Just booked! DW and I have cruised on the Dream 3 times now so it will be our 4th but this time, we'll be bringing along our 17 year old daughter for her 6th DCL cruise & 1st on the Dream Booked concierge - hard to go back to a regular cabin after the last time

Yes, it's our first cruise ever, so we are super excited about everything!

Well we may be a Halloween on the High Seas cruise so maybe that will work out We're heading to the parks before the cruise as well and I can't believe I need to make dining reservations so soon! It kills me how much work I'm having to put in to this Disney trip and also how early I'm having to do it!

I can't wait to book dining!! It will give me something else to switch, switch, and switch again, lol (I just switched our pre cruise resort, again). I am really needing something to do to help me countdown!

butsy- I feel the same way! I'm really looking forward to the end of June and the final FE list so I can get started on gifts. That's going to be my big countdown! Right now I'm working on making our fish extenders.

I just read this and wanted to pass it along this is the second one in the last few days to have drowned the other happening on Thursday is what I hear. Both of these happened at Castaway Cay. I know there is a thread with articles if any wants more information. So Sad


We just disembarked from the Fantasy and wanted to provide some insight. We were on the beach that was adjacent to the snorkeling area. One member of our party was snorkeling and the other was watching children close to the shore. Suddenly, whistles were blown and lifeguards were rushing to the rope that divides the snorkeling beach from the family beach. I saw them bring out a seemingly lifeless body and a woman (did not appear to be related) was carrying his legs. He was young and we found out later had a wife and 5 year old daughter. They immediately began working on him. This was around 11:30/11:45. People were crying and it was horrible. Many children didn't see because they were busy playing and parents did their best to keep them distracted. Apparently, his snorkel vest was tangled on something, which prevented him from raising his head. This was in pretty shallow water. The Coast Guard helicopter came around 4:45, which was quite some time after the incident occured. It was right outside of our balcony and although someone was holding an iv bag, he was left by himself for a period of time. We didn't observe any breathing aids at all during this entire transfer which lasted about 10-15 mins. No one worked on him at all during this time. In fact, at one point the bag was on his chest and he was alone. We were told he didn't make it, but truly hope this is not the case. This is a huge tragedy and I hope that more information is released about what exactly occurred so this will never happen again.

It happened. It wasn't an extended period of time, but my point is that no one was actively administering medical treatment and yes, he was on the gurney covered. I truly wish this was not the case, but the whole thing was quite a tragedy and we did witness it all. From the moment he was pulled out the hospital, the CMs worked feverishly to revive him. It took some time for the motorized vehicle to come to the beach and they never stopped. Once he was on the vehicle, they worked as the exited the beach area. Our server told us he saw them bringing him in trying to get him to breathe back on the ship when he was picking up his clothes. Again, I don't know the outcome for sure and we all hope for the best. We were told that he didn't make it, though and it appeared to support this when we saw the whole Coast Guard helicopter

She was at cc on Wednesday and I heard about the tragedy on cc Thursday from her when she posted about it on facebook Friday when she got off the ship. It was when the Wonder was at cc and a man drowned. I did not know about the story you posted. So sad. And so shocking that it happened twice. Do you know when the Fantasy incident occurred? Was it this week also?

I'm trying not to stress over the reservations but at the same time this is the first vacation we have planned around our son so of course I'm trying to make it special for him Our other trips have really all been for my husband and I just slightly adapted for a toddler-he still enjoyed himself but I figure this will be paradise for him right now!
