I just sold an old Ipod on Amazon. It's in pristine condition and works beautifully (it's pretty much never left the case).

Aside from packaging it up well for shipping, taking a picture of the front/back of the Ipod along with a picture of the serial number (with the unit on).

I put it in 4 layers of bubble wrap in a bubble mailer. I figured if it was small enough it could go with letters instead of boxes and would be better handled.

I'm just worried about the buyer screwing me. Anything else I can do to protect myself?

Make sure to send it insured as well as with delivery confirm or signature delivery.

Other than that, there is not much else you can do.

I would insure it and make sure you get delivery confirmation. I sold one on eBay a while ago and had no problem.

You put it in an envelope?
A more secure option would've been a box, or a box within a box.
If you insure it with the USPS (and I hope you do/did) I'd guess that if you made a claim for damage they would deny it based upon it not being packaged properly. Electronics shouldn't be shipped in envelopes.

Yup, I would do a box within a box. DEFINITELY not a bubble mailer.

Already shipped.

I can't worry about the bubble mailer now. It's wrapped really well and was sent first class, delivery confirmation, insured.

Thanks guys, I learned for next time- use a box :scared:
