My family was planning on dressing up. Both my sons already have tuxes. My oldest plays the cello and has to wear a tux for his concerts, so he is used to wearing one.

My ds layne plays sax and he loves wearing his tux as well on cruise.

I don't recall anyone asking (but if they did, I apologize!): Is anyone planning on dressing up for semi-formal and formal nights?

I don't have any formal dresses (OK, I don't have any that fit...) and my husband rarely does anything more formal than a suit (NO tux). Last time we followed the dress code in terms of shorts/tank tops/flip flops and were fine. It was a 4-night, so no formal night. However, walking through the ship to Palo in a dress, heels, and wrap, I felt like a celebrity (albeit, a D-lister :rolleyes1). Almost everyone stared and commented and acted like I was the only "dressed-up" person they had seen on the ship!

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to dress up, but I was curious if anyone went "all out"! I can't imagine feeling comfortable walking around in a cocktail dress after my last experience, but maybe it's different on formal night.

Yes we will be dressing up , husband in a suit don't have tux

I will be dressing up for formal. I don't do ballgowns but I do wear a really nice dress.

If you are not comfortable with "formal" then you can just wear a nice dress or pants/top. You will see everything from barely meets the dress code to tuxes/ballgowns.

I did get my room assignment. I booked 11C and was given an 11B on deck 6. Little bummed as they came out with the VGT rate after paid in full date. The VGT was about 100 more than my 11C rate. Oh well, I'm on the ship and that's whats important.

Ordered myself mini blender for the cruise!!! After the atrocious day at work it was a well deserved gift for myself!!!!!:thumbsup2

Are you talking about something like a magic bullet? Is that for smoothies and such. I never thought about bringing mine, but it would be great for making frozen drinks, and mine even came with four cups with handles. :)

Hi everyone just checking in real quick because I've been without power since yesterday due to the crazy storms in our area and Im trying to make my iPad last as long as possible! I finally received my stateroom number -- no upgrade but I'm mid ship so I'm beyond happy with the location!

Hope you are doing ok!!! And keeping cool!!!::yes::

That's what I love about Disney. MOST people get that kids are kids.

Anyone have a private car company recommendation. I tried happy limo but looking for someone with a little more flexibility.

I was in a group of 9 or 11 (can't recall) which used FL Tours roundtrip in February 2010, although we had a small shuttle bus, rather than a limo. They do offer limos. They did a stop at a grocery store on the way to Port Canaveral, and I believe there may have been a liquor store in the same complex. I think the grocery store (Publix, if I recall correctly) sold alcohol, too. They met us at our Orlando hotel and returned use after the cruise to the airport.

I thought the service was good except they tried to rush us through the grocery store -- in other words, they promised 30 minutes and tried to get us out of there much more quickly. It wasn't an issue for us, but thought I would just mention that. I checked around at the time and thought they were the best for us, but I really don't know how they stack up to others today. Here is their website:

Ruley3, our families seem to have so much in common, whether it be transportation rentals, grocery stops, blenders on cruises (guilty), or cabin assignments (next door neighbors)!
