thing I don't particularly care for on the back is the "box" around the 2011 at the top. I can't figure out how to get that thin line off around the top. Can play with it.

I will call VistaPrint (after breakfast) to see if there is a way I can make the order and ship to multiple addresses, or if other people can create an account and order their specific shirts to pay/ship themselves. They are showing $9.73 on my account (each) plus tax plus shipping (whatever that comes to). Only adult sizes.

Thank you so much for that. Would it be possbile to put the disign on the front instead of the back? I have long hair and it would cover it. If not, that's OK to. 3 Adult size Large would be awesome. PM me your paypal email and I will pay you. Again, Thank you so much. :worship::worship::worship:

Hopefully they will be nice to us at concierge. I think Paris might be highly anxious at the port especially as we've never cruised before and if she sees Mickey or Minnie....OVERDRIVE

Yes that is a problem if drinking from a box. When the room starts spinning you've had enough...or more than enough

That sounds like a plan. Kids on Deck 9 and me on deck 10 with friends :grouphug: pirate: pirate: pirate::drinking1

I thought when you asked before you decided to wait to board later when you would get to go straight through.

Editing to say I bet once you are chatting away to all the other cruisers and getting to know them you won't want to be boarding early!!!

Here are two that are generic with no names on them, but look good:

Mandy....maybe it's just me, but when I click on those sites...I get a blank page....no pics. :confused3

  • Call VistaPrint
    UK: Call 9011-44-800-496-0350

Here are two t-shirts to choose from (hey - it's a 14-day cruise - saves you some laundry!):

Shirt: "DIS Postage Stamp"
Identification # 9RZQL-RA331-9R2

DIS Postage Stamp FRONT:

DIS Postage Stamp BACK:

SHIRT: "DIS Life Ring"
Identification # CFZQL-RA222-0H2

DIS Life Ring FRONT:

DIS Life Ring BACK:

The one thing I don't particularly care for on the back is the "thin line" across the top of the 2011. I can't figure out how to get it off. However, it was also on our shirts that we had printed already, and it doesn't bother me. My hair will cover it up anyway, and Curt didn't even notice it. It is the thin line going around the graphic box in the original DISign file.

Mandy....maybe it's just me, but when I click on those sites...I get a blank page....no pics. :confused3

ahhh..... then they must be tied to my account

Let me save the images and upload raw image

Give me an hour or so - about to eat breakfast (that I have successfully gotten out of cooking.....)

I will create some more shirts today that are "front only". I hear you about long hair - mine goes almost to my waist when wet. Pony tails have been my friend in summer.

After they are created, images saved, uploaded, I will post the Identification Numbers of the shirts to order directly from VistaPrint. (Wont' do the links since they are apparently tied to my account - will save images)

Oh - some images did not do well being enlarged due to pixel quality. I will have to look at those again as well. That is why I did the postage stamp on the front (smaller)

I thought when you asked before you decided to wait to board later when you would get to go straight through. Nobody gets to board before the 11.45 - 12 midday anyway.

Yes you're right. However, we have to check out at 10am (i think) and then head to the port. I don't fancy a couple of hours sightseeing with luggage and kids. Even if I could dump luggage Paris will be anxious and just "want to get to the ship".

She doesn't "do" big crowds or looong waits ;)

I was hoping to turn up and hopefully get priority boarding a bit quicker than normal boarding. :wizard:

Trust me, if you are standing anywhere near us you would WISH that we'd already boarded :scared1: :rotfl2:
