Oh, your car!!:sad2: I was sorry to read that. You never make any money with a car do you? Do you have it to get to work tonight?

I have just been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis after the pain never really went away from my acute attack in Dec '09. I never had the gallbladder pain at all, but apparently they believe the stones were what caused the acute pancreatitis. There were none visible when they examined the gallbladder after they took it out, but apparently there was evidence there had been some. The tiny ones are the most problematic! The pain I have is pancreatic.

Sounds horrendous ... but hope you can manage it better with your new meds.

Look familiar anyone ???????

Me me me, I know! But i'll let others play......;)

I hope you get your car sorted asap Sarah. I need to trade mine in too, i've been putting it off for months as I absolutely hate car shopping. :headache: Hopefully we will have the Kitchen finished this weekend and then I can start thinking about it.

I just want to report some nice good news. No, not the fact that we have PIF!!:rotfl2:

I had a change in pain meds a few weeks ago, and then had the dose upped this week. Well, I feel like I have got my life back with being more awake and less dopey, plus of course almost pain free. I didn't realise how bad I felt before. We both feel much more positive about making the cruise, just a few hurdles left. I might have to increase the dose a little more and then once it is stable go on patches, so that will be another positive step. Just wanted to share how much better things are.

 Oh Marilyn you poor thing, I didn't realise you were still having problems from back when you were in hospital last year. Glad to hear that things are looking a little brighter now though. :wizard:

Thanks Claire. I only wanted to share the good news as that is so much nicer for everyone!! And me of course.;)

Just a brief checkin. I've been MIA due to the time of year. I only have a few weeks to finalize my masters thesis and submit it. So I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I am not a writer just a doer so the experiment part was easy but writing about it takes me forever!

What are you getting your masters in? I remember working on mine and my dissertation, too. I'm with you - experiment was easy, writing, not so much.

Sure hope the pain goes away and STAYs gone!!!

Oh Sarah! THANKS for that photo of the 'chandelier' at the V&A. I LOVE it! We've been seeking out Chihuly's everywhere we travel - I started a scrapbook just of his work - it's all similar components but every piece is SO different:love:

Happy Day, all!

Me too, I love his work! Haven't seen too much of it though, we first saw it at Atlantis ten years ago when we got married there, we've also seen the ceiling in the Bellagio, Vegas and of course the chandelier on the Wonder.....not long until I get to see the Magic's too. :cool1:

I'd love to see your scrap pages of his work, if you have any pics. :)

I am glad to hear that you are feeling better Having that kind of pain is so difficult to manage everyday things much less a long trip!!

We made our final payment on the 28th so one less thing to worry about. I stayed at a Mariott for a big conference and earned enough points that we can stay 1 night at the Renaissance Barcelona airport for free  and free is always good.

Dan- I'm so jealous! Best wishes on your travels and have a blast :thumbsup2

We stayed at that hotel on points last years EBTA. Free is the
word:thumbsup2

Good luck with thesis.

So So glad to hear that. Oftentimes you're right about not knowing how bad you feel until feeling better. Continued prayers for good health.

Thank you for your prayers, and thank you everyone else who responded to my post. I hope and pray others who are not well can also report some good news too.

YAY for hopefully getting this out of the way and being DONE prior to the cruise! I was fortunate that my master's degree had Comps versus a Thesis. After taking my Research class, I had determined that IF for any reason I had to ever do a Thesis, my research paper would hopefully have been a starting point!

Yay for that!! It is amazing how meds can make or break travel plans. Once they are in-sync with our bodies, quality of life definitely increases. I'm so happy for you!! :thumbsup2 We have good news too... today's 6-month post-melanoma body scan had nothing the doc wanted to biopsy. :woohoo: We're clear another 6 months (and she is one who biopsies ANYTHING that looks remotely questionable, which we are so thankful for, but she found nothing on hubby --- I went as well to make sure she didn't miss an inch!)

So am I gathering the same person who designed that lovely work in Bellagio has work on the Magic as well?? I always admire that ceiling in Bellagio, and we are there at least once a year it seems.

Side note: Some friends are flying out tomorrow morning to cruise on the Dream! I'm envious of her, and of course she is envious of our WBTA! I keep telling her to take the kids out of school and go... life is too short... just do it... and I could tutor her kids prior to cruising so they at least know the math concepts they would be missing!
