Separate bag check for CR guests?

I was reading through a blog that seems to indicate with the new changes of bag check, detectors, moving the opening show…that there is a separate bag check area for those walking from the CR. We are booked there and was wondering if thats the case.

There is no separate bag check area yet but it has been rumored that there may be one in the future. Disney is considering some changes to the back checks across property. For now those big changes are just speculation.

I'm not sure how they would pull that off since it's a public walkway that in theory you could be on at many different points. It just leads up to the main entrance so unless they fenced off the walkway and put it to a different entrance it would be hard.

I know a week or so ago someone posted a picture on here and yes, it was a separate metal detector and bag check for ppl. coming across the sidewalk from the CR. - The metal detector/bag check was closer to the parks - like around where the first few bust stops are, but obviously over on the sidewalk and then those guests went through the gates up there (these are usually blocked off, but sometimes for ppl. leaving at closing.) I'm not sure if it's still like that or if it was just a test, but yes it did happen.

It's not specifically for CR guests, it's for people entering via the walkway (of which the majority likely are CR guests, but could be people coming from that resort after eating, etc.).

Thanks everyone. That's the picture I saw too. We just booked a split stay with 4 nights at the CR so I was interested in the process.
