Oh my goodness Jackie, your week!

So relieved for your news on Chelsea. Bikini over the brace would have been a tad awkward.
We were very relieved, too.
I heard on the Barbara Walter's special last night that they will have "help" at their home in Wales, but not very much. So many conflicting reports.
I just can't imagine that they won't.
I think they will have security somewhere nearby, and I can see them thinking being on their own is "jolly good fun." My prediction is it will all change with the arrival of the first baby. Then, we will see them have help...
I can't believe you only have three weeks left of school. What's the date of your last day? We have a half day on the 26th and then we work until 3:25.
Wishing you a relaxing week my friend....
May 20th is the last day with students. Coincidentally, it is also the day the new POTC movie comes out. I have a feeling I know how my family will be celebrating.
Wow, you've had a lot going on.
I'm happy to hear everything is okay with Chelsea healthwise and that they'll be keeping an eye on things for the future.
Thanks, TK!
I can't believe some of the devastation from the storms down your way. It makes me so sad for the people who have been affected.
It is just heartbreaking.
I thought of you when I watched the royal wedding. I didn't get to see all of it, but I watched Kate walk down the aisle and saw both their kisses on the balcony. Very sweet. I thought she looked stunning, and I felt a lot of romanticism and fairy tale quality to watching that wedding. Just beautiful!
It was everything we had hoped the wedding would be!
Glad to hear Chelsea's appointment turned out ok. If she ever has to get a brace and needs someone to talk to about it let me know. I wore one from the time I was 8 until I turned 18. I don't remember what degree my curve is, but I know when I looked at the x-ray's my spine looks a lot like an S.

Since she is almost done growing, I bet she will luck out and not have to wear one.
Thanks! I hope she won't have to wear one. It was a bit shocking to see those x-rays the first time. Chelsea said, "My spine looks like a roller coaster!"

The damage in those storm pictures were just devastating!
I didn't watch much of the wedding, but I did have it on as I was getting dressed for school. So sweet! I just had to contend with DH making snide comments the whole time!
Charles watched the whole thing with me, and I was surprised he didn't make any comments. In fact, at one point, he shussed me so he could hear what they were saying.
Glad everyone is OK in your house!
Thank you, Heidi! We were very fortunate. The next day my dad called and said, "You know you are very lucky, don't you?" I don't think we knew until we saw the path of the tornado just how lucky we had really been.
LOL again!!
I was up early with the dog and the girls watching too.
It was really nice to see something fun and happy and romantic. I couldn't help tearing up when some commentator commmented (duh) about seeing Harry and William getting to the church and their mother not being there. That made me sad. But it was such a contrast to their mother's wedding. Here I could see the happiness in both of their faces. It sure wasn't like that at Charles and Di's wedding.
I hope next week goes smoothly, you find great shoes for Chelsea and she has an awesome time at the dance. Is this a "date" thing, or does just everyone go?
Thanks, Sheree! I have cried a lot watching the storm coverage, and I teared up a few times while watching the wedding. I was pretty much a big weepy mess for two day straights while watching any coverage.
We found shoes yesterday for Chelsea. We had to spend a little more than I wanted, but she was insistent that she wanted to wear heels and not flats. It is a date thing for some people, but Chelsea and her friends have just decided to go as a big group.
I'm so glad that your family is safe Jackie! We don't have a basement either so have to go to my mom's when we have tornado warnings. It sure is scary. I bet you're glad that's over!
Thank you! When those tornado sirens start going, it always makes me sick to my stomach. Worst sound in the world.
Good news on Chelsea's appointment! I was wondering how that was going. I hope it's something that just corrects itself as she gets older.
Happy Saturday!
That's what we are hoping, too.
I have downloaded the new Kingdom Keeper book on my e-reader, but have not read it yet.
Connor keeps after me to read it -- I will probably start it this week. He keeps trying to tell me what happens in it. LOL!
It is good to hear the Dr. went OK. I will continue to pray the curve improves or at least stabilizes. Short is OK, until you need something on the top shelf. Sometimes if the lunchroom ladies does not look up you get charged a student rate at lunch.
So true!!!

I have had to ask people at the grocery store to reach things for me before.
DH, the cats, and I were also in the basement. We were lucky everything went north of us. I have a cousin in Rome that is still without power. They was only slight roof damage to their house, but he had two storage buildings away from the house that was flatened.
Oh no! Glad everyone is okay, but having to clean up damage and be without power isn't much fun, either.
Will you have school on Monday?
I am thinking yes. I believe most of the area has power back. However, the elementary school that was in the path of the tornado did get damaged, so they may have to send students from there to a different school. I imagine my students will want to talk about their experiences when they get to school. They know how I am about storms.
I was up by 5:00 on Friday morning. The wedding was beautiful. Kate makes you believe in Snow White and Cinderella. Just think she has come out against bullies, because she was bullied in school.
I did not know she was bullied in school. Poor girl!
One of my favorite parts was the video after the morning reception of them riding off in the car with the just married tag.
Me too! That was just darling and so unexpected.
Wishing you a normal week next week.
Thank you!
