Sending 365 postcards each day to DCL before our vacation

I work in a mailroom. Strange stories, yes.

One person doing this will not be a problem for DCL. Numerous people doing it? Yes, a problem. Sorry you saw that as negativity.

I view it as job security An increase in 1st class mail is OK with me.

I had been following along on your postcard journey awhile ago, so it is fun to hear that Disney had been enjoying it too. I think it is fantastic that they were posting the postcards in their mailroom.

Lovely that the OP did this. We often put up stuff from our individual frequent correspondents. Christmas cards especially.

Who knows, people will read this and maybe think DCL loves getting lots of postcards every day. I'm sure they appreciate getting a few. I know we have had to determine what we are going to do with boxloads of material. Not that the OP caused boxloads of material, but ideas get around once they hit the internet. DCL sent them back to the mailer, nice gesture. We can't always do that.

You never get snail mail anymore.

You have to remember that large companies get large amounts of mail that has to be processed, it's not just "a postcard every day."

OP: I thought your idea was creative, and your motivation, heartfelt. I am feeling badly for the negativity you have received here; shocked actually, esp from the mod. Maybe mod has experienced too many 'strange' stories and their perspective is jaded, or perhaps they see something I as a newbie do not. No matter what, keep that special place in your heart alive for you and your family!

How was I negative....I stated my opinion and let the OP know about the board guideline on soliciting.

I actually think the OP's blog is very nice....but rules are rules......and while I do not think the OP was soliciting for her blog I have to let posters know the rules.

But, anyway...since the OP requested the thread to be closed I am going to do that......but also realize that people are entitled to their opinions and not everyone has to like every idea or thread that is posted.
