Besides Sensodyne toothpaste is there a good product out there for sensitive teeth (to hot and cold)? I seem to remember a commercial for something that lasted for 30 days but don't recall the name.:)

My dentist told me to use a sensitivity tooth paste (I like the Aqua Fresh and Colgate) and a Sonicare toothbrush. Apparently I brush my gums too hard and with the Sonicare I don't. Works great for me.

I didn't even notice that other brands had sensitive toothpaste- apparently unless I'm in need of it I don't even listen! Now that I need it, the Dis helps me. :)

we use Colgate sensitive with whitening (DH is here whining he prefers Crest - i'll just let him complain and continue with the Colgate....)

The Aquafresh sensitive toothpaste is the only thing that's ever worked for me.

Orajel makes a sensitive tooth product that lasts at least a month. Basically, you break open a tube and apply it to your gumline (where exposed root is). I use this in conjunction with sensitive toothpaste.

My dentist also says the most effective way to use sensitive toothpaste is to actually rub the toothpaste into the sensitive areas with your finger a couple times a day.

I think that the Orajel is the commercial I had seen! :) Thanks! I also tried the rubbing toothpaste area between brushings and that is helping. Thank you for that hint.

I think years of some teeth grinding has worn an area behind my front upper teeth a bit close. Gotta call the dentist...:sad1:

I have looked and looked for whatever was advertised on TV to last 30 days and never found anything in the stores that resembled what was promised. I was thinking the 30 day thing was an anbesol. But in any case, I looked at all the packages and never found anything.

My DH uses the Colgate sensitive whitening toothpaste also. Seems to work for him also. I have heard you should rub it on the tooth and gums also.

My hygienist gave me a special toothpaste to use. The problem is, you're not supposed to rinse afterwards. :scared: I haven't tried it yet, but I really need to because my teeth are awful.

Thank you so much- I'm going to CVS to get the Orajel® Advanced Tooth Desensitizer! Thank you for all the recommendations. :)

There is a product called GelKam.

It's a flouride product that you use after you brush your teeth. I use it at night. It's helps with sensitivity. Used to be available only by prescription but now they sell it at Target. I don't find it with the toothpaste, but on an endcap right in the pharmacy area.

I just knew I could get my answers with my Disney peeps! Thank you. :goodvibes
