Hi everyone,

Wow, I've been trying to catch up with everything at home and have been working a ton as well. Andrew's 13th birthday party with family is this weekend and it's been a challenge getting the house ready. I swear my house was upside down and sideways with me trying to work, take care of Steve, take care of Andrew and the dog...not to mention yard work! Phew, I'm tired just thinking about it all.

Karen

Happy Birthday to your son! :cheer2:

A question for those on here that like to bake (or shop  ); as some might know I've been seriously infected with a baking and candy/chocolate making addiction. I've already found that many products are (a lot) cheaper in the US, where as others aren't avail. in our corner of the world. So I'm going to do some nice shopping to extend my material while at WDW. But; what are good places to shop for baking materials? Think about the "hardware" like pans, cutters, decorators etc. but also about the ingredients like flavoring oils etc. I've got a few items of Wilton I'm eyeing and by then I'll want to fill up my Lorann oils supplies again. I know I can order stuff online and at the moment I use Ebay for some essentials I can't wait for, but in september I would just really love to shop IRL. Browse, look at the things IRL, feel them, real shopping so to say. ;) Any stores I should definately hit? Any tips for those hidden special gems shops, products or what nots?

(ps; on Ebay there are a couple of toooo cute Mickeyhead mini cupcake pans being sold. Just used them earlier this week and I sweat; mickey cupcakes do taste better than the regular ones  )

Try Michaels http://www.michaels.com/Bakeware/departments-bakeware,default,sc.html they have some great prices on Wilton products and a fairly wide selection. This is for the Orlando stores.

DD showed me this video and I thought you might enjoy watching it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zp1BYzIVi0U
It's of a guy singing a variety of Disney songs - he sings both the heroine and hero parts along with those of the Disney villains. Hope you enjoy it!

"we laughed, we cried, we shmoozed . . ." What a great video!

Just bought my tix on Cheap O Air!! As they say at the Haunted Mansion - "There's no turning back now!"

I've decided to go from a 9C to an OTG rate - lowest I would get would be a 9D, and I will save almost $1k. I found pix of the 9D and the 2 portholes are cute, even though I would prefer one large porthole.

:welcome: We went with the OTG as well. We actually originally booked an 11C and got the OTG for just $100 more. Oh yeah, we are Leanne, DH Ken and DD Morgan (8). :rotfl:

Liz- Claire- I feel your pain about the diet. I absolutely cannot go through Easter season without eating my weight in mini-eggs!

Oh how I miss those! Eat some for me okay? :dance3:

I love mine and i'm going to try & resist wearing them before the cruise. Does Rachel (is that Stevie's tranny name????? :lmao:) want some Disney one's or just plain?

OMG Claire :lmao::lmao::lmao: how do I always manage to do that :rotfl2: and I previewed it first as well. I've changed the original post :thumbsup2

She likes the navy and red ones with Mickey and Minnie that look quite nautical, she thought they would be cute for the 2 cruises :lovestruc

My diet is a bit slow to start, mainly as I have been a bit under the weather this week with a head cold which then gave me a few chest problems and generally felt really unwell, so it's difficult to do any exercise or focus on eating well. I haven't put any weight on in the past month though, so at least I am starting from the same point. I would love to lose a stone before WDW in July, so as soon as I feel better I will be exercising a lot more.

Funnily enough I have been eyeing up that Monsoon dress :rotfl2::rotfl2: and what an amazing bargain :woohoo::woohoo: It is gorgeous. Love your M & S dresses too.

I can highly recommend a walk round the gothic quuarter .. it is stunning. Also the Gaudi houses are within an easy walk from our hotel. And the Sagrada Familia is a must see. It is unbelieveable. Last time we missed going to Parc Guell which was on my to-do list, so that is my one and only definite place to visit this time ( only there for one afternoon and evening ). It is also lovely walking down the by harbour.

I hope you feel better soon Sarah :)

I'm still trying to lose what I put on on the last WBTA and WDW at Christmas, so I was determined that I would lose it before going on the Magic again :yay: I need to exercise too, but it's hard to do it when you feel so poorly, so hopefully you will be back to full strength soon :)

I'm glad I put a picture of the dress on, so we didn't have the same one :rotfl2: I had adored it in the shop, but I wasn't paying full price for it :scared1: so was delighted when I spotted it on ebay.

Fab recommendations for Claire, we missed out on Parc Guell too, we ran out of time, so need to dash up there in June as we don't have any time in September for sightseeing, it's off the plane and straight to the port

Hope you are feeling better soon. I think I have a similar cold as well. Haven't done my c25k all week. Good luck with the weight loss, I'm right there with everyone! :woohoo:

Wow, this board is moving fast. Have spent the last 2 days catching up.

Karen, sorry to hear the news about Gary's Dad, he is in our thoughts and prayers.

Welcome to all new cruisers.:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

First the good news, Mum is 100% OK, the stay in the hospital has made her realise that at 82 she needs to takes things easy.

Cruise and flights have been paid for in full, yay :yay: for the aussie dollar - exchange rate is in our favour for a change, which is just as well as I have just found that Qantas are going to be putting the their fares up because of the record oil prices.

Boardwalk has been reserved for the 10 days we are staying at WDW after the cruise, have managed to get a garden view 1 bedroom villa. So if you have any tips or room numbers for our stay all will be appreciated.

Only things left to do are research the excursions for the ports, book the transfers to and from the Magic, buy the theme park tickets, and wait for access to book Palo's for brunch and dinner (my favourite bit).

Perth is finally getting some rain, after 4 months of intense heat. Our new roof has finally been installed and the pergolas have been covered, only waiting for the solar panels to go up next month and the ceilings in the family room and kitchen to be replaced and that is it for the renovations, no more dust.:cheer2::cheer2:

Although I have been on the Magic four times I have never done any of the tours on board, thought this would something that my folks would be interested in, so how do I go about finding out what is available and of course booking them?

Hope you all have a safe and happy Easter. I am going to spend at least a couple of days checking out the excursions and planning our days at WDW.

Burnice

All the best to those dieting/exercising for our cruise. I could do with getting a little more off just so that I can actually eat something onboard!!

Claire- I feel your pain about the diet. I absolutely cannot go through Easter season without eating my weight in mini-eggs!

On no, now you have mentioned mini eggs!:rolleyes1

I didn't know they have Cadbury's Mini Eggs in the US. They are so yummy! :)

They won't taste the same over there though. A few years ago we were excited to see an offer on Cadbury's chocolate in Walgreens, so bought a whole load. It was disgusting. Made by Hersheys I believe.

Well that's me finished my cruise clothes shopping, at last :woohoo:

I hit the fantastic Marks and Spencer 50% off dress sale and just won a formal night gown on eBay at a fab price :cool1:

DH will be relieved it's over and so will his wallet :lmao::lmao:
Well done Mary :)
Wow well done you!!! :worship:

I haven't bought any clothes for the cruise yet. :sad2: I really need to get back on my diet, it's gone totally out of the window lately! I say sitting here eating a bag of Mini Eggs!!!!

The only thing I have bought are two pairs of Birki's. :lmao:
I have not started either Claire...I did buy a pair of shoes too :rotfl: I'm safe with shoes.
Lovely Mary :thumbsup2

Hi Claire.

Will I have t get a taxi to the car hire office? Which company is based there?

Thanks

Mel x
Mel, we're picking up our car from Budget at PC, we'll be getting the shuttle:)

Now I just have to go book travel insurance!
Welcome aboard for real

Oh Believe me, I can eat enough of them for England. :lmao:

Congrats on paying in full, I have paid mine too....it feels good. :dance3:

Yeah I thought that after I posted. I don't like Hersheys either. You can't beat English Cadburys. :thumbsup2

Great dresses - the black from Monsoon will be great for formal. And you've got DISboard limegreen - maybe we should great lime green lanyards to match. Congrats on being a size 8 - perhaps you have been smaller, but so many of us would be ecstatic to be that size!

Budget car hire?

Is it Atlantic Avenue or Astronaut Blvd I need? :thumbsup2 What time should we get off the boat?

Hersheys chocolate........

We've always had late dining, so had late seating for breakfast on disembarkation day and have always been off the ship by 9 am.

Same here, always off by 9am...they get you off the ship asap on the last morning.

On the last night you are requested to put your luggage outside your cabin by around 10pm, which is then collected and stored, then the following morning you collect it after you disembark the ship. When you go to breakfast on the last morning you take all your hand luggage with you as they will be cleaning your room ready for the next cruise. Hope this helps.

:yay::yay::yay::yay: SOOOOOOOO excited, my sister is now joining us on the cruise. She is a blast to travel with. I love my sister so much, she is the best. We had so much fun on the WBPC in 2008, everyone recognized her the rest of the cruise after she was hypnotized and played Hanna Montana. I never laughed that hard in my life. I have pm'd everyone adding her to the Champange Girls meet, Palo High Tea, the Madira Tour, pins, lanyards and t-shirts, secret mickey. I was so excited before, but now I am extra excited. :yay::yay::yay::yay:

yay for more people!! i've added vickie's info to the secret mickey and roll call :)
