Selling Visa Reward points?

We went to WDW in February and spent alot of the point that we had built up on our Disney Visa. Unfortunately, we have alot left that will expire before we get a chance to go back.

I was thinking about trying to sell a reward card with the points for some cash to defer the costs of a non disney vacation. I would figure this would be common but havent seen it discussed around here ( in my admittedly limited search)

Do people do this?
Is there anywhere on the dis boards where this would be allowed?
What would y'all suggest?

Its a way for me to cash in on otherwise wasted points while giving someone dollars to spend at less than face value.

Why not go to the Disney Store and purchase Disney dollars and then sell those?

Sorry but selling of things on the DIS isn't permitted. It would be great if we could though!

I was going to suggest the same thing, except my disney store wouldn't let me purchase disney dollars with my rewards card. However, I WAS able to purchase gift cards online at disneyshopping with my rewards card without a problem. The disney gift cards don't expire like the rewards card does, so at least you wouldn't lose out on the points. You could either save the gift cards, sell them on ebay, or give them as gifts.

That's what I was going to suggest....purchase some gift cards then you will have them for your next trip.

I was also going to suggest getting Disney Gift cards on line at Disney Shopping.com

OR you could give them to me!!
...I leave in 30 days and promise I would make good use of them...and I'd be sure to pick you up a souvenir too...promise!
