And can I just tell you
I have June 9th and June 28th on so many different alerts. From home to my job to my best friend to call me just in case!
MadamG2U
What are those dates for? I assume June 9th is PIF, what is June 28?

Don't forget your FP date too!! Mine is 7/7 :)
Just got home from work, and getting ready to put in all of my gift cards!!! This might take a while, but I will be PIF tonight!!!party:

I can book my Shutter's CD now, but I'm hesitating to pull the trigger. $194 for pictures sounds like a lot, but I just can't see a way around it. There are too many pictures that I want to be included in!

June 9th is my online cruise booking, and June 28 is PIF our FE List can be done so we can start personalizing them. :banana:Thanks Amanda I forgot about FP mine is 7/6.

There really wasn't a question if we were going to do this. My wife LOVES pictures and on our last 5 night Carnival Cruise, which was my daughters first cruise, we spent around $300 on pictures; and those were only the single prints! So when I saw there was a package to get everything on a cd, I knew what we were going to be doing!

It isn't really a question for me either. With three girls at character meets and a family vacation that includes my parents, there is no doubt that they will take enough pictures to make the CD worth it. I probably wouldn't worry too much about the money if I had heard of better service out of Shutter's. It sounds like a hassle or even a nightmare to make sure that all of your pictures are in your file. I almost want to take my laptop along just to check the CD when we get it to make sure that the pictures are there before we walk off the ship!

I think its a scam when you have a large family that requires you to have multiple rooms that the special is only for 1 stateroom. You can buy another one at 50% off. Now your up to $300.

I have started to hear about complaints with the amount of pics, but i haven't heard about pic not on the cd! Are they just not attaching them to the rooms account or showing when you view the but then not making it to the cd?

We are officially PIF!!! :sulley:::MinnieMo:jumping1:

Now to wait the long 2 1/2 weeks until we can check in and book activities!

The site had a glitch for me and all along (right up until I clicked make a payment) it had my check in date as June 9th! Now I'm disappointed as I wait....

I thought you all could check in and book activities at 90 days? What gives? Is it 75 days? Who gets to book at 90? Why am I so clueless?

This is from Shutter's:

PhotoBooks are sold by stateroom and not by group, party, family or reservation. We can link multiple staterooms under one account only if the occupants of the extra staterooms are the children 21 and under of the purchasing stateroom. If you meet these terms, please visit the Photo Gallery when you arrive onboard and speak to a photographer. We are not able to link your staterooms before your cruise.
If you are traveling across multiple staterooms, you will receive the photos you take as a family if a member of the purchasing stateroom is in the photo. Special events* or photos with more than 20 guests are not included.

So as long as it is your child in the other stateroom, they can be added to your CD. Also as long as a member of the purchasing stateroom is in the photo, that picture will be added to your CD as well. So as long as we are in the picture with my parents, I can get pictures with them in my package even though they are in another room. I just have to remember to link our rooms with the photographer so that I can get my oldest girl's character pictures!

I have started to hear about complaints with the amount of pics, but i haven't heard about pic not on the cd! Are they just not attaching them to the rooms account or showing when you view the but then not making it to the cd?
I've heard all of the above complaints. Most of the complaints about the amount of pictures taken sounds like people that are traveling without kids and would like more candid shots. I'm not too worried about that since I am willing to take the candid shots and I have three girls that will fill up a CD for me fairly easily with just character meets. I have heard people have found pictures in their file that are not theirs. I have heard people would find prints (since they evidently print out your photos to view?) that don't show up in the kiosk (since you can view photos on a screen?). I have heard people that have confirmed all their photos only to get home and the CD is missing photos that were supposed to be there. And it sounds like a pain to retrieve missing photos once you have left the ship. But possible blurry CM photos or me being absent from all cruise photos seems like the only alternative.

This forum has been so busy! We just got back from Melbourne Beach last night and I have to tell y'all my son is getting even more excited for our trip in September! We flew in to Orlando for our vacation last week and I have to say herding a three year old past the Disney stores in the airport and then having him see the Disney Magic Express and cruise buses go by one after another as we waited for the rental car shuttle was not fun! I kept telling him that his turn would come in September!

Looks like I'm late to the game but the ice cream social sounds like fun! I'll talk to my husband and see if he is up for it :)

How was Melbourne Beach? We are considering that location for an upcoming trip in October but would love some insider info.

Thanks! :)

We had a great time! It is a wonderful relaxed and casual destination. My husband was actually there for business so my son and I turned it into a vacation :) The beach was lovely and it never seemed too crowded even with Memorial Day weekend. We stayed at the Radisson Suite Hotel Oceanfront which was a great spot for families. All the rooms are suites (either studio or 1 bedroom) with oceanfront balconies. The direct view of the beach and being able to hear the waves was lovely. We stayed in a Family Suite which has one bedroom, living room(with pullout sofa) and small kitchenette (small fridge, microwave and bar sink), one bathroom (connects to the bedroom and the hallway) and a separate alcove with bunk beds which my son loved! The hotel has a nice pool (small but seemed adequate for the size of the hotel) and of course direct beach access. We dined at the onsite restaurant as well as the pool bar and found the food to be good-not really anything special but fine.

We ate dinner out each evening and found some good family friendly restaurants. Squid Lips was fantastic because you can eat directly on the beach (river) and there is an area for children to play-our son made friends with some little boys at the table next to us and they had a great time together! The food is bar type (sandwiches, burgers and some good conch fritters!) but well prepared. The Mansion (reservations are needed) was another great one though with children you can't eat upstairs with the view. Instead we were on the patio but the atmosphere was nice and we had a fantastic server. That meal was easily the best of our trip. We also really enjoyed Cuban Island. The food was great and the portions were huge! I ended up with lunch for the next day!

I hope that helps-we didn't really do much other than swim at the beach/pool and eat! If you have any other questions let me know:)
