I will certainly add the new family, but we will have to make it final at some point. If not, we will end up with one huge list at the end, and be struggling to get gifts together last minute . We are still about 7 months out, and I am pretty confident several more families will join. I finished making all my adult gifts yesterday, and I certainly do not mind getting the supplies to make a couple more. At the same time, I don't want to go to the store every week when more people show up because they are a little time intensive.

DON'T FORGET.......even though the FE lists are split up (mostly for budget and travel concerns), we are still going to be one big, happy family . The cruise meet-up, communications, and getting the kids together will be all inclusive to everyone no matter what FE list they are on. The only separation will be the exchange itself. Nothing else. I look forward to meeting many more families on here, and don't want anyone to feel excluded for any reason.

We booked this cruise back in July when the dates opened up, but cancelled because everyone couldn't agree that's what we wanted to do. Things have turned around and I just rebooked. It is my families very first cruise!! Most of us are excited, lol! DS didn't want to give up days at the park to cruise (he doesn't like change), but he will LOVE it once we are there!! We are DVC members and will spend Saturday and Sunday night prior to the cruise at Villas of Wilderness Lodge. After the cruise we are planning to head to Boardwalk Villas until Sunday. That gives us a 4 day cruise and 5 park days!

Please add us to the FE list. It will be DH Terry-Goofy, DW Amanda-Donald, DS Caleb (13) Mickey, and DD Carly (11) Pluto

Thanks for giving all of your info! I have added you to FE list 1, which is located on page 9. Any updates to the list will be made on that page, and you can find it near the bottom.

With that said, I have no authority whatsoever to say that. I'm sure lots more people will join in. FE or not, we can still bond here and meet once we're on the ship.

I have added Amanda's family to the first FE list. Of course you have authority to say anything you want! Please feel free to make any suggestions, or make any comments at any time. This board is for the ENTIRE cruise to join together, with the FE exchange being split only to accommodate budgets and travel restrictions. Nothing else will be split. Bonding with as many families as possible and getting to know each other is the goal!!!!

I cant beleve your done with the adults. I went to hobby lobby and kept saying that would be nice but how would i do that and this

I've spent the day on ebay and the DIS (I should be doing homework), trying to decide if I want to make my own fish extender or not. Originally, I wanted to make it a bit of a family project, but by the time I buy all of the supplies, I could buy a really cute one on ebay. I've also been looking at so many cute gift ideas!! One question for the veteran cruisers, Monday (Day1) seems pretty busy with the safety meeting, Sail Away Party, the evening show, late dinner. Will we have time to start exploring the ship and leaving gifts that day, or do most people wait until the 1st full day?

Just a little clarification concerning the FE lists

1. We are all one big "group" (no matter what FE list you are on).

2. Everyone will be invited to the same meet up on board the ship (no matter what FE list you are on)

3. The lists are split for budget and/or travel concerns ONLY. Some of those who have done them in the past have requested smaller groups because of the amount of gifts to pack or bring home....which can be difficult for the fliers.

4. You are not restricted to only one list.....if you would like to be on more, let me know. I will add you to any (and all!) if that is what you want.

5. If you really click with someone on here that is on a different list, you can always set up to exchange between yourselves if you don't want to be added to another list with a bunch of added staterooms.

6. I am changing our FE GROUP 1 to FE LIST 1, so we won't feel as though we are being split into different groups.

7. EVERYONE has a say-so on every aspect of the discussions on this board. EVERYONE has a vote. Never feel like you are stepping on toes or speaking out of line. I only started this board because there wasn't one for our cruise, and I was just too darned impatient to wait for someone else to start one. This is our first cruise ever, so it is all greek to me. I am always looking for input or suggestions to make things better or easier for everyone on our board.

Not a problem at all!! Glad you have joined in! I thought about making our fish extender, too. I am afraid I will spend all the money on supplies just to have to scrap the idea and make one anyway.I am somewhat crafty, but I don't sew. Plus, the ones that I found are sooooo cute! I have only looked for them on Etsy, not Ebay. I will have to check those out, too!

I was TOO excited to get started! I am surprised that I got the adults done first, though. I just knew it was going to be the kids first, but their stuff wasn't coming together like I planned

Would it make sense to wait a bit longer and then form groups based on kids' ages? Put those with no kids together, those with all littles together, and those with mixed ages or older kids together? Just thinking out loud here. It's our first cruise too. And being the procrastinator that I am, we haven't even begun to work on FE gifts. Hey, we've got months

I thought that's what usually happened. My friend is cruising in November and they will cut off sign ups 6-8 weeks prior to the cruise. Then the groups will be formed.

The only problem with deciding to switch and do that, is if some people in group 1 have already personalized any gifts they have made. I myself am fine with anything. Another plus of waiting to do it is that there will then be more equal numbers in groups.

That was originally my intention, but several people in the group had requested we finalize a list so they could get started on gifts. If everyone can come to an agreement, I will change it back. I am not sure what gifts others have already finished, but I have 24 finished adult gifts that are all personalized. If everyone wants to switch back to making the lists later that will not be a problem....I will just have a few extras to give out.

We have bought a little bit for the FE but nothing that can't work with a group change. We are good to wait to change the group up, that way they can be even... you don't want a few bigger groups and then one group with the leftovers, so it might be good to wait.

I think the last cruise we did, the cut off point for current list was the first day you could do your online registration. I think ours is around June 4th or so. By June 23 I think everyone has to be paid in full so you can get a better ideal of who's going. Just a thought
