Send dd to Neverland Club even if other family are there to help?

We are leaving in 3wks for WDW
My parents and sis's family will be there and we are all planning adult nights out (separate nights) where someone watches the kids while the others enjoy a dinner and a drink or two. Anyway, dd loved the Neverland Club when we visited there when she was 3 but now that she is 4 (as of a week ago) she can actually go there for the night on her own.

Am I crazy for thinking of putting her in there for a night even when we have free family babysitters?? I just think she would like a night of her own since we will be with so much family all week. Is it worth the cost??

If it is in the budget and she wants to go - sure-! My dd's LOVE the kids club especially afer a few days at the parks. Its time for them to just chill and play with other kids and Neverland Club (along with Simbas) is their favorite.

They think of it as "kids night out" and they ask for it every trip. So yes if your dd is social and wants a chance to just hang out and play with other kids let her go.

My DD LOVED The Neverland Club -I look at it as a real treat for a child, instead of a "sorry but we're dumping you off so we can go party" kind of experience.

She can always spend time with your free family babysitters, but if she loved the look of TNC, I'd certainly let her attend an evening there!!!!

My daughter requested it - absolutley loves her time there...to play with kids, games and generally have a "club" just for her.

I am facing the exact same quandry. Dd (who will also be just turning 4) would LOVE the Neverland Club - but, the biggest problem we had last year was finding enough hours for her to sleep. We've decided to leave dd in the room - putting her down VERY early - We have a late night & then an early morning planned back to back - we are then going back to the hotel where she can swim w/ her cousins. I plan to put her in bed around 6:30 - she will be asleep by 7 (this is a child who usually goes down around 10pm every night) I'd rather take advantage of our park time as a family - giving her some extra zzzzz's when we have our "adult" night out.

Now the only question is... will DH & I be able to stay awake for our big night on the town!

Its a cool place and I have used it for kids through the years but honestly I would save the expense and have her spend time with the aunts, cousins whatever family rather than send her to the Neverland Club.

Good point, OP if your traveling with family your dd dosen't see much then time with them would be well spend. Otherwise why not, especially if a cousin or two is joining her??

We joined family at WDW a couple years ago and all the cousins did the pirate cruise together - they had a BLAST.

Well she actually does get to see her family a lot - at least 1-2x a month. Also the other 2 cousins are 2 and 3 so they are not at the right age for the clubs yet. My other feeling is, we will be down there for 10 days so it might actually be nice to get away and do some bonding/playing with kids her age and not be around the adults who "smother" her

I am still debating - I don't even know if they are filled are not yet, haven't even called. I just thought since she loves Peter Pan and enjoys school so much she might prefer this but I agree with the poster about sleep. I might feel better knowing she is going to sleep early and we wouldn't have to worry about getting her if we wanted to stay out a little late. I guess I will see how our week is going.

My DS loved the neverland club!! We went there last week, he was there the day after he turned 4. I have to say, I will probably continue to use them. We brought him to sandcastle and he didn't like it as much, and we ended up picking him up early...good thing we were near by. He loved the themeing of the neverland club. All he has been talking about are the video games in the pirate ship!!

I went to the Neverland club when I was 7 years old (I'm almost 24 now!). It's my favorite memory of my life - it was incredibly awesome. I had no idea at the time it was a babysitting service. I thought my parents had just dropped me off in heaven!

I'm sending my son there next week, not because I need a sitter, but because I think he'll have a blast!

How nice to remember some of what it was to be a kid. My DGD is 3 now, and asks her parents to leave her in the "kids room" at the YMCA and at Price Chopper. She loves tp get away from them and play withthe other little ones her age. How nice to allow your little son a "night out" if this is what he will enjoy.

OP if you can do this, and your little one would enjoy it, why not?
