My family just returned from Disneyland a month ago, and I really want to go back. I'm seventeen, and will turn 18 on March 16th. My idea is I can say it is my birthday trip/senior trip, and all my friends (Me plus five of them) will be able to justify coming along, and paying for it themselves. The great thing about this is it coincides with Spring Break PERFECTLY. We are in Phoenix, and I'm trying to figure out how to make it happen.
One of my scenarios in mind is leave early in the morning, go for the day, then come back at night. No hotel room, minimum food. After the park hopper, split gas and everything, the trip will be about $200 a person.
Another is to have someone in the military go with us. Tickets will be $125 for three days. We would leave early to go to the parks the first day. We could rent a CHEAP hotel room. (TWO NIGHTS, I don't know what price will be on this. Would like to be withing walking distance. Any ideas?) After gas, $10 a meal, and other misc costs, it would be about $350 a person.
What do you guys think? Are my cost assumptions accurate? Where would be a good place to stay for us? Still in the planning stages but I really want to make this happen, as we have all been friends since fourth grade, and graduating in May, this would be one last huzzah!
