Jeremy's dad and stepmom are using this as an excuse to come to the midwest from California - they'll be staying at the house while we are on the cruise to look after the dog and two cats, so no boarding for us this time around!

luckily my mum is looking after cerby. dont think she'd let me put him into kennels anyway, she's looking forward to having some granny-doggy time!

My parents will be watching Charlie, my little guy while I'm gone. In fact, we have joint custody of the dog even when I'm in town. My father refuses to allow my dog to stay at home, alone, for more than two hours. So, every morning after his run he swings by my house and picks up his buddy for a day at "Mommy 2's."

I love it...I hate when I have to leave them, cuz I miss them so much...however I love it when we pick them up.

You're welcome. It was our wedding anniversary last year and we had booked Palo. It turned out it was also Pirates Night... we had a bit of running around to do as we came out of Palo just in time to see the fireworks after our main course and then dashed back in to have desert

We missed the Pirates in the Caribbean Party If I could do it again, I would have postponed Palo one day so we could have enjoyed both

Last time we went to Palo on Tortola night, so it didn't interfere with anything else and as it was also towards the end of the cruise I wasn't too concerned about expanding my waistline even further I might opt for that night again this time as it worked well. I hope to book Palo brunch on the last transatlantic sea day for the same reason.

I was going to book brunch for early the first week, to see if we could get another one waitlisted for the second week. I was thinking the sea day between Gib and Madeira

Did I read somewhere there might be a DISers lunch organised for the last sea day?

I've just been speaking to DCL so asked while I was on. She couldn't give me the menu/dining themes for the evening yet, but she did confirm the undernoted:-

Night 2 - Formal Night (Sea Day)
Night 6 - Theme Night TBC (Sea Day)
Night 7 - Formal Night (Sea Day)
Night 11 - Pirate Night (St Maarten)
Night 13 - Semi-Formal (Sea Day)

From memory, I think that's the same as last year

Now why am I second-guessing our stateroom selection?! We are in 7134 (way aft with solid wall verandah). Just wondering if we can do better for the same or less $
